Try using a Paravane with deep diving Tassie traffic light lure. Trolling speed I have used in the past is more than about 5 knots. All the above I have used and works well especially in the lake's
That my friend, is fishing, respecting the catch and dealing with it quickly and humanely - nothing at all wrong with that. You'd be surprised how many released fish actually die.
