- President Biden twice implied Wednesday that his uncle Ambrose Finnegan was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea after his plane went down during World War II - even though military records show that the aircraft disappeared over the Pacific.
“He got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals at the time,” Biden initially told reporters before boarding Air Force One as he departed Scranton, Pa.
“They never recovered his body, but the government went back when I went down there and they checked and found some parts of the plane.”

apparently his family told these stories to him. however since he didn't serve in any part of the military, he can't talk about his own experience. apparently four people were in the plane that went down into the ocean. one got out and swam until a passing barge picked him up. there were no hand held cameras back then to show what happened there. these primitive people would have had to go to the crash site in the ocean, dredge up the plane, then get all these people out. then eat them after that. how realistic would that be. it would be easy to just go fishing instead, which is likely what they would eat back then.
