I'm seeing a lot of people asking about removing the vinegar, not sure why it's purely for a chemical reaction rather then flavour. I guess cream of tartar or lemon juice would work as long as it's an acid. I'm gonna take a guess that the OP has tried those already and vinegar has the best results overall.
Wonderful recipe. I made it today and my family loved it. It was really spongy and tasty. I didn't use food colour and baked it in 21 cm cake mould. It turned out perfectly fine. I baked it only for 30 to 35 mins because of the big mould. Thank you hands touch😊

I separate yolks from the whites before adding them into a bowl. There's less chance of breakage and spillage of the yolk going into the white mix and ruining the meringue if you do it first.
Wouldn’t it be easier to add in the red dye after the egg whites reached stuffed peaks and add the cocoa powder with the cake mix? I feel like the way in the video creates a higher chances of deflating the batter if not knowing when to stop mixing

@@saniya9137 it's better after 25 cuz usually sponge cake takes from 30 to 40 minutes to be cooked, and after 15 minutes if you open the oven, the sponge cake will deflate

Ok sure there was not a typical oven used but steaming a cake in a closed pot is the same concept as an oven. I still consider there to be an oven in making this cake. If you don’t have an oven though and only a stove top, this is an interesting work around.

Cream of tartar has the same result, vinegar is just the most common acid to have in the home

170° C 30-40 minutes, but it can vary. After 25 minutes you can use a stick and check if it's cooked or not(usually not).

The water is cold and still when the pan is settled, as you said it needs to steam so water must be boiled.
