Hi, I just wanted to enquire, I have the verflichtsungserklarung, and the letter of invitation everything, however in the checklist for applying for the Schengen visa it’s mentioned to include my own bank statements as well.. question is I have a steady income but poor savings…. Will itaffect the visa approval inspite of the verflichtsungserkalrung?
@@ralphdias5023 if you have the obligation letter ; then poor balance should not impact ideally. Because with obligation letter your host is committing to cover any cost incurred.

Can the students also apply for verpflichtungserklärung for their parents...... I have contacted my ausländerbehörde.... they were saying thay this is rarely possible for a student to bring his or her parents here even temporarily.... please clear..... i am living in Rheinland Pfalz state of Germany . No, it’s only valid for 6 months. Or there should be a valid date in your document.

@@meetpatel1873 I am not an expert. I am only sharing my personal experience. Also if you read the documentation. It says the following. Copied : The letter of guarantee is generally recognised by the German diplomatic mission abroad for up to 6 months after it is issued.

Hi, me and my parents are planning to visit my younger brother in Germany. I'm going to bare all the expenses of the trip, food and stay for me and my parents. In this case is formal obligation required.
It depends on which visa you are applying. One is visit friends and family and second is Tourist visa. If it’s the later one you could use your bank statements, if it’s the first one then obligation letter greatly aids the visa processing. Your brother will have to send the original obligation letter to you.
@@RanjitSivadas it is the first one which we have applied ie visit visa, but we are not going to stay with my brother instead we are going to stay in a hotel and i will bare all the expenses. Now will the obligation letter be required in this case.

Hi Ranjit, Thanks for the valuable information. I am newly relocated to Munich from Indian, I wanted to call my wife for a short term VISA but the problem here is we got the visa appoint in early July and by that time I will getting only payslip, It is fine to show that payslip only and Job contract letter and Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis is enough apart from other requested forms.

@@dr.izzawaheed9092 mostly Verpflichtungserklärung is used for short term stays, less than 90. For this you don’t need any relationship document. For long term studies the required documents are different.

Yes you would still need bank statement. But requirement of minimum fund etc will be relaxed
