I swear by Injinji. I had an issue with my feet and after surgery to correct the issue I started wearing toe socks exclusively. I wear them all day every day at work. I think I purchased 5 pairs about 5 years ago and they are still just as good as when I purchased them. Since then I have purchased more for wearing with hiking boots, longer ones to add a bit of compression for air travel, and some mid crew for use with my cycling shoes.
I love the injinji compression socks, but they stopped making them, I swear by them, now I am searching for another compression toe sock.
AWESOME guys, thank you so much... just what I needed and I'm sure plenty of others too!! There are just soooo many socks out there, so much variety including price, and for those of us who spend hours on the trails every day, in whatever style of shoe, the socks make soooo much difference!! MANY THANKS!!!
Xotoes from xosocks are unreal. Very expensive but ive by far the best constructed sock I've ever worn.
The difference in build quality and feel between Injiji and xotoes is night and day. All my injijis have holes and are thin in places. Xotoes feel like new after a year.
They also have little holes in between your toes so they can breathe.
Xotoes are very highly engineered. I spent about 40 minutes chatting with the guy who owns the patent on the yarn for those. They’ll be featured in the next sock video next weekend
Great review guys! I went with Fun Toes for now. Need socks for work while walking fast and twisting hard. I add the video to my favorites for future reference if the Fun Toes don't work for me.
Great comparison. Unfortunately, I don’t want “Creepers” to be shown around my ankle. Worst branding placement ever.
Keep an eye out for the low ankle ones. They should be out in the next couple of months
That's actually why I wanted them lol
ur a creeper bro@@endhimrightly3408
😂 true
yea i hate the branding name
I have been looking at Creepers but agree, the name placement is a real shocker......actually the name is a horror show lol
It's crazy I haven't been able to find any toe socks made with natural materials only.
Yeah what about 100% cotton,, 75% cotton
Same
that is exactly what I need! I can't wear wool. I wear undyed 100% organic cotton socks (from SOSfromTexas) and they are my and my husbnd's favorites. We have lots of other brands, most of them more expensive, but they are not toe socks. Maybe I have to give up on finding the perfect toes socks.
Natural fibers would be absolutely awful for athletics. Might even exacerbate blisters.
@@maroulio2067 Why doesn't wool work for you?
Injinji are really the way to go. The liners come in two different materials. The wool ones last much more and kinda sad my non wool liners disintegrated but at least they all did within the same couple weeks which speaks for how consistent they are made. So stick to the wools ones. Then I’d say the hiking Injinji socks are just amazing. I own a single pair for close to 3 years and the durability is amazing. No signs of wear.
Hello. I'm just about to purchase my first pair of toe socks and I'm hoping you can help me. By hiking sock are you referring to the Injinji Men's Mid-Weight Trail Run Crew Length Toe Socks that are 38% CoolMax? As I can only see ultralight, lightweight and mid-weight on their website I'm assuming they're the sock most suited to cold weather?
@ I’m looking in REIs website. They are called “Trail Midweight Crew Socks”. 58% Nylon, 39% COOLMAX polyester, and 3% Lycra spandex. Hope that helps.
I bought the mid weight wool run socks and they disintegrated in 2 weeks fyi
@ I avoided the wool blend in the end. I'd have preferred the wool blend, however the durability is not there as you found out. I bought the CoolMax socks and they're still fine two months on.
Re: those first ones (Peluva); if they're Coolmax, that's polyester. And the 'eco-sourced' thing later was probably about their use of post-consumer recycled polyester for about 50%.
For me as well, it would be the Creepers; for the Merino, Baby! If I was paying proper attention, none of the others were any part Merino.
Thanks for doing this, guys.
I have the vwell and they felt amazing. Better than the nikes and polo and nikes I had before the barefoot switch. It's sad to see they don't last much to other people. I have to see how much I get out of them. They're more confy than regular cotton polo socks. There's something to this mix that makes them feel great.
The injinji socks you feature are made with nylon. Nylon is far superior to polyester for durability. I don't know why there has been such a shift to polyester in the past decade. Nylon was made for and used by the military over one hundred years ago. It still is strong and comfortable
How about trying injinji lightweight socks? I think they are less compresive.
used your link to buy some creepers but it was the pink one that is 30% off right now so it wouldnt let me use your code. I still put you guys down when it asked how I heard about them.
I got the Creepers recently and by the third wear the top stitching had broken and they are starting to unravel from the top. Not impressed.
You must’ve got a bad pair. If you reached out to Shaun I’m sure he’d take care of you. I’ve had my first pair from before we became affiliates. Well over 400 miles on them and no issues.
Dang that's unfortunate! The two I got are still going strong. They've got a 30 day no hassle return policy, I'd contact them and see what they can do for you!
I had that happen the very first time I put on one of my pairs. It actually doesn't bother me, they're still great socks and it can easily be fixed. I wear mine all the time. Also the blue special edition socks that were just released are the first to be made with a stronger material (which nevertheless feels the same), and that material is coming (or has come by now) to all their socks.
Great review fellas! Based on the 'American Fork' thing at the end there, I might actually see you in our Utah mountains :)
Surprising that the Creepers material info came from their site when you spoke with their one man band though :/
The material is basically my only interest in this department as I prioritize as much cotton in my socks/toesocks as i can get. Call me what you will, but synthetic material is made of trash and i dont want it touching me. Due to this, i dont wear the injinji that i had bought some time ago (turns out coolmax is trash polyester made by the crooks from dupont. talk about a company fucking up a water table, amirite?!) anyway, due to this, i only wear my 85% cotton (or so) toe socks (Meaiguo) as well as regular socks when i absolutely must. The rest of the time i wear nothing, or my xero diy's. I do appreciate your deep dive into this area, which saves me from scouring amazon reviews because i would like to check out some more cotton heavy toe socks. Keep it up! :)
So I don’t know what the other 50% is, I can ask, but the website does say that the socks are certified to be healthy for wearing. I’m assuming that means the other 50% of the materials are natural. But I’ll ask anyway just to make sure and if you want me to let you know, shoot me another comment
@@sonsofsever oooh please do! i am curious about the natural materials. couldnt hurt to tell them that we'd like a lower cut sock while you are at it haha ;)
@@SundanceHRTATK it’s coming! He has a bunch of new styles and colors in the works. I’ll shoot a message off to him tonight and let you know when I know

Hi
Which one is good for cold winter?
The Mid-weight injinji is a thicker merino wool that would be ok, the Creepers are also merino wool but aren't as thick as the injinji. Neither are what you would consider a "thermal sock" so I wouldn't rely on them for skiing all day, but those are what I'm planning to wear for winter!
No US foot sizes on your chart ?
@@JHC63 we don’t have a chart haha who’s chart?
Do you have an opinion on V-toe socks (ie just the big toe is separated aka ninja socks) ?
Nope! Something we've looked at but just haven't pursued yet.
Hello any idea which brand has the longest toe fit? Most seem tight on me. Thanks
The creepers are pretty stretching the toes. We are working with a new one in the next round from Knitido. The toes seem particularly long on the pair I got
Have you tried the Injinji toe socks & if so where do they rank?
Also do you know if there is an even more breathable material than wool, like some of the other socks having a combination of different materials, or you think 100% wool is still most breathable?
At 10:38 we talk about Injinji. I put them just behind Creepers because the Creepers are softer and feel nicer on your foot.
@@truman3.0 for that I'm not sure! I don't think I've ever had 100% wool socks before
@@sonsofsever must have missed it I’ll re-watch. Just tried the Creepers socks on.. they feel a little restrictive on the middle of the foot, can you recommend a stretcher sock or one that could accommodate a wider/higher foot, Injinji perhaps?
Do the Creepers stretch out much more after wearing for time or not really
@@sonsofsever I thought the Creepers were 100% wool
I think aomagic toe socks maybe good for runner.
We'll reach out and see if we can get some!
Tell creepers to make a no show/ low version and I'll be buying a bunch!
Keep an eye on his website. They’re on the way
Or keep an eye on our channel haha cause we’ll be one of the first to have them 😁
Hi YOURE CODE FOR CREEPERS ISNT WORKING FYI
They changed how it works since this video posted, just using the link to get to the website should auto apply a discount at checkout. Check out our stand alone review of Creepers and use that link if this one doesn't seem to be working.
There is a brand called ToeToe. I wonder how those are.
We'll reach out!
They ship to US but I was hesitant as returns would be a hassle, and you have to get a minimum order of £30
@@maroulio2067 I decided to try them. The cotton ones are good but I prefer wool. The wool are good but rather thin and I don't think they will hold up. They have thicker hiking socks which I do not care for. So I am not recommending them.
I deleted my dumb comment carry on brother man
Hey you're all good! Hopefully you were able to fix whatever was going on!
❤
Honestly now after a year of barefoot shoes, I think it's largely a scam 'IF' your feet have significant damage like your big toe is pointed inward from bad shoes all your life. Most of the bare footwear makers offer vids for hundreds of $$ to give you exercises to repair your feet PLUS the cost of their shoes. Sure, like who doesn't have the time to watch expensive videos and spend hrs a day repairing your feet? On their websites, they always show a 30-something female sitting with her toe splayed out like a chimp. I guess that's the "ideal" we should all shoot for......maybe she has simian DNA.
A lot of socks have arch support now. I am suprised that socks made for barefoot sneakers have arch support. Kind of annoying because the point of barefoot is to get away from arch support products
@@DeePat-gd5so I will say…. It’s pretty weak arch support 😂 I’d be lying if I ever said I noticed it in a sock. I’m sure there are some out there that are super tight. But I don’t think any of the ones we’ve reviewed have reached that level
