About the "Kill all enemies" in dungeons. If you just kill enemies on your way around the dungeon (Not all of them, you can leave some!) whenever you encounter an elite-pack later on within the dungeon, the enemies you skipped will be teleported to your location and join the elite-pack. A banner on your screen pops up saying "An enemy hoard is apporaching" Makes these dungeons waaaay easier/faster.
The only issue is that they don't teleport the champion monsters (the ones that provide the damage resistance), so you still have to seek those out after everything is killed and 'brought' to you.
Yea you have to get into a grind mindset. games like D4 are played best with 2 monitors sitting back with a controller while watching something like a movie or a TheLazyPeon Review
It was a cool addition, but it was a little odd how little weight is given to both Duriel and Andariel showing up. Andy gets some build up story wise but then just kinda spawns in off screen, and Duriel just pops up out of nowhere. I felt like those should have been bigger moments.
@@troikas3353 I think it is maybe a bit defendable story wise that after decades of the horadrim fighting demons some of these demons are less threatening than in the Diablo 2 story. Our character is important enough that Mephisto is working with us to save himself and humans have a larger part in the eternal conflict now where as when we first fought duriel in D2 humans were barely holding on. Kind of like in the start of dark souls you fight Taurus demon as a boss but by the end of the game you literally fight packs of multiple Taurus demons.
@@littlekale I don't mind that they aren't treated as big act-level bosses. I think that kinda works honestly. It just felt a little jarring how they appeared. Like there was a missing animation beat. Especially Andariel. It really felt like there should have been a short third-person-perspective cutscene setting the stage for the fight, instead of just having it happen in the top-down view where she spawns off screen and walks over to you. It just seems like such an obvious thing to highlight the badass fanservice to have a short cutscene showing her ripping her way out of hell and giving her updated character model a hero-shot that really shows off the next gen design. Likewise you could have done a similar short entrance of Duriel bursting through a wall or something. Just struck me as an odd missed opportunity.
Bro got paid to play this ofc he's gonna endorse it lmao. He should very specifically say at the start of video that this is sponsored content not doing it feels scummy and made me unsub...
25:37 They're actually moving gems to the materials tab, so no storage space taken up at all! They said it'd be by season 2 though so not for some time.
idk if Peon still reads all the comments, but the devs did already comment on the renown and map system going forward. Map will now be revealed and all wap points/lilith statues will be gathered. we will need to redo dungeons, strongholds and side quests though when Season 1 starts. unsure if this counts more towards seasonal characters, or if ALL of our characters have to redo dungeons/strongholds.
such a stupid system. blizzard cant be this stupid. there isnt a single person that wants to redo all that bs. its just artifically increasing the grind.
@@smurfdaddy420 You earn most of the points passively by doing shit around the world, no one needs to focus on grinding renown. You PoE troons are so desperate to defend your $400 transmog purchases.

@@Esguardian She wanted to be powerful to end the eternal conflict, your first sentence even states that? @@Esguardian in the end you can't trust Inarius, he literally is driving his people crazy, killed his only son in order to get the key to hell. So he could have a one way ticket into heaven, where he "belongs".
To put in perspective from another country (Brasil) : blizzard don't do regional price (kinda like Nintendo, if I'm not mistaken) so the price for the base game is absurdly high here. - AAA games on PC/Steam usually are priced about 200-250 BRL (the expensive ones), - Diablo IV base game is 350 BRL! Our minimum wage is about 1,320 BRL and the average is about 2,400 BRL... so thats about 26% of the minimum wage and 15% of the average wage. Its quite a bad situation for us now haha

Feeling kinda weird talking about mob density while you picked World Tier 1 instead of 2 right of the start and switched to World Tier 3 somewhere 50+. But the gems taking inventory space 100% true for me.
Not really a point to play world tier 2. It just makes boss fights last longer for little to no extra benefit. Mob density is barely increased. It's a waste of a difficulty honestly.
Playing the game with the boys since we all grew up with the franchise. The cut scenes just hit different when grow ass men start screaming from excitement in discord xD If you are having a squad to play with, this game is a blast
I prefer solo most of the time personally. Grouping is fun for a change. I need breaks to get high etc though so don't want to make people wait or have to wait for them to do shit either as i don't have tons of time.
Love your videos mate! A couple of things: - Hell tides are rewarding in T4 and Mystical chests - Go to settings and check loot comparison tools. That'll help. - Mob density improves in T4 but you won't get D3 levels of density. - Fog of war will be shared across all characters in the next update Blizzard has a 13 page update coming in the next week or two weeks. Stay tuned!
Mob density is one of the parts they sacrificed to make room for the MMO aspect. Just remember this late in the game of Diablo 3, you were swarmed nonstop. Hell, Grim Dawn throws literal armies at you every screen. I'm convinced they released Immortal just to make this game look better.
the game is terrible and i uninstalled after beating the campaign on hc. if you want either a mmo or an rpg that is any good, try buying a different game than this. ESO for mmo, POE for deep af arpg, grim dawn or torchlight for casual fun arpg
I welcome the change of pace, wanna blow screen of monsters with no effort before even knowing whats what go play poe or d3. This game is back to D2 roots and i like it.
I feel like I'm the only one who really appreciated the story and underlying subtle meaning behind the ending. Humans are stupid, and no matter how much free will you give them they will continue to give in to the proverbial higher power that could not care less about them. Overall, gameplay was great, Campaign was awesome and seeing some iconic bosses return was a D2 nostalgia trip. Currently grinding for T4 endgame!
Nah i felt the same. Campaign was great. Ign said the story was meh abd everyone ran with it without playing it. Most people that actually playd it loved it.
I'm now 55 hours in, on PS5 Have not done any glitches , all solo play. Lvl 55. The game is damn sure a HUGE grind , but you may hit a brick wall or 2 depending on your build lol but once you get you build right , doing tier 2-3 you start getting sacred/legendary and it's a ton of fun 😊 I could understand it not being fun if your build is not right. Example , soon as I started the "end game" with barbarian, I was only doing maybe 2k damage on crits Max..monsters are sponges lol I finally changed into my own build and tested it for hours , now I'm doing 8k damage on crits , hammer of ancients / and upheal ..so much more fun now
I really enjoy your content Lazypeon. But if i may give feedback is that for a review you don't need to spoil the hole story unless theres a reason for that. And unless ive miss it there wasnt even a warning about spoilers. Just my 2 cents
Here is your review I have been playing 10-12 hrs a day lvl 80 druid lvl 57 rogue lvl 40 necro....its fucking rad. I haven't spent 1/5th of this time in a game in a very long time let alone in so little time since the game has released.
If you're doing helltides get the mystery chests instead, you'll need to find a map where their locations are as they don't show up on the map until you're VERY close to them. 175 cinders and it guarentees 3-6 legendaries, all sacred, as well as a plethora of mats
Mate - 10 character slots - 5 classes. I'm playing a HC toon of every class and an "eternal" toon of every class. When seasons start I would like a few more character slots or I'm making hard core sacrifices. One extra character slot per season as a reward, or more storage space? Btw I skipped from your Intro to the Pro's and Con's because I don't want the story revealed until one of my toons gets there, but fair play.
Honestly, I didn't expect much but really enjoyed the story overall. You can definitely feel the developers actually cared about that part and put a lot of work into it, not to mention there's tons of great references if you know the lore.
@@Sakisasvictorianmask It got a bit weak towards the very very end, but overall it was great. Donan getting murdered by a random pillar wall hand was stupid, though.
As a casual the story is the part I cared about the most. And it's mostly very enjoyable. 8/10 The older I get the less desire I have to spend endless hours farming gear.
Honestly probably the best you could have hoped for when original release was 2024. They close down 3 months and move it up a year. Personally impressed.
I don't really understand reviews that spoil the entire campaign. Surely for a video called "is it worth playing?" you'd want players to enjoy for themselves?
D4 is my first time playing an arpg and I'm loving it. Not looking up any guides or anything I've just gone head first into it figuring things out on my own and have had a blast so far on my Rogue. The campaign was really good with all the cinematics and even the side quests add so much to the story and world. I had a hell of a time figuring out how to take down the bosses for each capstone dungeons but it felt so satisfying to finally clear them. I do wish dungeon bosses were a bit more difficult. Maybe not as hard as capstone bosses but at least enough to make me be more mindful of their mechanics. It's still fun at lvl 73 to just run through dungeons and melt the bosses but I can see it becoming stale after awhile.
At this point, the only thing keeping me from playing D4 is the price. It's not that I feel it's way off or unfair, but rather I just cannot buy a game this expensive and then be tempted by a battle pass and MTX as well.
The rewards are all cosmetics so if you dont plan on getting cosmetics then there is no reason to get the paid battlepass. There is a free battlepass and it is for players who play a seasonal character.
Seems like you haven't properly read through the renown because everything you would from it, is actually account wide. All you get from doing it with your alt is just some bonus xp. I agree though, having to discover the map and the waypoints again is bs.
@Sua they did a "Campfire Chat"? Or something like that. Live stream deal on twitch. They addressed it there. I'm sure there are websites already with the transcripts and such
it is already account wide , it s just you can redo it for the money but it s useless , you keep all stats from lilith and all aspects from dungeon nothing else matters
The NPC quest isn't about build, the NPC simply do not scale in life with the world tier 3 dmg, one AOE splash, and they are death. Only way to finsih this event would be a instant kill build, who never let any mobs close to the NPC. So it is fine to fail this one specific quest. He even failed, the chest dropped me a legendary as reward, so i see the event only as XP gain, were you get mobs.
Honestly this game for me comes across as a "pump the brakes". It looks really cool. It looks really fun. I probably would enjoy it for sure. Right now there's a lot of honeymoon phase. The game has only been out 11 days. I remember Diablo 3 being like that. First month was great. After that, the honeymoon phase wore off. A lot of red flags popped up. Never been the same since then.
Diablo 3 had a honeymoon phase? 🤣LMAO. It was a disaster from the get go and it took them till RoS to get it on solid foundation. Diablo 4 launch looks perfect in comparison.
I don't really understand people that like these games. Every single dungeon is exactly the same and you basically use 3 or 4 buttons the whole game. The "world events" are variants of like 4 things, the story is weak and the gameplay hasn't really changed since its inception.
as much as I think the practice is predatory, the fact that it is all cosmetic, and ugly and almost not visible cosmetic at that, it doesn't turn me off from the game. The price tag however, that's worse then the ingame shop
Not that D4 story is going to be groundbreaking or anything, but just throwing out spoilers left and right in a video titled "is it worth playing?" seems kind of dumb given the apparent target audience.
I'll just wait till winter or whenever and grab it if it is on sale. Otherwise nah I was playing on friends account for like 5 days because he couldn't and offered it to me and honestly I think game has potential to be good but only after few seasons. Now it is just a servicable game that looks pretty but doesn't have enough content to hold onto after like 150 hours which is pretty bad for a 70 dollar ARPG in 2023.
@HumanBeing.. I looked at all the white quests as tutorial quests since most of them were hey check out gems here look at blacksmithing look at world tiers so I didn't care about them
As someone who never like diablo games, i am telling you this game is awesome, i think blizzard surpassed themselves on this one, they finally released finished game with a lot of content, godlike story, awesome cutscenes and great graphics
You get all the important reknown rewards on your alt, like more potions, bonus skillpoints, higher obol cap and Paragon points. The only thing you dont get is the exp and money, which isn't a bad thing as you get it while doing stuff in the openworld which you'll do anyways.
"smooth and polished, pretty much what you would expect from a Blizzard game" - have we forgotten Diablo III? Or Warcraft Remake? Go away man... Blizzard is gone for a long time now. I wonder what you would rly say about this game if they wouldn't have paid you...
D3 was still a more polished release than most other AARPG's and many indie games. The Warcraft Remake was honestly more of a special case of Blizzard hard-flopping than the start of a trend D4 is polished aside from its memory-leak issues, but even that is a minimal issue for most people. It's fun, it's successful, there's nothing wrong with someone enjoying the game.
I would say that the best version of diablo 4 was just on pre-launch days and slightly after the launch. Now Blizzard is nerfing the game every 24 hours, and most of it does not even go into their logs, game is hella rough for solo players later on
180 hours in with early access and i'm still hooked. Only made a sorc atm, lvl 76. Bout to roll a rouge. I ain't been glued to my seat like this in years.
"This video is sponsored by Blizzard..." Stopped watching right there. I was hoping for an unbiased review. A few other content creators also got approached by Blizzard and from what they said they don't allow you to mention a lot of the game's flaws...
What he was saying has nothing to do with seasons though. Map progress should be account bound... frankly... it should all be account bound, one and done. I think a lot of people will avoid seasons because they have to redo quests and dungeons all again... Honestly they should just remove renown from seasons all together and give everyone all the rewards from the start. It would make the whole thing much more fun, since it'd just be about playing the game rather than completing tasks you've done before again and again.
@@tgamer1510 you will be doing the dungeons anyways as part of nightmare dungeon progression, not sure how many quests we are expected to do though so that could be a possible annoyance. I find stronholds enjoyable and unique enough to warrant doing once per season, and there are only 15 of them anyways
@@ho1m Time isn't really my concern. My concern is being forced to do particular content that I possibly do not enjoy not just to have a viable build that can push what I assume will be nightmare ladders. Remember it's not just skill points but paragon points that are tied to renown. Seasons should be about letting us do the content we like to push as far as we can in the nightmare dungeons. In D3 I hated levelling, but you could basically skip the whole thing due to their being a global chat, just ask for a carry and you'll find something 9 times out of 10. It's bad enough that now you'll either have to know someone or use 3rd party sites.
@@yt_nh9347 Strongholds are easy and can be smashed out pretty fast but your other point is wrong. When you first start sure you're going to get a lot of nightmare dungeons that you are doing first time for renown but the reality is that eventually you're just going to have to go manually do them and frankly, I cbf.
You should finish the campaign now though. I was doing the same thing but my gear and experience progress slowed to a halt in tier 2 after 50. It feels like a soft cap.
That's because it is a soft cap. I started powering through the campaign at 38, finished it at 50. Just in time, sort of speak. Gear started really falling behind since I was overleveled. Breezed through the capstone for world tier 3. Even had to scale down to wt1 to finish the campaign, the experience boost from wt2 wasn't helping me. Now I can actually work on all the side stuff since the campaign is done.
I did the same (and tried to unlock all altars of Lilith, however some are inaccessible until you get to the at point in the campaign) and regretted it because when I finally got a mount in Act 4 it made a MASSIVE difference to pacing and backtracking. If I could turn back time I'd get through the campaign first before picking up side quests and statues.
The game is okay, as a starting point, it has enough content that if you enjoy ARPG's you will probably get some time out of it, depending on the seasonal content maybe even more. It's also fairly approachable as a newer player. But as someone with around 3000 hours in Path of Exile I don't really see myself ever playing this to that extent. Itemization is just fairly barebones and it's overall just a very simple system with (in it's current state) not many end game goals to strive towards. Combat is not bad but it feels like for a lot of classes it's just a lot of "press x to get resource" then "press x to deal big damage" and just rotate like that, occasionally pressing something that just buffs you up. It would be more satisfying if mob density scaled but currently apart from the so called "bugged" dungeons some places are just empty with 5-10 mobs in a room and so on.
@@UltimaGravitas I didn't really mean that, PoE combat is just trying to get to that one button playstyle. They already tried to automate things like flasks so that we do even less. Even when it's not the 'best' way to play people still strive for it, for the most part. I just don't find Diablo 4's current "endgame" engaging. Density feels very off, and after level 70, you are basically done with the game, you just repeat the same dungeons, but unlike PoE maps, where you have your own hideout and just put in a map and jump in and start killing stuff, you have this downtime where either you logout to reset the dungeon and go back in, not including time spent checking each piece of gear for a miniscule improvement because of no item filter. It's just not there yet.
@@kevinsims5791 At launch? Sure, it's not like there is much competition, it's pretty much the only AAA released ARPG. It has a lot of 'stuff', but not much depth. It's really good for a casual player. But for someone who grinds it out and wants to go end game, there's just not much to it, and thats fine, im just saying it how it is. Personally I just play ARPG's to reach the power fantasy.
Curious you didn't mention the price, especially since there's a cash shop for cosmetics (which you used) and that they'll be adding some sort of 'season pass' which adds cost to an already high priced 'finished' game? I'm a casual, so I won't really get into this. I love the details of the walls though, that I can appreciate, and the concept of Diablo world is cool.. But each to their own!
Bit difficult to follow this 1st impression, feels like the whole video was being skipped and not really showcasing anything. Not trying to be negative or anything, your content is always amazing, this one just felt like it was on fast forward
Don't worry the stash storage limits will be easily fixed... with real money when they start charging for more tabs after a month or so to avoid backlash impacting the review scores.
I don't know why people continue to give Blizzard money. I would like another game besides GW2 where I can play as a Druid and Diablo looks good, but it's Blizzard/Activision. I can't in good conscience pay for this game.
are you aware there is no class or gender identity, right? each class can have the same tattoos. For example, a barbarian can have cultist like tats like a necro lmao. Also, the same 11 or whatever haircuts can be applied to all characters. No variety or specificity lmao x2.
@@przemysawbrzeczyszczykiewi1211 yep, because we live in a fair world and he will most likely be paid by Blizzard again in the future if he says its mediocre. :D
Really enjoying your video's. Your reviews are on point. This 1 one however i have to disagree with one of the pros. The talent tree is brutal. And i do mean brutal. The paragon boards are quite complicated since you have to order them correctly and you can turn them. Players have to pay ingame currency to ''refund'' talents or paragons in case you wanna change something. I'm lvl 100 and simply refunding my skilltree (not paragon) has a bill of 3.8 million. You have to agree that is not casual friendly at all =). Cassual players propably want to change their talents several times to try stuff out and get a feel of what does and doesn't work. Dmg calculation is complicated, yet simple and really requires some reading in to in order to deal proper dmg if not following a mainstream build. For example in your talent tree and on several pieces of gear you would see things like +60% vulnerable dmg or..... while having a barrier actice deal 17% [x] more dmg... this [x] means its a standalone multiplier on your dmg thus increasing your dmg with 17% while the 60% vulnerable dmg is thrown in a pile/bucket with lots of other dmg multipliers to create 1 dmg multiplier. Also notice you didn't tune certain settings On options you can select the checkbox for advanced tooltip and advanced compare tooltip. Enabling this shows gear more similar how you would see diablo 3 gear with holding ALT. On the mothers ring where you get 25% of resource cost refunded it would show [ 20 - 40 ] in brackets showing you the min-max rolls giving you a better idea of how good the item can be and how good your item is compared to that. The con about storage shortage we all agree 100%. We pretty much decided NOT to start an alt cause we were alrdy struggling with storage while playing 1 character. Simply thinking i have to share that limited space with another character makes it a solid NO.
just so people know that watch this in the future currently helltides are prolly the most rewarding endgame activity they are VERY good if you know what your doing
I feel like they used diablo immortal as the groundwork for diablo 4.... So far im just not feeling it, theres something off about it. I also feel like the loot system is completely different now. No longer seeing tons of drops for all classes, only really seeing class specific stuff all the time. The vendors in town in previous games would actually have fair priced gear thats actually an upgrade sometimes... In this game they seem to only carry like three items and 2 of them are common.
I really wish i could enjoy Diablo 4, since im a diehard diablo fan, but sadly the price is too expensive here in Brazil since Blizzard didnt want to apply regional pricing. Game is 350 reais, which is roughly 25% of the minimum wage. To top it all of, i recently had my gpu dying, so i had to use my emergency money to save my pc. Guess i'll have to wait some years until they drop a good promo or something like that.
The Villain: "Lilith" Her Goal: Eternal Peace for Sanctuary and the people there by destroying heaven and hell WE MUST STOP HER! such a weird story line Yes there are definitely way too many "explode on death" type of mobs.
typical normie type of writing. transforming a true evil into a chaotic good and justyfing her actions.... boring and typical for blizzard. theyre villains themselves with activision
@@naughtycultmemes784 damn guys I just wanted to point out that the story kind of didn't make sense, no need to turn on one another, especially in defense of activision blizzard
Story is nonsensical cookie cutter bullshit as it is now it had potential multiple times to be great and ended up always being either the boring route or the nonsense route.
After for sure. Priority should be campaign so you can unlock the higher tiers and additional content. Wandering around to statues after finishing campaign and tier 2 capstone dungeon means you can do it at the next tier, and get better drops and experience while doing the content that requires traversing the map anyway.
I couldn't do it. I blame Bobby Kotick for the current state of gaming, (which has its pros & cons). I can't in good conscience give anything money that he is directly connected to now.
so with the renown system, what it seems like to me is renown is the main system of having activities so a list of things you can complete on all characters. so with the map being fogged out i think is because area discovery is part of the renown system so having it covered is part of letting that character collect it those tasks because the main content is collecting renown. what they should do is have it to once you have a character discover the area on all characters its revealed on the map, but grayed out so you still know what regions you still need to discover on that character if you're trying to complete renown. luckily they said gems will be added to the materials page but that wont happen until season 2, and they also are reducing renown farm for season 1
when he said he thought he should try capstone while having trouble with T19 I was like OH BOY YOU'RE IN FOR A TREAT hahahaha. My biggest tip to you is, to use focus and wand, take off your staff and stack as much as possible cd reduction and mana cost reduction. 1 More con btw, game has a vram leak! No matter what you put in your texture it will eventually eat your whole vram.
I couldn't even begin to tell you how many hours I put into Diablo 2 with my friends. It had to be hundreds of hours, easily. I played Diablo 3 through the campaign but found little reason to keep on playing. Diablo 4 looks fine, but I can't help thinking "I've done all this before." Maybe this game isn't for me and is aimed at younger people who didn't have that D2 experience already like I did. Which is fine, not everything has to be just for me. I just have no interest myself.
@@jpperformance86 Yeah, it's hard to say cause things didn't keep track of that like Steam does now. We'd do 12-16 hour marathons when everyone was off work. Probably some of my greatest gaming memories. I guess that's why new ones don't feel as good. I won't ever be able to replicate that feeling.
This comment encapsulates perfectly how I feel about Diablo 4, it's actually exactly how I see it. Since I played Diablo 2 back in the days I just don't see the appeal of Diablo 4, like I didn't find the appeal playing Diablo 3. To me it's also a graphics thing, I can't go over the fact that I prefer 3D rendered as sprites like OG Diablo 2, I can't even look at Diablo 2 resurrected without feeling a little sting in my heart...
I'm a long time lover of Diablo, but only recently am getting into WoW. It seems most Blizzard players only like one or the other franchise, so I'm happy to see someone who enjoys both
After the campaign, it becomes unsatisfying to play the game, like there is no interesting objective to do like Raids in WoW, M+, ranked pvp..., BG....the game feels really empty
He has been paid to review other games, where he has stated he’s free to review how he wants. If you actually watched the video, or even just checked pros and cons you’d see he was critical. But hey, if you wanna disregard it that’s up to you
map discovery will be implemented in season 1 and will be uncovered indefinitely also you will get the renown for it and the alters unlocking the first 2 renown rewards if you have the map uncovered and all alters found. also the devs are working on making the gems not take up inventory but instead be stored as more of a currency
Level scaling really just shouldn't exist in RPGs, especially ARPGs. It completely removes any sense of power progression as you level which should be a key element to get right in any RPG. I don't think it's a deal-breaker for D4 specifically, as they have their reasons to add level scaling, but there's no denying that it just feels bad.
When you give your money to Blizzard out of nostalgia and desperation for a new game, their board and investors only hear this: keep being a shitty company, it's working.
It's way better than Diablo 3 and it's a world we haven't experienced before. Considering there's nothing else out it's been a steal for me. My friend and I play it every day and we love it. We actually have something to play other than Sons of the Forest
The fact you can be “done” with a character was a big turn off for me. Levelling over and over again in seasons is not enough for me. I want a reason to play the characters I’ve worked hard on.
There is a gem fix coming soon where the gems will not be inventory, but treated like the upgrade mats, so that is good. They are definitely listening and tryin to improve as the go a long. Will be fun to play seasons when I get my ARPG itch.
Why does it need to be coming soon? Are they even playing their own game? Gems were already ass in Diablo 3 for 10 years, taking up 5+ inventory slots, and having to pick them up individually instead of auto pickup. "They're listening" = release the game with minor annoyance, fix post release for free PR. Lmao
"extensive skill tree" that's when I knew he had no clue what he was talking about. There's TWO options per skill... Even D3 had 5 options per skill...
Cons: lack of building characters, theorycrafting and everything else that is staple to ARPGs. They literally outdeved themselves out of the genre they popularized. lol

@defcultist i hate blizzard as well but love diablo wasnt for this game i wouldnt buy from them
I’ve tried this and it still left one or two left leaving me to back track all the to the beginning to kill two little tiny skeletons
The only issue is that they don't teleport the champion monsters (the ones that provide the damage resistance), so you still have to seek those out after everything is killed and 'brought' to you.
Ive tried so many times to get into these games. I always finish the campaign and get painfully bored trying to get better gear.
I feel this. The grind becomes very meh after beating the campaign.
Yea you have to get into a grind mindset. games like D4 are played best with 2 monitors sitting back with a controller while watching something like a movie or a TheLazyPeon Review
I only play for the campaign
That's almost every RPG game tbh once you finish the main story is off to get better loot
@wiichii2620 yeah you're right, but I played wow for 15 years and didn't have the same problem
That Boss you mentioned looks like a Pit lord, is Duriel from Diablo 2. It was a nightmare to kill him back then. I'm glad Blizzard brought him back!
@@troikas3353 yeah that was so anticlimatic considering how important Andariel and Duriel were to the D2 story.
Duriel was so irritating. All you had to do was drip feed cold resist potions to trivialize him, but how were people supposed to know that?
The potions not being upgraded got to me xD so happy he finally did it!

Small Indie studio Blizzard needs 8 months to implement a separate tab for gems, too bad, pretty sure I won't be playing D4 by that time anyway.
Woopty do what about the rest of the greedy mess?
idk if Peon still reads all the comments, but the devs did already comment on the renown and map system going forward. Map will now be revealed and all wap points/lilith statues will be gathered. we will need to redo dungeons, strongholds and side quests though when Season 1 starts. unsure if this counts more towards seasonal characters, or if ALL of our characters have to redo dungeons/strongholds.

To put in perspective from another country (Brasil) : blizzard don't do regional price (kinda like Nintendo, if I'm not mistaken) so the price for the base game is absurdly high here.
- AAA games on PC/Steam usually are priced about 200-250 BRL (the expensive ones),
- Diablo IV base game is 350 BRL!
Our minimum wage is about 1,320 BRL and the average is about 2,400 BRL... so thats about 26% of the minimum wage and 15% of the average wage.
Its quite a bad situation for us now haha

Not really a point to play world tier 2. It just makes boss fights last longer for little to no extra benefit. Mob density is barely increased. It's a waste of a difficulty honestly.

A couple of things:
- Hell tides are rewarding in T4 and Mystical chests
- Go to settings and check loot comparison tools. That'll help.
- Mob density improves in T4 but you won't get D3 levels of density.
- Fog of war will be shared across all characters in the next update
Blizzard has a 13 page update coming in the next week or two weeks. Stay tuned!
Mob density is one of the parts they sacrificed to make room for the MMO aspect. Just remember this late in the game of Diablo 3, you were swarmed nonstop. Hell, Grim Dawn throws literal armies at you every screen. I'm convinced they released Immortal just to make this game look better.
🤣🤣🤣
the game is terrible and i uninstalled after beating the campaign on hc. if you want either a mmo or an rpg that is any good, try buying a different game than this. ESO for mmo, POE for deep af arpg, grim dawn or torchlight for casual fun arpg

Slightly disappointed, that Peon did not recognize Duriel, but it is also true, that Diablo 2 is a pretty old game...
He didn't know anyone in the story aside from Donan for some reason.
"Follow and old man" (Meshif)
"Another boss" (Andariel)/(Duriel)
Seems like Peon is not a huge Diablo fan.
Im literally just tabbing through every cutscene and dialogue i couldnt care less about the story i just want to grind loot
I'm now 55 hours in, on PS5
Have not done any glitches , all solo play. Lvl 55.
The game is damn sure a HUGE grind , but you may hit a brick wall or 2 depending on your build lol but once you get you build right , doing tier 2-3 you start getting sacred/legendary and it's a ton of fun 😊
I could understand it not being fun if your build is not right.
Example , soon as I started the "end game" with barbarian, I was only doing maybe 2k damage on crits Max..monsters are sponges lol
I finally changed into my own build and tested it for hours , now I'm doing 8k damage on crits , hammer of ancients / and upheal ..so much more fun now
I was also 3 levels below for the Lilith fight. I like that you get rewarded for building your character efficiently
Many say the story is irrelevant yet i am thoroughly enjoying the story in the game. I would even say its great. Simplistic but in a very good way.

It's still fun at lvl 73 to just run through dungeons and melt the bosses but I can see it becoming stale after awhile.
wow how old are you
? you played urself big time ..... there are 3 way better games out there than this trash u just robbeed urself 100 dollars LOL
Related to the Helltides, they are not that rewarding if you don't open mysterious chests. Those usually drop around 3 or 4 legendaries
Seems like you haven't properly read through the renown because everything you would from it, is actually account wide. All you get from doing it with your alt is just some bonus xp.
I agree though, having to discover the map and the waypoints again is bs.
Really glad they are making the map and renown and altars account wide in a future patch.

Pretty sure Lazypeon loves the detail of this game
Brother D3 had a disastrous launch idk what you're talking about when you say that the first month was great lol
Diablo 3 had a honeymoon phase? 🤣LMAO. It was a disaster from the get go and it took them till RoS to get it on solid foundation. Diablo 4 launch looks perfect in comparison.
Yeah....thats not what happened though.
I don't really understand people that like these games. Every single dungeon is exactly the same and you basically use 3 or 4 buttons the whole game. The "world events" are variants of like 4 things, the story is weak and the gameplay hasn't really changed since its inception.
Its crazy to think you pay full price for AAA game just to witness an in-game store, Blizzard knows how to milk games
as much as I think the practice is predatory, the fact that it is all cosmetic, and ugly and almost not visible cosmetic at that, it doesn't turn me off from the game.
The price tag however, that's worse then the ingame shop
Good thing it's all optional and has no bearing on playing the game.

Not that D4 story is going to be groundbreaking or anything, but just throwing out spoilers left and right in a video titled "is it worth playing?" seems kind of dumb given the apparent target audience.
I'll just wait till winter or whenever and grab it if it is on sale. Otherwise nah I was playing on friends account for like 5 days because he couldn't and offered it to me and honestly I think game has potential to be good but only after few seasons. i didnt notice the class quest until i was level 57 already running tier 11 nightmares made a huge difference
It literally shows up as a priority quest lmao how did you not notice for like 25-40 levels?
@HumanBeing.. I looked at all the white quests as tutorial quests since most of them were hey check out gems here look at blacksmithing look at world tiers so I didn't care about them
21:55 if you read the screen it tells you what is account wide or character only. It's literally spelled out.

You get all the important reknown rewards on your alt, like more potions, bonus skillpoints, higher obol cap and Paragon points. The only thing you dont get is the exp and money, which isn't a bad thing as you get it while doing stuff in the openworld which you'll do anyways.

D3 was still a more polished release than most other AARPG's and many indie games. The Warcraft Remake was honestly more of a special case of Blizzard hard-flopping than the start of a trend
D4 is polished aside from its memory-leak issues, but even that is a minimal issue for most people. It's fun, it's successful, there's nothing wrong with someone enjoying the game.

They just talked about renown for seasons, it seems some parts of it will transfer over (areas discovered and altars)

Should have finished the campaign long ago. I did the same thing and now for a massive chunk of the game you’ll zero experience… it feels shit.
Because Diablo isn't meant for Path of Exile autists.
PoE combat is engaging?
D4 is a bigger and better game than any other ARPG launched. There is a cap in d4 as far as power is concerned and thats a good thing.

Also notice you didn't tune certain settings
On options you can select the checkbox for advanced tooltip and advanced compare tooltip.
Yup, because everything else got nerfed already.

This is exacrly what ive been waiting for, i need to know if its worth before committing
helltides are really good, but only if you strictly open them 175's chests.
The Villain: "Lilith"
Her Goal: Eternal Peace for Sanctuary and the people there by destroying heaven and hell
WE MUST STOP HER!
such a weird story line
Yes there are definitely way too many "explode on death" type of mobs.
typical normie type of writing. transforming a true evil into a chaotic good and justyfing her actions.... boring and typical for blizzard. theyre villains themselves with activision
@@ImotekhtheStormlord-tx2it "normie". Cringe. Touch grass
@@LordsUther ok normie
@@naughtycultmemes784 damn guys I just wanted to point out that the story kind of didn't make sense, no need to turn on one another, especially in defense of activision blizzard
Story is nonsensical cookie cutter bullshit as it is now it had potential multiple times to be great and ended up always being either the boring route or the nonsense route.
Would you recommand do collect all the lilith statues after the main quest or before?
After for sure. Priority should be campaign so you can unlock the higher tiers and additional content. Wandering around to statues after finishing campaign and tier 2 capstone dungeon means you can do it at the next tier, and get better drops and experience while doing the content that requires traversing the map anyway.
@@mikemarkovich69 THANKS! I am lv47 now and i am kinda tired now of hunting all the Lilith Statues, kinda kills the mood to play lol.
Power through the campaign. I made the mistake of doing nearly everything in the first area before moving on to act 2. Left the peaks at 38...
"is it worth playing?" since this video is sponsored by activision the answer has to be "yes"
when he said he thought he should try capstone while having trouble with T19 I was like OH BOY YOU'RE IN FOR A TREAT hahahaha.
Hundreds lol . Thats literally nothing in these games . Try thousands
It seems most Blizzard players only like one or the other franchise, so I'm happy to see someone who enjoys both
How do you find WoW as a new player in this day and age? Have you played other MMOs? I'm sort of on the fence for it myself
After the campaign, it becomes unsatisfying to play the game, like there is no interesting objective to do like Raids in WoW, M+, ranked pvp..., BG....the game feels really empty
Are we getting a Black Desert Online in 2023 after they dropped a new expansion?
Still doing great work out here Peon! Thank you
what kind of audio issues? video becoming unsync with audio? most likely a geforce experience problem.
"This video is sponsored by Blizzard" - The moment I clicked off
Same lol when I heard the opening monologue I suspected they payed for this then when I heard those words it was a straight nope.
Peon gave a really fair review with criticisms. But you had stick through to the end or just fast forward to “pro’s & cons”.
@@dixieflatline1189 It's not a review if the creator paid you to review it. Stop trying to frame it in any other way.
@@Mromson Correct this is a paid advertisement disguised as a review.
He has been paid to review other games, where he has stated he’s free to review how he wants. If you actually watched the video, or even just checked pros and cons you’d see he was critical. But hey, if you wanna disregard it that’s up to you
This game asks for too much. Full price, season pass, and Microtransactions ... It's overwhelmingly monetized.
Story sure, post story, not rly. Same copy-pasted few dungeons with same few types of enemies everywhere.
That "old guy" you escorted is the ferryman from the earlier diablo games :)
map discovery will be implemented in season 1 and will be uncovered indefinitely also you will get the renown for it and the alters unlocking the first 2 renown rewards if you have the map uncovered and all alters found. also the devs are working on making the gems not take up inventory but instead be stored as more of a currency
"soon" they said maybe season 2 thats like 4 months
Why does it need to be coming soon? Are they even playing their own game? Gems were already ass in Diablo 3 for 10 years, taking up 5+ inventory slots, and having to pick them up individually instead of auto pickup. "They're listening" = release the game with minor annoyance, fix post release for free PR. Lmao
@@sner3567 heres your tinfoil hat +90.
ew this is the most dogshit arpg ever.... play the better ones
"extensive skill tree" that's when I knew he had no clue what he was talking about. There's TWO options per skill... Even D3 had 5 options per skill...
Cons: lack of building characters, theorycrafting and everything else that is staple to ARPGs. They literally outdeved themselves out of the genre they popularized. lol
Because the current Devs, are garbage
