I know that I am about 18 months behind but I am glad of your pack 5 videos as I had to watch it while doing these stages as I had problems putting the metal ring in place, thank god for your video 😊 as the magazine wasn't very clear
Hello, Wayne. I really appreciate these videos you are posting, as they are a big help. Some of the info within the fabrication section of the magazines is a bit vague. I have just finished stage 22 and looking forward to more. Thanks again, buddy. 🤝
My comment RE: What I did during these stages, is I used Thread lock. Maybe my OCD, but I wanted it very secure. I used the blue, not the red! So, well...NOW that I just ordered ANOTHER one, this time from FanHome vs. DeAgostini last time, I'm about to "Get crackin" yet again!
Hey Wayne, i just started the build pf R2D2. I have it up to stage 8 now (with the other stages coming in the following months). I was wondering why you want to use the metal hexonal screws for the dome, you think it will be better ? If so, i'm going to have to look for them in out hardwarestore here because i did not find them on your amazon site.
@@WorldofWayneUK Thanks, just looked up on Fanhome, it's definitely 6 just ordered them , same purple Samsung ones you had in your hand. £44 👍😎 also ordered the 50 silver bolts from Amazon. Thanks for the heads-up. 🙂
My understanding of Protected vs Unprotected batteries is that with Unprotected there is a danger of over heating, short circuiting, or over discharging. Why would you prefer that over Protected?
It seems that the only way to know what type of screw you have to use in a certain stage is doing a side by side comparison with fhe live photos of the assembly in the instruction manual.
I'm also in the US.. I purchased these: www.ultrafire.com/US-Warehouse-UltraFire-18650-Battery-3-7V-2600mAh-Li-ion-Rechargeable-Battery-Button-Top-Battery-2-PCS-p9435 They are the same approved batteries shown in the instructions. I believe around issue #92.. Same UPC...
This is amazing! I really wanna make my own but I don’t know where to get this! I found the site, but do you have to join with a subscription. Or can you just pay for everything itself?.
I was building ths with you until just recently the shipping company won't deliver my third package because they say it's too damaged has this happened to anyone else.
So where does one get those "unprotected batteries"? You say there are going to be plastic hexagonal screws. Then you say if you don't want to use hexagonal screws, there are metal ones available. Metal ones what? Hexagonal screws?

Have I got deja-vu. Or have you already built this once before on your channel. As I'm watching loads of your other builds currently.
@@richardstevens3625 yep. I'm rebuilding it for the Fanhome peeps who now have the opportunity to build it.

so Update I got this Pack today had to come back and watch the instruction on where the first Panel went didn't make sense in issue 15 so Thank you.

Hi Wayne i used blue tac to hold the frames and nuts while i screwed the screw and nut together much easier
That's so cool very nice. 🤗👍
Also I didn't realise how much it weighs and this is without the electric installed 😮and still got two more head parts to add.
This IS the build you are looking for.
Now Wayne has the 'high ground'!
Very nice👍

Woot more R2D2
Enjoying building the R2D2 with my son, he's a big Star wars fan. How many of the batteries do you need? Many thanks, loving your channel. 👍😎
I think its 5. Could be 6

Greeting from across the pond. I didn't see the screws listed. What is the thread pitch and length? Do you have
amazon part number? Thanks
amzn.to/3HAXknI they are in my Amazon store also at www.linktr.ee/worldofwayne
Hello; I'm not seeing the links for the batteries and bolts. Am I missing something here?
Check later videos as it’s a bit early to get them from these stages
My understanding of Protected vs Unprotected batteries is that with Unprotected there is a danger of over heating, short circuiting, or over discharging. Why would you prefer that over Protected?
Because the R2 unit has its own protection circuit
It seems that the only way to know what type of screw you have to use in a certain stage is doing a side by side comparison with fhe live photos of the assembly in the instruction manual.
Can you tell me how much this entire thing will cost, and long does it take for each magazine to be delivered?
Most take 2 years to complete around £1200
Is there another spot to get the batteries they are still out of stock cna you add another link to get them that would help a lot thanks
They will be back in stock soon
4:37 Wayne goes full Yoda voice lol
Lol. I think I'm losing my voice lol
Im doing the fanhome us version do we need those batteries for that one also or is it just the uk version?
Yep. You will do

Hey Wayne, I am concerned about unprotected batteries for the R2. Are they dangerous??
No as the R2 charging circuit is protected

Its all in the video description
Isn't this just the deagostini R2-D2?
Yep
lol where is he putting that nut in again :3
Like video
Why do you build these models twice for Wayne? Surely it must be costing you a fortune with all your other builds.
Obi Wayne Kenobi 🤣
Wayne please, I need your help, check your email and instagram message.
