Super cropping tomatoes. Super cropping is a technique often used in cannabis cultivation, but it can also be applied to tomatoes and other crops. to increase yields and improve plant health. Here are some steps and tips for super cropping tomatoes: Timing: Start super cropping when your tomato plants are in the vegetative stage and have developed a few sets of leaves. Select the Branch: Choose a branch that is flexible and not too woody. This will make it easier to bend without breaking. Pinch and Bend: Gently pinch the branch between your thumb and forefinger until you feel the inner tissues soften. Then, carefully bend the branch at a 90-degree angle. The goal is to create a “knuckle” where the branch bends, which will heal and become stronger over time. Support: Use stakes or ties to support the bent branches if necessary. This will help prevent them from breaking under the weight of the fruit. Monitor and Care: Keep an eye on the super cropped branches. Ensure they are healing properly and continue to provide adequate water and nutrients. Benefits: Super cropping can help increase light penetration and airflow within the plant, leading to better growth and higher yields.
Hey Bubba, ended up with a 440 lbs off the 450 Clementz x the 1872 Hoornstra FYI it was orange with stripes (both Male and female) both plants preformed great in full sun. No crazy gardening just grown. Stay well
There's a wild sunflower popped up there if that's what you're looking at Jack wanted to pull it out. I told him no the roots are intertwined. Leave it alone.
THE ROOT RHIZOME IS KEY TO QUALITY SOILS. TRY A COVER CROP THIS YEAR...COVERCROP MIX AS SOON AS PLANTS OUT. Sometimes a kinked stem or branch is just what is needed for a big energy boost. SHOUT OUT TO OUR UNCLES THAT HAVE PASSED.
By the way, I’m currently at 42 lbs off the 974 RuthRuff x 1377 Laginess, averaging 4 lbs a day. Hoping it will pick up soon but I’m running out of time.⌛️
@@crimpz well I don't have a serious issue with blight, but I put down straw remove the lower branches. Do not let soil splash on the plant. Try to rotate tomatoes every year. Plus, use lots of beneficial micronutrients and microbes.
Such a beauty!!
That's the best shaped one I think I've ever grown well. Maybe when I grew my three pounders back when they were state records.
Well done mate im in
I can mail tomato seeds to you for a global stamp, which I think is $1.30 something like that
Wow awesome job Bubba! Almost beat Trombley but I trust you will get him eventually!
Next year I will grow more than two plants. Tom grew nine plants. I must increase my odds.
Ain't nothing but hound dog..cracking all the time😅

how do you deal with blight?

PEROXIDE 1/2 CUP PER GALLON AS A FOLIAR SPRAY. THEN REPEAT EVERY WEEK WITH 1/4 CUP PER GALLON..IF IT GET BAD STAY AT 1/2 CUP
I'm surprised the birds haven't pecked it
@@MM-wd4hq covered with a towel all the time so the birds can't see it. It's for sunshade purposes.
