When you do meth, sometimes you get cottonmouthed and get bad breath (very similar to how it is when you smoke weed), except with meth, well, the end results are usually having a pretty shitty set of teeth. Im cutting back on my meth use just as they did, because i dont like having that geek breath xD oh and you guys probably dont know this because you guys dont smoke ice, but "geek" is a slang word for high when you get high on ice. "geeking" is a term we use when someone gets all OCD about something and they get stuck on it, example "Charlie, youve been geeking on that sketch for an hour. Take a break man, youve been drawing that thing for three hours!" xD just wanted to give my two cents, im a huge fan of green day and a little known fact is that a lot of their earlier songs are about meth. the song they did when billy quit helped me get through quitting (though i have since relapsed xD) dunno, just thought i would tell yall about the underlying theme to the song ;) #iLoveGreenDayForLife

This is the first song I ever remember listening to. I was 5 years old and I stole my brother's C.D. copy of 'Insomniac' and played this song on repeat. I've never looked back and I've been a music obsessive ever since!
IMO, Insomniac was when Green Day peaked. Such a fucking good album that's unfortunately overlooked by Dookie.

Agreed. I came up with 1,039 and Kerplunk. I still have the originals on CD and records. So glad I grew up in the Bay Area. They were a local band that played constantly. If it was a weekend there was a good chance Green Day would be playing at the Phoenix Theater or Greek Theater or somewhere else since there’s a million music venues in the bay. This was way before the internet so you had to really stay on top of the local music scene. The Bay Area has produced some seriously good bands/musicians and is the birthplace of metal. Ah the good old days.

I worked as a resident in the clinic that was filmed at in San Francisco...I was there early that morning and saw them setting up to film something, and asked them what was going on. They said filming a green day video (this was spring '95). Billy Joe, Adrienne and their baby stopped in to check things out. No one in our clinic really had any idea who they were, except me..lol. They left through the front door and walked off into the neighborhood. I knew the guy real well who took out the tooth...he really had no idea who Green Day was. The patient was a friend of theirs, needed an extraction, so they decided to film it.......

Their older stuff is so much better, good to see a 'new fan' going back to their roots :) I've grown up with Green Day since I was a baby as my older brothers' listened to them as well. I'm now 22 and can say Green Day have always and will always (despite their newer stuff not really being my fav) be my favourite band. I F*CKING LOVE GREEN DAY!! :D

I’m a new fan and started with there older 90s stuff. I definitely prefer it as it feels a little heavier and more punk, however I do like some of there 2000s stuff which really says something bc I do NOT like 2000s music, but they have an old school sound. Like American idiot is very good, but I prefer the sound of there older stuff. Still a cool band though, so glad I took the time to listen.
They were a local band back in my day. Seen them probably 25 times or more a small local venues and never paid more than $10 to get in. I couldn’t imagine paying $150+ to see them now. Kerplunk is and always will be my personal favorite. It got me more into the Bay Area punk/metal scene. Time flies by way too fast.

How people booed this and hated insomniac album when it came out baffles me. Its almost as good as Dookie. All 90s Green Day is pure gold.

Green Day has been my favorite band and all I listen to until recently. I listened to blink 182 a lot recently but there songs just bring depression and stuff. But Green Day just gets you always pumped and it just amazing!

It bothers me when people say this, or that it's metal or grunge, it's called skate punk. Their pop punk songs tend to be their more popular songs so those are the songs at the surface level, making people think that it's a pop punk band, and even worse people think that pop punk is the only genre of punk, making people think that any other sub genre of punk is grunge or metal. Sorry.

Edit: it's a year later and they never filled it, and now it's so bad I might need a root canal. I also have to get 10 fillings fixed because they did a bad job and the fillings are leaking, AND I have to get 6 unfilled cavities filled.
