here is my 1 year later review of the rossi tuffy turkey through both testing it at the bco range with pattern tests with all brands of chokes/loads and from testing it afield hunting with it!
this gun is one impressive design and id argue to say it is hands down the best single shot 410 on the market.... EASILY!

I agree with you about the Rossi .410. I have one for my grandsons to shoot. Their ages now are 8 and 6. Both love shooting it and the 8 year old killed his first gobbler with it this Spring at 30 yards. Clean kill. We are using it with the factory full turkey choke and Burgess Creek TSS 9.5 shot for turkey hunting. The sight is just a cheep TruGlo red dot. For them to practice we are shooting Federal skeet #8's. I killed my 1st gobbler this year with my 20ga. smoothbore flintlock, (the 10th gobbler I killed with that gun). After seeing what the .410 did on my grandsons bird, I used it to take my second gobbler here in PA this year. Very impressive to say the least. I watched all your videos on your field tests with the Rossi and thank you for them. Because of the adjustible stock and light weight, this Rossi .410 makes a great turkey gun for kids and old men alike. Keep these videos coming.
Burgess creek makes some killer loads for sure!!
I love hearing this man makes my day!
Love my Steven’s 301 BCO got me all hooked up with the pattern series.
You bet! Bring that stevens over Wel put some chokes/loads through it and see what it likes best in your eyes
I have had one for over two years, no ejection issues. Cool video. Just wanted to see other people’s opinions. Wish .410 shells wasn’t so expensive now
The price phases me none its worth it every time
Trust me I know all about the cost with how much we pattern on the channel 🤣
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAoh, trust me. I know. Gun is so damn fun. Hunting almost skipped a generation in my family. My dad grew up hunting to eat but made a good life for himself and moved to the city, which is where I grew up. Never hunted growing up. Shot some shotguns, pistols, bows and crossbows, but never got to hunt. Turned 18 moved out to the country and got real into guns and hunting, this one was my first ever gun. A couple years later, I have 6 guns and still choose to take the old .410 out more often than any of the others. Even with that ammo scarcity and price it’s just so damn fun and you don’t “need” ear pro which is nice for a shotgun
Yessir!
I have a Rossi tuffy turkey 410. I highly recommend it.
Hard to beat it!
are you using the factory chokes?
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
@jwellen85 we have yessir
I WAS a Stevens guy.... until my little guy wanted to go to the range with me. We tried the Stevens it was an absolute flop for a 5 year old. The Stevens was way to long and heavy, so I scooped a Rossi. I run the factory choke with Viper 9s and it's easily a 40 yard 🦃 🔨. I would never 🔥 that far but it's good to know. Removing the spacer to shorten the length of pull is simple. I can't say enough about how good it is. I agree with you Jake. The Rossi furtin is unbelievable. It's my favorite furtin too! Remember children

You got that right! It’s hard to beat I’m unsure if it can be honestly
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA To be honest my go to is the Rossi 20 then the Rossi furtin is second. If you remember my previous comments I bashed Rossi all together. The 20 is an absolute shoulder cannon BUT it's so light and maneuverable. My bro popped a turkey at 30 this year with 1 hand on the 20 and it wasn't an issue. If you RaG like most of us do if you can't get 🦃 off the roost. Rossi can't be touched!
It is hard to beat for sure! Good odds I’ll bring the 20 Rossi afield next year! Trying to punch a tag with every setup at least once!
Dropped a bird in Ohio and ky with my Rossi 410. I’m with u I love that gun. 👍🏻👍🏻
It is insane for sure!
Thanks for sharing buddy! Looks like a nice little gun! Good luck with everything my friend!
It is a blast for sure! Wish y’all could hunt with em your way !
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA me too!!
One year watching all the pattern tests with that gun has went bye fast nice gun n setup
Yes it does!
Nice. Thanks for update
You bet got a bunch coming!
Nice little gun jake if you want a single shot but I had enough of them growing up great for youth or women or men that want a light weight set up be way lighter than my ol 1187 that I have toted all over the country but it might grow on me if I put my hands on one
That’s what happened to me! I hunted and tested the stevens 301 hard then once I started with this Rossi it won me over and I can honestly say my 3rd bird this year if I had any other gun I would have been busted trying to aim this design being so light saved my butt
Great video. I have a 301 Stevens i wish they had a stock like that.
I have one thumbhole stevens 301 I bought for my girlfriend she’s never even shot it, I’m bout to just start testing with it 🤣
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA How does it feel? I will look into the stock. I brought it for when my Granddaughters when they get ready to hunt .
I love it!
Sold me on this gun and earned a sub good work!
Thanks man check out the playlist on all its testing here

Great review.
Thanks man it’s a killer firearm!
I'm thinking hard about getting this gun for my 7 year old. I'm worried about recoil, with it being to light. I don't want him to develope a flinch.
It won’t be an issue with the 410 version that I can assure you
Nice 410
Yes it is! Have you seen the pattern tests with it!
Nice gun. I carried my 410's during turkey season. Did u ever get your mossberg SA 410ga to pattern good? I haven't carry mine alot. I always grab the little 500 410ga TSS turkey gun. I was going to order a sa 28ga turkey gun. But i bought a new wicked ridge raider 400 decocker package xbow. I am calling and order a Mossberg SA 28ga turkey gun Thursday. I used to use pse and Horton crossbows for yrs. The prices on new xbows bolts and broadheads wow. Locally tenpoint 400 match bolts non light up knocks. 12.00 each. Lighted knocks 25.00 dollars each. Or a pack of 3 72.00. I have a bunch of older mechanical heads. But i want to shoot a fixed blade broadhead this yr. We have so many hogs around. I am going with tooth of arrow 100 gr 1 inch v series.
I still have to replace my sa410 trigger assembly which I’m doing all that this week so I can get it back to the bco range
Just fyi, the v series is on the brittle side. I shoot the 125gr XL s series now. Bulletproof. Good luck!
What did you use to smooth out the barrel
The video is on the channel of how I did it but I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless absolutely needed as mine looked as if they never did a finish pass on the bore
Great vids…..after all this time and testing for the Rossi 410 what did you find to be the best combination for choke tube and ammunition for best pattern at distance?
Which did you like best with it?
Did you think about trying the Cva Scott?
Be a pretty penny since not only do I have to figure the gun cost but buying every choke again for that thread
Personally if im paying that money for a 410 im buying a semi auto I think that scout is overpriced for what it is that’s just my mindset on it
Two questions. How’d you smooth out the barrel and what choke and ammo do you shoot?
The video is on the channel !
Also it’s not about what I shoot it’s about what you like out of our tests
Love that you call it fir ten!…LOL 👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
It just sounds better to me! It will always be the ol ferten’ 🤣🤣
Add the maximum # of the longest, heaviest, .410 shells in the stock, and then weigh it.
Why? That’s irrelevant information to most individuals as the heaviest payload may not be what they shoot in it nor may they even choose to use the shell holders also for something wondering what’d it weigh is pretty simple just multiply the weight of said shell by 8 and add it
What kind of hone did you use? Im a motorhead so I was thinking wheel cylinder hone on a long extension.
Video is on the channel but as I said in the video I don’t recommend doing it unless absolutely needed as mine never had a finish pass it was rough cut so I fixed it
Hi, I have the Rossi also to use for small game, it's excellent, except for 1 thing.
I am having a problem taking the fore stock off. Can you do a video where you show how.
I've taken off the stocks to remove the barrel on other single shot, but cannot get this one apart is there a trick??? 😮
I’ve never tried to take it off but I’m assuming it would have a way to disassemble it I’ll have to try it out
Great let me know most single shots separate after you take off the front grip. Let me know please😉
@catherineslowincomepreppin2128 I will check it out these afternoon!
It came with factory scope rail screw holes? and chocks?
Mine did yessir
I got the rossi tuffy turkey .410 for my children and it came with 2 choke tubes, the adjustable stock, and the pic rail all included.
Did you hone it out with a drill and a hone?
The video of how I did it is on the channel and like I’ve said a million times…
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING IT UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED
You can do more harm than good you just never know
What choke are you using?
It’s in the playlist Rossi tuffy turkey 410
