One of their best albums just like the rest of their albums
SFTD is miles ahead the best album - in fact one of the best rock album in the last 20 years
zubair it is thier best.
Jamis Billson don’t worry about my comment. Your opinions matter too.
zubair god damn right man. couldnt have said it better myself.
agree 😀 but the other also best, we love qotsa lol
you can "review" this album however you fucking want to. this is still the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world right now
Michael can actually sing so well. He's got such a beautiful tone
He has a really wide vocal range too. Very talented guy
I love Mikey Shoes. His and Josh's voices work really well together, an acoustic version of Villians of Circumstance is maybe the best example. He's really young, 32 - he's gonna have a helluva career. And my God his scream is just like the greatest thing ever - At the end of recent live renditions of Burn The Witch, so feral and it jumps like 4 octaves.
Check out Mini Mansions
Plus he joined the band at 21..nuts huh
@@ConnorFogartyVO... Mini Mansions, baby.
Funny moment at 2:57 where Josh screws up and throws in another verse.
Bound to happen at one of the early renditions of a new song and they solved it really well. I bet many people didn't even notice.
As can be expected of a band like QOTSA.
Do love it when stuff like this happens to great bands - it shows that they're still human and just some guys playing a bit of music together.
I noticed that too. It made it feel more human. I thought it was great especially because they kept their composure. Looking at each other like, this even new to us. And then, together, brought it back in a smooth fucking transition.
That kinda thing is what separates the good and the great musicians on this planet. These guys are great.
Laurens Reumers If this was someone's first time listening to the song then it probably goes unnoticed. Quick recovery. But I also sense they had this issue before.
Kacey Ring you sense it with your ninja skills? Perhaps this is the way they like to play it live. I’ll tell you in a couple of weeks ;)
Laurens Reumers stupid fuckers .. they are professionals and should know better ... what am I buying here ... shit
Villains may be a bit pop-ier but it's infectious as hell. I can't stop listening and tapping my feet. For me it's one of their best albums.
I love Josh's guitar playing, especially the solo's. They're strange & unlike anybody else's, just like Jack White as well. Brilliant Also, I love when bands mess up and unexpected things happen, those are generally the best parts! 😊
Josh's vocals sound identical to the recording. This is seriously impressive.
prob cuz he doesnt do much to his vocals other than double or tripple tracking. doubt they use autotune ever. not really their sound
Josh's platinum tooth keeps moving.
Moving?
MarlowWhere like King Johns mole In RH Men in Tights?
christopher smith precisely
Simon Dunkan he had a platinum tooth on the lower right side...that I'm guessing he got it replaced with a bridge or cap that looks more realistic. Now he has another tooth capped...probably a result of smoking most of his life.
It's so disturbing
This album might not be for everyone, but for me all the songs I've heard are fantastic. Too many musicians completely 180 from what got them big (Black Keys "Turn Blue" I'm lookin at you) in an attempt to explore something new. Everything sounds like QOTSA, just a little different and in some ways a little new. It's them, but it's not the exact same. Great stuff.
I agree with you, beople have been saying something similar to this since "Lullabies" came out.
I absolutely hated Turn Blue, you are correct sir
Daniel Drader Both great, Dead Weather and Death from Above 1979 too
Death From Above. They dropped the 1979.
Erline Andrews Good move
That voice, holy shit man, transcendent
This voice gets better with age, it's amazing
Josh looks super high stone immaculate and this f****** version of the song is this I can't get enough of it
What a great group of musicians
The sound quality of everything is pristine
I dont think people really understand just how FUCKING incredible this not only band is, but EVERYTHING THAT IS JOSH HOMME!!!!!!!! 💙 💙 💙
Best band on the planet.
Loving this "footloose and fancy free" new album. Josh's voice is also particularly silky right now.
Just noticed the two Bigfoot on Josh's shirt. Amazing.
The question is where can I get that plaid shirt? Take my money please!
awesome album, that song is awesome, acoustic got even better, amazing performance 👏
Amazing live accoustic song. I have listened to several if the albums and the live versions are studio like quality. And cant wait to see them live in October
This entire album is fire. Can't wait for the next.
This has such a Doors vibe love it
QOTSA in acoustic are still amazing. Just incredible
Breathtaking!
My favourite noises from this album is the synth parts. The oddness of the album is digg-able in my books.
❤❤❤❤❤ my son told me earlier this year, "Mom, I feel like there's going to be a lot of great music coming out this year...". Annnnnnd here it is.
Really a great album. Musics, Lyrics, everything are perfect !
Finally a Jon Theodore song I can play on the drums
Josh starts looking casual as fq, which is also probably how the tone of the song calls for on that intro. All he was missing was a lit cigarette in one hand and a glass 🥃 of bourbon in the other, on the rocks. 😁🤙🤟
This is an awesome performance. They sound great
Natural progression of great songwriters, this album is fucking fantastic .....
Amazing version of one of the best cuts off Villains.
This is such a powerful song!
That geeetaaaar is lovely! First two songs wake me up every morning now!
One of the best bands ever
Keep creating Josh, always. I love everything you do 🖤
"(We wanna help you rule the world) I think not" - LOVE IT!!!
Live is awesome!
At first this was one of my least favorites on the album but the more I listen to it the more I fall in love with it
One of the last great geniuses left in music
This album is so good
Gold.
qotsa have never made a bad album
Era Vulgaris was a little disappointing; I'll only listen to about five songs from it.
@@JackVermicelli Wasn't bad but it was their weakest album for sure
Never mind a bad song love them all jus so versatile
@Adiran Grey he’s not trippin and that’s the problem
Lullabies to Paralyze, its nah
My god! This is really perfect!! True masterpiece!!!
I swear to god every time Josh opens his mouth he sounds better and better
Brilliant song
this is in running for my fav song...I can't believe video...thank you thank you thank you!!!
Man that sticks in my head like peanut butter on the brain
Josh is fucking blasted
H.J.W omg..for sure. Sounds good for being so toasted or pickled or both.
"feeling high and tired" Crucifire
Joshes slide licks are insane
That freaking shirt. Is so cool!
Heavenly.
I love this album, like all the others.. they are always different but still great.
I like them more now than when they started
The best
The guitar Josh has omfg I NEED THATTTTTT IN MY LIFFFFEE
It sounds so otherworldly, I fucking love it
I think Josh's voice gets better with every album, along with all band members' musicianship. I agree with others that I don't consider this to be their best album to date... but dang I really appreciate the new-but-still-familiar audiophilic journey the band sends me on with each piece of work released.
Their music is a mandatory part of my daily life. One of the handful of severely underrated groups that I feel should be revered with the likes of Zeppelin, Rush, Sabbath, etc... not yet but within the next decade or two once their body of work shows enough consistency, creativity, originality, and sound evolution.
In my opinion, the trajectory has been set and all that remains is the passing of time.
Love this ENTIRE album!! I hope they have a North American tour next year as I haven't had the chance to catch them!! Come to the ATL!!!
One of their more challenging songs. A hard slog indeed
His voice is nice.
i think all that gigging with Iggy has rubbed off on Josh..hes sounding very Jim morrison/iggy here..
Couldn't agree more.
This is one of your best songs josh o homme... And it's coming from an avid fan
I will continue going with them on their voyage....
omg this is so great
Sounds very cool.
this is so awesome!
This version is so smooth
Since hearing this album, and mistaking it for bowie b-sides, I'm thinking this is supposed to be a darkworld version of heroes, or maybe a sequel. These guys really grew on me. When lullabies to paralyze came out, it was top 40's radio rock and i was too cool. It turns out, they were way too cool. God Save Josh Homme.
That was fucking awesome.
best Band .
lol...I love to see great bands screwing up! so interesting how they go in calm musical panic
Josh's shirt is pretty great.
This feels sooo like the Desert Sessions! Anyone agree?
Yeahyeahyeah, I was thinking how this sounded like QOTSA but also like - this other collaborative effort between Joshua Homme & Masterful Musician(s) - not Eagles, but that one... And you beat me to it. It's fantastic and raw and powerful and catchy and dark and funny and not perfect. Which is just perfect.
Favorite so far is "Feet Don't Fail Me".... #BeenOnRepeat .... "Life is hard that's why no one survives..." #killer
SO GOOD ❤️
Wow, perfect!!!
Sunglasses in doors, par for the course
Josh fuckin it up. They are stoned as shit. All of them probably.
I think they all called off the search for their souls a long time ago
for real though, everyone wearing black leather, and there's Josh sitting in
a country western style shirt lol
Marthew Stump I love the Bigfoot feature 👌🏼
Still waiting for LP6
Obsessed with this band. Just saw them in Asheville. Josh does seem kinda high, but his vocals are impeccable, as always.
Josh's Bigfoot shirt ftw! Seen this half a dozen times, only just noticed it now haha
wicked
Josh got a shirt with frickin Sasquach how awsome
Ouhhhhh nice
Very classy recovery at 3:00 👍🏻
Omg, how can you sound that good when you're f---d up?
Keri M he’s wasted! Haha
Some people are high functioning.
I’ve never seen any footage of Josh Homme where someone in the comments hasn’t claimed he’s fucked up on drugs. That’s just the way he looks.
This is very interesting, btw just came from their aggressive live version of this on youtube.
Dean Fertita lives on fucking point, pure excellence.
That Gretsch man. Urgh.
I love that rancher
2:58 LMAO that was pretty smooth to be honest
there are 2 bands worth fuck all in rock music nowdays. this is 1 of them. WORD
BBC please upload the full session!
are there more? are there more? are there more? are there more?
I think this song is about how we should all appreciate our pets more and that they have real feelings too and that whether it's dogs or cats or bunnies or goldfish or ants that we should love them and let them eat at the same table. If you didn't know, josh makes his children eat on the floor while his dogs and rabbits eat at the same table as him because he is the provider and one day when his children bury the pets that fed at his table they will be able to choose the next pet that eats at the table and that also the pets are the ones that chose their own gravestone writings and josh sang a song and the mouse that eat the left over crumbs of the children's feast sing the harmonies.
I agree, how profound, you should write about pets more
I also agree
Nice recovery
Josh looks so high towards the start
I see that man almost looks sad to me and I'm not trying to say nothing like negative or anything it's just almost like he has been crying or something
fucking amazing
Esse album é do KCT! mto bom!
Only Josh can get mistaken on the lyrics (at 02:56) and play it cool so no one can notice :)
No ones hearing the iggy influence? Im enjoying it
I fuckin love it!
I love josh homme and queens since I was 16 and I'm 32...they rock ....did anyone else notice the auto tune near the end of the song ?? Josh homme generally bashes auto tune because he prefers raw sound and he says he appreciates mistakes it's how he sleeps at nite... so I'm wondering why the auto tune ...I hope this was just BBC post editing because I can not get used to hearing my favorite band auto tune like freaking Cher guys sorry ...still love em though haha
There's no autotune. That was his voice cracking, hitting a difficult spot in his range. They don't use autotune.
I'm getting a doors/ Morrison vibe, pretty cool
