Hi, Mathieu Stern, thank you very much for your experience and evaluation, it is an honor to see ASTRHORI products in your video, looking forward to more wonderful videos to meet us The AstrHori Team
I did something like this when I was a lad way back in the 1980s. I took a telescope tube and taped to one end my 50mm standard lens, and my camera body to the other. The f-number was appalling but when held to a 60W bulb one letter of the markings pretty much filled the screen. Thanks for the memory!
It tickles the brain in a special way to see familiar things in a novel and unfamiliar way. Since it is both a new experience and a familiar experience at the same time. And when you are seeing something for the first time, the "first impression", your brain always takes in way more information about what you are seeing, than looking at it the second time. I mean it is basically similar to seeing yourself in a funhouse mirror (or those crazy new face apps), people universally tend to enjoy that and play around with it at least the first time.
Heh. What a fun sort of lens to have 2 of to choose from now. I'm surprised there was profit in developing 1 much less two brands each making one. Very nice.
It looks like high-end results to me and the price is amazing. I loved the car driving on the smoke! Very well done Mat and thanks for this advice, it's so good to know that there's finally a brand making an affordable probe lens. My dream would be a brand building an affordable super slow-mo camera!😻
Thanks for sharing. Great lens for those "from inside closeup" type of shots. The SlyPro is very nice, but the price! Yikes! I noticed a few dust spots on the left of the images. Were those particles on the lens or on the sensor?
J'ai un peu du mal à trouver en cherchant, et les liens que vous donnez sont américains, mais est ce qu'il est disponible en france ? (En passant merci pour vos vidéos je suis fan !)
Canon has some weird stuff, but not in the consumer ranges. I once encountered a Canon 3D lens on an SLR, to capture objects from two angles at the same time (it was used for registering face shape in that application). Never saw something like that in a catalogue.
it's more affordable thant double that amount ? right ? the Probe lens is $1600 , so yes $739 is more affordable than $1600. Now if you don't want to pay half the price, there is many macro lenses that will get some close results for cheaper, but non will have the same look.
Now I can give colonoscopies at home!
Hahahhahahahahhahahahahahhaahhaa 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 pain is inevitable
I will be there in 6 hours.
I mean they already sell proper home colonoscopy kit online. However if you want colonoscopy with a side of pleasure then I highly recommend this lens
do you take HSA, asking for a friend.

Why are we fascinated with making big things look miniature and tiny things look big? :) Cool video and a neat lens!
Good question!

700 bucks aint exactly inexpensive in this household my fine man

looks super fun, can't wait to drive it though the stomach of all my robot sculptures. Thanks.
So cool! I hope they make a 90 degree version of it.
never seen smoke machine like this soo cool !
The image looks softer than laowa.. what’s ur view ?
Is price the only difference? I side by side comparison would be great;) Good video mate
the f stop the Lowa is a f/14 and this is a f/13 also te focal lenght the laowa is 24mm this is 28mm
I like that the laowa is a wider full frame lens
Wow, even dust becomes a problem at this amount of zoom. I wonder where you find these miniatures? trees, humans, etc.?
Hobby shops that sell Warhammer and DnD stuff.
c’est vraiment magnifique! j’aime bien ton travaille!!!
Merci
That's really cool stuff! :)
seems like you were having a lot of fun :)

Amazing stuff, good work
Glad you enjoy it!
Wow, can i use for ring shot
Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Would be really good for watch videos and photography!
really nice video Is that lense E mount ?
Yes ! Check the description
laowa seems to be sharper no ?
Can these lenses focus to infinity?
My second favourite long black thing
Rocketlab’s Electron rocket?
Nice video! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Aaaand... You need a sensor clean, my friend! 😂
Is there an EF Mount?
yes,
hello working in a6400?
yes but it will be a 50mm lens
@@MathieuStern Thanks bro!!
That lens looks awesome and I wanna get one but they don't make it for Canon EF :(
Yes they do.
@@brettalexander.studio i couldn't find one for EF
@@benitomarquez3274 it's in the video description
@@brettalexander.studio I swear it was listed as EF-M a few days ago
@@benitomarquez3274 it's possible? I wonder if anyone else can confirm the EF mount?
got me interested but in China , a used Laowa probe can be around 900 usd, that might be more appealing to me
Major win for the frugal fam?
No f mount 😔
No F or mft mount.. damn.
The 18mm version of this lens has mft mount
@@kudobeats Thanks man! I found it. To bad it is not shipped to The Netherlands.
I kept trying to clean my screen during the parts with lighter colors and realized the two dark spots must have been on your lens.
on the sensor, because it was at F22
Hold on, is that twisty red lines in the eye on 6:28 a normal thing? I'm not a doctor but looks like possibly some parasites to me???
It’s called veins!
veins usually don't take consecutive S shapes
I wonder why big companies like Sony or Canon make this sort of lenses by themselves

5:55 i should call her
Your slider is not as smooth as you think it is...
the length of the lens makes any footage wobble, any slider would be like this.
We're gonna have a discussion about how $739 is affordable, right?
