To everyone commenting about Latios and Latias being sibilings! I forgot about that! Latios and Latias actually live in herds. Also, it's Gender Unknown, not Genderless. So I think what it actually is is that legendaries such as the Lati just can't breed in captivity. This is even shown by, well, the subjects of the video who are put in as Gender Unknown, yet are implied to be male and female and even get it on in front of an 11 year old and create Nebby 2.0
@@kittyyoutuber9 i think lunala looks like a bat to look like the moon and solagleos main looks like the sun i think thats why they look like they should be diff creatures
Rotom is NOT A LEGENDARY!!! 1. It doesn't have the stats. 2. There's no evidence stating it to be a Legendary. 3. It doesn't have any signature moves. -3 is actually more of a personal reason, since MOST Legendaries end up having one or two signature moves.-
mew mewtwo the legendary birds legendary dogs regis rotom creselia lake trio and phione dont have signature moves and they r legendaries plus there's also the fact u can have only 1 rotom unless through breeding
I think "breed" and "breeding" might not be the best way to describe the creation of a Cosmog. Cosmog's Dex entry states "It slowly grows as it collects dust from the atmosphere" meaning it has some sort of force similar to gravity. Obviously being tied for the lightest pokemon, it's mass could not create any quantifiable gravitational field, and is not depicted as having any control over gravity. What if Solgaleo and Lunala are able to release their energies towards eachother, creating a laminar vortex of sorts, that continues to collect matter until it reaches critical density. At this point, you have conditions that could potentially create a star, or a black hole. Either the turbulence and gravitational force causes knots and it detonates, creating a star; or the core's gravity becomes so intense that it collapses into itself creating a black hole. Lunala's dex entry does state that it sucks in all the light around it, much like a black hole does, and Solgaleo is obviously modeled after the sun, or more realistically, a star. Sounds more like the way a legendary pokemon would be created, eh? The 'gender' part of a Cosmog/Cosmoem could simply be identified by the rotation of the vortex sustaining it's growth. A male Cosmog would have a rotational speed and angle more capable of attracting hydrogen atoms, while a female cosmog is more likely to absorb gases/dust that is not hydrogen. Food for thought.
Well it has been stated that with Latios and Latias, there are more of them in hiding. The Latios and Latias from the MOVIE may have been brother and sister, but that's not the whole case for the species itself
Its true! I have done research, and it turns out it is said that Lunala is the female evo and Solgaleo is the male evo, and if you watch the animation closely, it shows that they roar, and Cosmog appears!
So why don't they have genders in the game. Their breeding behaviors have been observed! Here's what it states for Nebby's page on Pokemon fandom, "It is the child of the older solgaleo and lunala"

HybridHero does anything happen if you bring your mascot and someone else's mascot to the place you get cosmog? As an example for me it would be my Lunala and someone else's Solgaleo from their Pokémon sun that they got from the main story.
HybridHero well if you think of it if I had a male cosmog in moon then it would evolve into a Sirgaleo witch would be awesome but... its not sopposed to happen... and say if i had a female cosmog in sun therefore based on info in your vid it would evolve into a Lunala, still awesome.. but not soposed to happen. Gamefreak intened that when you get your cosmog id evolve do to witch game you have not the other way around..
HybridHero I was thinking about this at the end of the video, and there's a few points that don't add up. 1. All information within the Pokedex of a region already has its set information stored inside its coding, as given by the region's professor. When you encounter a Pokémon, you are given its name. Catch it, and it's stored data is shown. If this is the case, then, wouldn't that mean Kukui knew of the genders for Solgaleo and Lunala? After all, he created those entries. Plus (as shown in the anime), RotomDex collects information that has been given. If no information on the matter is given, what can it record? 2. If humanity truly didn't know their gender, then the entry (created by humans) would make no logical sense, as such information is supposedly 'unknown'. Just something that occurred to me, not saying I'm right, but still.
Talking about how certain Pokemon can't breed despite having genders and counter parts and how some Pokemon don't have genders at all, but all of that is just bits of the Games and not actually representations of the in game universe. Of course Nidoking and Queen can breed in universe, same with Latias and Latios. All legendaries/mythicals have Genders as well which we can see in anime with certain legendaries clearly being represented as a specific gender, and thus they would be able to breed. The only reason they don't have genders and can't breed in the Games is because being able to breed an army of World ending Pokemon would be broken.
Legendaries CLEARLY having genders? Are you sure it isn’t usually just a male and or female voice actor? If I had a feminine voice would that make me a woman? And while there is a baby lugia and it’s parent, do we KNOW that the parent conceived the child or is just adopted another lugia that arceus created from nothingness While I actually agree with you, my personal belief is legendaries CAN breed they just don’t do it often and that us mortals just haven’t been able to research enough to figure out what gender a specific lugia is one of my pet peeves is when people jump to conclusions like that. plus I will have to disagree on the fact that ALL legendaries have genders some (mew duo, golems, deoxys, lake guardians, creation trio) definitely don’t. deoxys was created from a virus for crying out loud unless the laser gave it a gender... lol yeah right
well that's obviously why they didn't do it in game. plus there might be a reason for that. supposedly pokemon don't create eggs while people are looking. (note I didn't say lay but that is another theory entirely) what if legendaries give live birth but also make sure it's in private. which means without a human there to claim it the child is immediately "wild" (cinnabar journals may confirm this) also hence it's a VERY uncommon phenomenon. sorry I took so long to respond I tried to stay off youtube as all the USUM spoilers were coming in.
Actually, for a while, you couldn't breed a Pokemon with similar IVs to eachother. That changed later on, but at least half of the generations that had breeding had that rule.
Lemey Nameless Actually, incest is bad in all species. When two creatures with similar enough genetics (siblings, for example) breed, the offspring have horrible problems. Sorry, but I thought you should know.
I believe their breeding is linked to planets, Solageo is the sun and the sun is thought to be a masculine symbol through human history while the moon, Lunala, is a feminine symbol. Cosmog is called the "Nebula Pokemon" in the pokedex and Nebulas make stars and planets. When Lunala and Solageo are together they are able to create a small Nebula with their space-linked powers which turns into a Cosmog.
Just so you know nidoking and nedoqueen cannot breed because they are based on rino's and rino's have trouble breeding in captivity even genetic mutation cannot make them breed but in the wild but not in daycare which is the way to breed and get the baby.
What if they intend to introduce legendary breeding in future Pokémon titles, and this is their way of testing the waters? All they need to do is make their breeding rates very low, which would make them harder to breed compared to the others but not impossible to obtain through the use of that method.
I do believe that legendary pokemon have genders. At least some of them. (Arceus, to me, would still be genderless since its like God and I think “God” should not have an especific gender). And the genders would not necessarily be tied to its species. Like, for example, In the Genesect movie there was a female Mewtwo that didn’t know Ash. To me that means that there are at least 2 Mewtwos in the universe and one (of the first movie) is male and the other (of the genesect movie) is female. That can be applied to various legendary pokemon that exists more than one, like Cellebi (that was female in the Explorers Mystery Dungeons games) or Lugia (that was a “mother” of a “baby lugia” in the anime). ALSO we cannot discard the idea that some of the genderless pokemon, regardless if it is legendary or not, can be hermaphrodites like worms, slugs and many kind of plants in real life.
Yeah I'm sure all the so called gender less pokemon do I fact have genders, it's just that researchers in the pokemon world haven't been able to properly study a ton of them! A lot of them being legendaties prefer to stay away from human contact, shoot, our player characters are the only ones who have been able to capture these things. However some like Tapu's Lele and Diancie are extremely obvious that their female, unless it's another male Gardevoir or Lopunny situation.
If I remember correctly... there was a mistake in the localisation. In Japan the pokèmons without male/female symbol aren't "genderless". That simply means that their gender is unknown to nowadays humans.
*+DMD00* Mean while, some Legendarys make occasional appearances in certain battle facility's like the battle Maison and the Battle Tree. . . . . am sorry, HOW are we supposed to be the special ones again?! .....I'll bet the ONLY reason some of the more broken ones don't even appear on those places is simply because of the restriction caps. . I can see it now... Youngster Joey sends out Primal Groudon. . . . . .
So either the dex is full of lies. Or the Dex is telling the truth since they can breed and conceive a cosmog. I'm really tired of this pokedex(s) either telling the truth or lying.
Genderless was a mistake of localisation. In Japan if a pokèmon has no gender symbols, that doesn't mean that it is genderless, it means that its gender is just unknown for nowadays people.
I really like the theory!! Thanks so much for making this video!! I would also point out here that Solgaleo and Lunala are the first legendaries to be able to evolve from another pokemon. Therefore it would make perfect sense that they are also the first legendaries to be able to breed. If anything it was quite messed up that Manaphy could give birth to a Phione even though Phione doesn't evolve into Manaphy. If your theory is correct, things would actually be more consistent for Solgaleo and Lunala!
Sorry for getting back to you so late on this comment adburltv! Especially since you're a very loyal viewer :) It's my pleasure, and I'm glad you liked it! Yeah you're right with that! It would make sense for them to breed because of that as well. Nice connection!
HybridHero You left a "heart" quite soon after I commented, so it's all good. That's more than I get from most pokétubers, who don't even read my comments!!
this they did say in the movie that the latis had parents before so ofcourse there are more of them that are not siblings that were just the two ones in the movie that was
Kiba dragon wrong lol neither of them are dragons and that two cosmog must be doing the breeding process so yeah also a cosmog is a first of a family branch so it won't be weird
In the movie Latios and Latias are siblings, but there are far more than only one of each. i.e. breeding between them wouldn't be incest by default. With regards to why Legendaries and other pokemon can't breed, at least for the ones that seem like they should be able to, it's likely because the conditions for them breeding can't be replicated in a pokémon daycare. The nido family is based off of rhinos, and they have trouble breeding in captivity, so it's likely that nidorina and nidoqueen can't bear children for the same reasons.
for us humans a brother can't have a kid with his sister, but for animals they don't care(not animals like a dog or a cat, they can't because of us humans),so I think the legendary pokemon can breed(Latios and Latias) because for both they don't think the are siblings because humans created that,so sto saying that they can't because, they can,it's not incest because they are not tamed or even created by humans(like eevee and many others)
Fun fact: Genderless means that the gender hasn't been figured out. Most legendaries are genderless because they are so rare. To figure out a legendary's gender, you have to either study their natural behavior and see if they use their genders or take them to scientists and they can figure it out. Due to the rarity of legendaries only the genders of the latieses (latiases and latioses), heatrans, cresselias, tornaduses, thundurus, landoruses, kubfus, and urshifus have been figured out. The mating behaviors of solgaleos and lunalas have been observed by people. That means that shouldn't they have genders?
Hey Hybrid, I really love all of you theories, and I've had some of my own theories that I've had for a while now, and I would be honored if you were to build on then and make some videos on them. So here they are: 1.Necrozma fired the laser that made Deoxys into Deoxys. 2.Mars is Silver's sister, and Ariana is both of their moms' 3. In the Pokémon Direct, Masuda said that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, "offer an alternate story taking place in the world of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon". Most people interpret that as an alternate chain of events, like in Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum. However, if you look closer, it says that they take place in the world of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Now I think that that means that they're happening at the same time, *and in the same universe* as Sun and Moon, meaning that while one character fights Ultra Solgaleo and meets Kahili, the other travels with Lily and watches Nebby evolve. I have put a lot of thought into these theories so please make some videos on them and help get the word out. Thank-you.
While I can't promise anything, I can assure you the first one you mentioned has made the script of a video that is about Deoxys a while back :) I appreciate the support and all the information. If I end up making videos specifically on any of these theories I will be sure to credit you. Thanks for everything!
NO WAY!!! Believe it or not, it depends on their egg group. For more info, please check either the sun and moon official strategy guide or a pokemon database
For Nidoking and Nidoqueen theres a reason for why they can't breed they are based on rhinoceros and the female of the species can't breed under captivity because of a lack of pheromone. There are better explanation for what a said look it up am no good at explaining thing... By the way sorry for my english am a french speaker so if you can point out my mystake it would help me.
I'm really glad that you noticed the Dex entries. You could also back your theory with the fact that Lunala ends with an a witch can represent femininity and vice versa with Solgaleo which ends in an o.
This is good information! I also have both Solgaleo and Lunala cards! Lunala GX with 250 HP and Solgaleo with I believe 170 HP. ( correct me if I'm wrong ).
I think that the act of breeding for them is a solar eclipse . one of cosmogs entries says something about how it's born on a eclipse which would make sense that's how they breed
Actually....this is true they do have genders... Solgaleo = lion Lunala = bat (I think) Solgaleo has a mane that only MALE lions have And of Lunala and Solgaleo can summon Cosmog...that proves Lunala is a female BUT NINTENDO SAID “THEY CAN’T HAVE GENDERS BECAUSE WE CAN’T HAVE ONE PERSON HAVE SO MANY OF THESE BOX LEGENDARIES” Yet I have 3 Lunala’s 2 Necrozma’s and 4 solgaleo’s
No, Gamefreak forgot to give them genders so that's why we should beg them (and their pre-evolutions to). Cosmog and Cosmoem - Some are males and some are females (male will evolve into solgaleos and females will evolve into lunalas) Solgaleo - Male Lunala - Female
I once read a book with an alien species with five genders but not all five were necessarily required to reproduce but all would somehow affect reproduction in one way or another. it was a PG book so it didn’t explain in detail but could necrozma be a third gender then?
well in the games they say lunala is supposly female and solgaleo male and they did create another cosmog in that alt world scene so they can breed just not in the daycare
I wish every couterpart legendary or mythical couter part shpuld have a baby that evolves into one under VERRY hard, tedious prossess to evolve into one. Or an entirely new one for an incentive

I'm really tired of this pokedex(s) either telling the truth or lying.
Lunala and solgaleo: *SCREAMS*
cosmog:i have been born
Me:so yall just scream to make a baby?

Latios and Latias are siblings....
Golisotrap 75 lol
No, there are multiple sets of Latias and Latios (Laties) and they are not all siblings.
Genderless was a mistake of localisation.
In Japan if a pokèmon has no gender symbols, that doesn't mean that it is genderless, it means that its gender is just unknown for nowadays people.
but... Solgaleo and Lunala are the same character (Nebby/Cosmog) sooo... You're breeding nebby with nebby...
but then later in the game *SPOILER ALERT*
YOU CAN GET ANOTHER COSMOG! :D
Would that be masturbation on Nebby's part?
There are animals IRL that is unable to breed when in captive.
Legendary are probably like that as well...
Watch the kinda Cut Scene between Lunala and Solgaleo through the portal To obtain COSMOG
I loved the vid, it was a great theory which is probably true because you had excellent evidence to support your point!
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
This is the first youtube that actually mentioned disliking... You're honest.
Hahaha, thank you :)
4:00 i know what happend hehehe
I wanna know something solgaleo and lunala are not brothers?
Thanks again for your amazing support!!! :D
HybridHero You left a "heart" quite soon after I commented, so it's all good. That's more than I get from most pokétubers, who don't even read my comments!!
Loved it.U should talk about the new games ultra sun and moon
in the anime, a sogaleo and a lunala appeared over the alter of the sun, and nebby was born.
Solgaleo & Lunala aren't the only Legendaries that evolve.
Silvaly evolves, and it's a Legendary.
Jero Valentin *Facepalm*
Maira Urena
I have no idea what you meant with that...
Maira Urena "Silvally (Japanese: シルヴァディ Silvady) is a Normal-type *Legendary* Pokémon introduced in Generation VII."
-bulbapedia
And then kubfu comes along
For my birthday last year I got Pokémon moon and then Pokémon moon/sun ultra released I wish I waited for longer to get the ultra version😿
Larios in Ladiosa siblings that would be weird
They can't breed but they can CREATE an offspring
Perhaps, Solgaleo and Lunala are only attracted to each other through some weird otherworldly mechanism. Weird shit tho, never even thought about it.
EYY! YOUR BACK MAN! Hope to see more consistent videos ;)
Yeah I intend on it Mike! Glad that you're still around! :)
they're the dragon twin brother and sister that wierd if they could
They were only siblings in that one movie. There are other Latias and Latios that exist.
this they did say in the movie that the latis had parents before so ofcourse there are more of them that are not siblings that were just the two ones in the movie that was
Obviously they are all related, like Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny
Kiba dragon wrong lol neither of them are dragons and that two cosmog must be doing the breeding process so yeah also a cosmog is a first of a family branch so it won't be weird
They're not twins, Latios is older, if you're talking about the movie ones.
Baby Cosmogs everywhere? That's gonna be a problem for Lillie, she'll be putting them in bags all day
In the movie Latios and Latias are siblings, but there are far more than only one of each. i.e. breeding between them wouldn't be incest by default.
If You Want Zavok Turns Into Lady Zavok Because Lunala Is Female
for us humans a brother can't have a kid with his sister, but for animals they don't care(not animals like a dog or a cat, they can't because of us humans),so I think the legendary pokemon can breed(Latios and Latias) because for both they don't think the are siblings because humans created that,so sto saying that they can't because, they can,it's not incest because they are not tamed or even created by humans(like eevee and many others)
Truueee
What SOLGALEO ♂️ &LUNALA ♀️
Fun fact: Genderless means that the gender hasn't been figured out. Most legendaries are genderless because they are so rare. To figure out a legendary's gender, you have to either study their natural behavior and see if they use their genders or take them to scientists and they can figure it out. Due to the rarity of legendaries only the genders of the latieses (latiases and latioses), heatrans, cresselias, tornaduses, thundurus, landoruses, kubfus, and urshifus have been figured out. The mating behaviors of solgaleos and lunalas have been observed by people. That means that shouldn't they have genders?
Latios and latias are siblings
Im New To The Channel And I Love Pokemon your channel is awesome subbed
Thank you Redlight! Hope you enjoy all the future videos!
Thank-you.
I forget which Pokémon webs I saw it on, but it was that when both legends roar at each other, it creates cosmog
Dude! Latios & Latias are *BROTHER AND SISTER!* You're sick, dude. 😜
THERE ARE MULTIPLE SETS OF LATIAS AND LATIOS!!!
We literally saw a censored version in the Alola Game when Solgaleo and Lunala made the second Cosmog you can obtain
Great video, funny, facts and commentary, what else can u ask for (;
Amazing how ahead you were, the anime showed how it happens
I'm really glad that you noticed the Dex entries. You could also back your theory with the fact that Lunala ends with an a witch can represent femininity and vice versa with Solgaleo which ends in an o.
I am now headless because my head exploded
This is good information! I also have both Solgaleo and Lunala cards! Lunala GX with 250 HP and Solgaleo with I believe 170 HP. ( correct me if I'm wrong ).
Solgaleo and Lunala finally got it on in the anime full-frontal, so there's your evidence.
I think you mixed up the pokedex entries. You showed Lunala for the sun entry. That dosent make sense to me
Why would you think Latias and latios could breed
There siblings
Noticed dawn wings and dusk mane necrozma in the background.
What they are saying:please notice me.
I looked on the Solgaleo Prism card caption and it says that Solgaleo is the male evolution of Cosmoem.
Since Solgaleo and Lunala incinerate fan rules on what counts as legendary does this mean Phione can finally be called a legendary?
I think that the act of breeding for them is a solar eclipse . one of cosmogs entries says something about how it's born on a eclipse which would make sense that's how they breed
I was dying when he said the legends don't have reproductive organs XD
?! = Trash Bait
TLDW: It's a theory involving lore that has nothing to do with gameplay.
Yeah Why Zavok As Shiny Lunala Because Lunala Is Female
0:46 I remember it was mentioned that Latios or Latias are twins, or something that involves them being related , correct me if I'm wrong.
Solgeleos tail looks a half cut avocado and lunala legs looks like there ripped of so she dont have leg
I think it's not working this way because in Pokemon Moon Lillie calls Nabby "mister".
Solgaleo has blue eyes and lunala has pink eyes so it’s confirmed
what still annoys me to this day is that legendaries can't be bred even if your using a ditto
Uh... aren’t Latias and Latios SIBLINGS?! 😳
There are multiple sets of Latias and Latios!
Actually....this is true they do have genders...
Solgaleo = lion
Lunala = bat (I think)
Solgaleo has a mane that only MALE lions have
And of Lunala and Solgaleo can summon Cosmog...that proves Lunala is a female
BUT NINTENDO SAID “THEY CAN’T HAVE GENDERS BECAUSE WE CAN’T HAVE ONE PERSON HAVE SO MANY OF THESE BOX LEGENDARIES”
Yet I have 3 Lunala’s 2 Necrozma’s and 4 solgaleo’s
No, Gamefreak forgot to give them genders so that's why we should beg them (and their pre-evolutions to).
Cosmog and Cosmoem - Some are males and some are females (male will evolve into solgaleos and females will evolve into lunalas)
Solgaleo - Male
Lunala - Female
You wanted latios and latias to breed, they are siblings
BO YA TAKE THAT GAME FREAK!!!! wait how many ppl ship lunala and solgaleo I DOOOOO!!!!!
I once read a book with an alien species with five genders but not all five were necessarily required to reproduce but all would somehow affect reproduction in one way or another. it was a PG book so it didn’t explain in detail but could necrozma be a third gender then?
The intro be like:
REEEEEEE
*dubstep*
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
*dubstep*
*kewl dude starts talking*
this theory about their genders because bulbapedia explains everything
well in the games they say lunala is supposly female and solgaleo male and they did create another cosmog in that alt world scene so they can breed just not in the daycare
I wish every couterpart legendary or mythical couter part shpuld have a baby that evolves into one under VERRY hard, tedious prossess to evolve into one. Or an entirely new one for an incentive
before this a minecraft ad showed up with new updates and it said theres gonna be a graphic pack and i just watched in shock saying im getting it...
latias and latios are brother ans sister maybe that's why
There are more Latias and Latios then just those 2.
4:34 4:38
When your two pokemon OTPS are in one video
But if you think about it if they could breed they wouldn’t be special anymore
This makes sense because, in many cultures, the sun is representative of men and the moon, of women.
WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING THAT LATIAS AND LATIOS ARE SIBLINGS WHEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE OF THEM KNOWN AS THE SPECIES LATIES (latiases and latioses)!!!
They are probably referring to the ones that live in Altomare (and the Altomare latios is dead)
Hmmm, yep, i don't think Lunala has any kind of organs :/
That one episode in the anime where there's a baby Lugia...
Can you do this with the regular form and the ultra form?
The question is how do people get the shiny versions?
You,re a genius
LATIAS AND LATIOS CAN BREED BUT THE PEOPLE IN THE DAYCARE DON'T KNOW HOW TO BREED THEM
