I’d love to see every time they mention that they live in New York and it’s not so great. Like Jake making a map of the crimes in the city, the bodegas robberies, finding Amy’s veil covered in urine, etc.
'So, whats the plan son? Well dad..' its funny how he got embarrassed for calling holt dad by accident and now calls him dad with no hesitation. It shows just how much the relationship has evolved throughout the show
This show is so good at going from “goofy running gag” to “we are being heartfelt and sincere”. I know a lot of sitcoms aim for that but B99 really does stick the landing better than most.
And the relationships are really great as jake has a special relationship with each and everyone in the 99 which is really hard to get right boyle is the best friend amy is the love interest holt is the dad and jake and rosa pair is my absolute favorite
Jake going from embarrassed to completely embracing that he sees Holt as a father figure. Meanwhile Holt always saw Jake as a son. Or at least, wanted to make him a better person.
@@stansman5461 it may not have been a slur but he was still using it in a derogatory manner, it’s like when someone says “women” to make fun of women. Yes it’s factually correct, but the intent was entirely different.
I'm rewatching the whole series and because Jake has grown so much I forgot that Jake was a genuine man child that struggled to make the right decisions most of the time. And they kind of dropped him being an exceptional detective only being held back my his immaturity. After all his character development it didn't actually make him a better detective, just a better person.
That's largely because Jake's immaturity is actually a key component to WHY he's a brilliant detective. He thinks outside the box and indulges in wily and sometimes immature antics that require a great deal of imagination. His character development is essentially not so much that he stops being immature but rather that he learns when and when not to be immature.
I definitely believe that both Jake and Andy got emotional by what Captain Dad said. By the way... The chemistry between Andre and Andy is enviable! This will be sorely missed! NINE-NINE!!!
At 2:22 when jake says it’s his tear trigger holt looks just as broken up as he did at that moment, you can tell just how much they truly care for each other.
Holt just knew how mentor the character of Jake and make him a better person and Jake brought out the best of Holt as well. It was a great ark the whole series. They both played characters and had great chemistry together. It sucks that we lost such a great actor!
The scene of Jake punching the guy who called Holt a homo is so awesome because it's in the first season in the first couple of episodes where Jake still doesn't really like Holt much. I love it because even if Jake doesn't like his captain much he still respects Holt and hates that someone else would disrespect him. It's a 10/10 Peralta moment
Every moment of this vid was amazing but the last scene was in a whole another level. Kudos to anyone responsible for that, perfect writing, perfect acting, perfect timing. Jake & Daptain are in my top 5 TV relationships ever & I miss them everyday, it was great to see this & relive these moments. Tysm!
What I love most about these clips and especially this one is the chemistry everyone has with one another. They truly bring out the best in one another and I really like that especially with character development for characters in many other shows as well!
This show had me in my feelings more than a couple of times. I remember watching Jake's son lift himself up in bed, the amount of pride and joy I saw in Jake's face was amazing - I replayed those few seconds so many times. Andy did such a perfect job of looking like a proud dad, that scene actually touched me deeply. And of course the last one between Holt and Jake. That was so beautifully made, and so damn wholesome. Legendary status on this show.
I always loved their relationship. It was always fun and heartwarming watching them share a moment together, at least for me. Captain Dad and Jake were always a blast.
2:00 My sister pointed this out to me... but that was probably not the word he used to insult Holt... and when she said that my mind just went "ooooh...yeah..."
Honestly sometimes I feel awful because of my country. I live in place where racism , homophobia and sexism is the norm .sometimes I feel sick just listening to those people (because they are my friends or family and they can just start being awful out of nowhere)and that moment where Jake punches that guy for calling Holt a h*mo speaks volumes to me . I wish I was as brave as him
Captain Holt reminds me of one of SNCOs when I was in the Marine Corps. When he told me he was proud of me there wasn’t anything in this world I wouldn’t do for him. Till Valhalla miss you everyday
Read something a bit ago that said how holt saying that if he had a son that turned out like jake he'd be very proud of him is sweeter because it means that holt see's jake is the best mold for a son
I honestly can't believe one random clip of this show on youtube opened a door to one of the best show i ever watched. I didn't even know B99 exist until season 6 end and it's good thing too because season 4 and 5 are like the most depressing season (jake and rosa went to jail) and season 7 was about to start.
@@MarkCalloway no. It was captain dozerman. The thumbnail has bill hader on it so out of curiousity i clicked it, then i recognize andy samberg so i started to search what show is that.
I honestly was kind of disappointed that the fact that when Kevin talked about how he didn't like the 99 because they were cops qnd Holt wqs treated so poorly for years it never came up that Jake punched his childhood hero when he insulted Holt as a 'homo' Jake is immature and can be annoying as hell but he's neither racist nor homophobic The whole station genuinely respects Holt and loves him
I know this is about Jake and Holt. But that look that Jake and Amy give each other in the last scene is so heart warming. Beautiful compilation video!
God, it’s amazing how real these characters felt, and that final scene with Holt and Jake actually made me cry, we got to see how their relationship developed only for them to have a complete understanding of each other despite being absolute opposites

I'd like to suggest you to stop making me cry. Okay thanks, bye.
I'd love to see a compilation of the most badass moments of the 99, please! Love your videos!
@@u.s.s.chucklefucker1657 😂😂😂
Rosa and holttt compilations!
Holt saying "if I had had a son, and he turned out like you I would be very proud of him." Still makes me cry.
saw this cold turkey scrolling while paused, almost made me burst into tears.
RIP Captain Dad
'So, whats the plan son? Well dad..' its funny how he got embarrassed for calling holt dad by accident and now calls him dad with no hesitation. It shows just how much the relationship has evolved throughout the show
And it was so casual too
This show is so good at going from “goofy running gag” to “we are being heartfelt and sincere”. I know a lot of sitcoms aim for that but B99 really does stick the landing better than most.
The other show I know that does this comes from Michael Schur again, The Good Place
Mash
The only show that comes close to scrubs imo.
true🙏
And the relationships are really great as jake has a special relationship with each and everyone in the 99 which is really hard to get right boyle is the best friend amy is the love interest holt is the dad and jake and rosa pair is my absolute favorite
the scene where holt said he was proud of jake had me bawling for 10 minutes straight
Same I'm crying right now 😅😭
Right?
I love how Holt figured out even before Amy that Jake's love language is pranks.
" if i had a son, and it turned out like you, i would be very proud of them "
*Jake wasn't the only one who started sobbing for sure*
The "meep morp... zeep" is such a wholesome callback.
i love how Holt blatantly posed for the selfie even after stating that he'd deny it
he knew Jake wouldn't take no for an answer
One of the best father son duos on screen, period.
Also Will and Uncle Phil
Vote for Philip Banks!
Barry Allen and Joe West from The Flash
Donald Duck with Huey, Dewey and Louie from Ducktales 2017
Funny that they kissed
Jake going from embarrassed to completely embracing that he sees Holt as a father figure. Meanwhile Holt always saw Jake as a son. Or at least, wanted to make him a better person.
someone give jake a hug. he just lost his dad.
rip andre braugher
The way i ugly cried my eyes out with that last scene with Holt and Jake, "i think you finally figured it out" really hits the feels i-
"I want you both to be my dads"
That's adorable
"I really wish you hadnt just said that"
"What? Homo?"
*Thump*
How this should go every time.
I don't know...
One of the times I'd have to disagree with the decision of Jake. It was still assault and the guy didn't even use a slur.
@@stansman5461 it may not have been a slur but he was still using it in a derogatory manner, it’s like when someone says “women” to make fun of women. Yes it’s factually correct, but the intent was entirely different.
@@stansman5461 but he was still being homophobic tho…
@@senorbongo4975 but you won't exactly say it's okay to hit someone for it, would you? Nor should it be promoted as a positive thing.
@@eemmee3411 True. Just don't think this was more of a chance for Holt to talk about anger control rather than being happy at Jake's actions.
4:14 the way they just called each other 'son' and 'dad' 😅🥺🥺
And that last scene..Holt loves him so much 😭😭❤️❤️🥺🥺
Not as much as you Amy

the smile at the end between two actors who have obviously become friends is so heartwarming
0:40 I love the secret, but immense, respect Holt holds Boyle in. Love this show so much
This season 8 ending is just… perfect. I don’t think I was ever that invested and cared so much about a relationship in a show.
I feel Andy was crying too not just Jake
I definitely believe that both Jake and Andy got emotional by what Captain Dad said. By the way... The chemistry between Andre and Andy is enviable! This will be sorely missed! NINE-NINE!!!
Andy was leaving a show he spent 8 years on.... that's really hard.

"I know who my dad is. It's you! Hi Amy." Lol 😂😂😂
RIP Andre Braugher 😢
Oh captain, my captain
I love Kevin chiming in on Jake’s daddy issues over the phone.
3:15 Wow... There was foreshadowing here. When Holt left, Jake left too, and they only came back to the 99 for Heists.
Jak punching out the cop in holts honor is one of my favorite momments
Holt just knew how mentor the character of Jake and make him a better person and Jake brought out the best of Holt as well. It was a great ark the whole series. They both played characters and had great chemistry together. It sucks that we lost such a great actor!
This ending was all I could have ever asked for.
Rosa’s mocking “Babysitting! Neh-heh!!!!” are the best. 😁

peralta is lucky to have the best dads
My favorite will always be when Jake thought Kevin and Holt would divorce " Are you and daddy Kevin get divorce 🥺....its fine i can take it"

“Well, dad…”
I love how this was so natural between them.
That last one hits........after 8 seasons of incredible writing
Meep morp zeep joke probably the longest time of a callback in history
This show had one of the best finales in television
Jake decking that dude after he called Holt a Homo was a great scene
Rest in peace Captain Holt
⚠ SEASON 8 SPOILER ⚠
3:16 omg Holt, Amy, and Jake all left the 99th precinct, but will always return for the Halloween heist 🥺💛

the way kevin says "raymond" when jake confess about the daddy issues lmaoo

6:45 Can we take a moment to apreciate how gorgeous Melissa Fumero is?
I'm always going to see Captain Holt as Jake's real dad
this is my favorite Brooklyn Nine-Nine compilation ever 🥺💛
Feel free to suggest any others you’d like to see :)
1:23 the fact that Holt, of all people, isn't wearing the strap is a disgrace on the part of the writers
Captain Holt reminds me of one of SNCOs when I was in the Marine Corps. When he told me he was proud of me there wasn’t anything in this world I wouldn’t do for him. Till Valhalla miss you everyday
Now I want to watch the scene where Jake finds out that Holt's middle name is Jacob and he can pretend to be named after him or something.
The dam has broken on me after the last scene😭😭I refused to believe the series is over
Show your father some respect!😂
Read something a bit ago that said how holt saying that if he had a son that turned out like jake he'd be very proud of him is sweeter because it means that holt see's jake is the best mold for a son
That final scene makes me cry, this show was just so beautiful, and I'm so glad is a part of my life
This show is my solace, when things are bad and I need to just feel better ,I go to this show,it's the right amount of everything to help me
During the whole show at least half the time I was laughing just at Jake's expressions 🤣

Son.
Holy takes being a captain, as in a father to his men and women very seriously.
The ending scene lowkey had me in my feels. Dad was sick half my life (7years old-13) & passes so I really didn’t have that father figure
“Must’ve been a hard decision”
Holts lying, he knew it wasn’t a hard choice for Jake
final scene made me tear up
I lost count how many times I rewatched this show. I guess it's time to watch it one more time. People obsess about friends, I obsess about this show.
its not babysitting if its your kid, captain holt, its parenting
RIP Andre B
Captain Holt is like a father figure to the pristict
Captain Holt may be Jake’s Boss but to Jake, he is more of a father than his real father aka Roger was to him.
THE ENDING AAAAAAA
