In 2011 a french exchange Student showed my "Backbone" by Gojira and I can hardly cerish just how much strength your music has given me through all struggles in life since then.
If you can't appreciate this album, go listen to your blast beats and repetitive breakdowns. Gojira is changing, and has done something I, as an individual, have never heard from any other band. Gojira broke the mold again.
Hey listen I'm all for more prog, but some of this album just felt a bit unoriginal.
magma isn't change, is lack of ideas, and even this a really food song, there's a riff that is completely useless, and you know what I'm talking about

Lack of ideas ?! I wonder you would do a technical album or more a melodic/prog one if your mother was dead during the making of that album. Magma is actually more about lyrical stuff than heavy technical music which all the newbies are after.

My fav song in whole album has the best chorus in my opinion
Now I know this song possibly has another meaning, but to me this song, like Vacuity, is about the experience of being alive.
And I find it very powerful. One of my favorite Gojira songs, after L'Enfant Sauvage, Vacuity, and the Shooting Star... coincidentally, all songs that I see in similar ways.
Gojira's environmental songs are also amazing, but to me this theme is much more interesting. Could be my personal biases.
