And of course, you can see some hints that they've become loaded with money (like the golden fist in the car and their suits) and they just don't seem to care. They became a 'walking contradiction': A popular Punk band. No one thought it was possible and many people were outraged because Punk became mainstream and because of that, many people turned their backs to Green Day. But as awesome as they may be, they lasted to this date, remaining a walking contradiction. :)

It doesn't matter how old you are, when I first discovered Green Day, I was around 9. I'm not a native English speaker so I didn't even understand the lyrics, but I fell in love with the music, so I made it my mission to learn English. Green Day are also the ones who got me interested in politics. They pretty much got me through high school and some very bad times in my life. Their songs are great for creating memories too, for example, I have a cool story that involves vodka, 16 year old me singing "Walking Contradiction" and jumping off a small roof (long story, but one of my favorites). The point is, they taught me how to be myself and not care about the opinions of others and I sincerely hope that they can do the same for you, because life is all about being who you are.
