I was watching the original will and grace show and Ron is in a thanksgiving episode where Karen was given permission to be with other men by Stan and was upset about it then going to Will’s parents house and Ron was the handyman and they did it in the kitchen
I think that people don’t talk enough about how Ron was abused and traumatized by every one of the Tammys possibly even including his Mother. After all why would he have such poor choice in Tammys if he didn’t have a poor model. Even the toughest most self sufficient guy on the show struggled with mental health. Remember this if you feel weak in the face of struggles. Even the best of us can struggle men and women.
I've had my share of Tammys. They made me crazy. And one of them is my mother.

I feel like the fact that his mother even allowed his relationship with Tammy 1 says a lot. I imagine any good parent would have shut that down and gotten Tammy in jail FAST.

As much as I loved the interactions between Ron and Tammy 2, I loved Diane for Ron because Ron deserved to have a normal woman in his life. He was traumatized by his mom, Tammy, Tammy 1 and then Tammy 2. To see him happily married again, with three children was actually great. And it was a plus that Diane could deal with his quirks and baggage.
...also Xena, Warrior Princess does nothing.
2:14 i love how Ron's first instinct upon sensing Tammy 2 is to hide Diane's kids from her. That shows a good paternal instinct Ron is developing that he'll stand before Tammy 2 to keep her from those girls.
I wish they used the scene where Tammy 2 gets scared and run away when Tammy 1 was mentioned
it genuinely hurts my soul how Ron reacts to tammy #1. that man was groomed since he was a child, traumatized, and every time he goes into that "mode," it's clear he's age-regressing as a defense mechanism... :(((

Watching Nick Offerman and Megan Mullaly together is amazing. The fact that they're married in real life but can play people who are totally wrong for each other is comedic brilliance. Also, the snapping fingers when he's accepting his award made me laugh hysterically.
I’m actually kind of sad that I never realized that Ron was groomed :( not to mention abused sexually.

Every time I get to the scene where Tammy, um..."gets friendly" with her dinner roll at Ron's expense, i always end up in stitches. It never gets old!
I think it’s funny that they used his actual real life wife to play one of the “Tammys” on the show. You can tell they had some real life chemistry and I think it made their on scene interactions more authentic and real in the rawest form.
His lifestyle and the interactions with all of the Tammys is a classic example of what Feud calls “Oepial Complex”. From an psychological perspective, his relationship with his mother which was traumatic had made him more vulnerable to women of the same name due to their personality and their association to his mother and so all of them are fighting to keep their control over him. Very interesting perspective.
