Ethan, one thing I love about your videos is the respect you show, world is not very good @ that anymore, but you show such respect to these houses & your audience's especially with things like making sure we don't have to see deceased animals, just want you to know it's appreciated! 😊
I think the 30s/40s homes are my favorite. The details and craftsmanship are so lovely, warm, and welcoming! I hope this one won't be demolished and that some great person will come and restore it!
The house I grew up in had those radiators, hot water heat. Same bathroom tiles too, except ours were peach coloured. Built in early 1950’s. I would love to find a house like that now!
Nice old house Ethan! You really should get an older house, if you don't already have a house. I love your appreciation of the older places. It's nice to see the younger generation with appreciation for the finer things in life 😂. It's probably already been answered but yes, that is called grass cloth. Keep up the good work, I appreciate you.
This house looks like someone could move right in!! This whole house was redone. It looks nothing like a 40's house!! I love the colors of the walls that goes perfectly with the wallpaper. Beautiful!!
Thank you so much Ethan. I absolutely love this house. If I had the cash I would finish the restoration, fix the water damage, clean it up real good and live there. This place is wonderful. God bless Ethan. Be safe and stay healthy. 😁🌟🤗
I love this incredible house that deserves to be lovingly restored! Love love love all the vintage touches, the gorgeous fireplaces, the light fixtures, all the beamed ceilings, the bathroom tiles that are still so shiny one could see their reflection. Unique wallpapers and amazed again at the durability of wallpaper. Could this have been one smaller house with a huge edition; that may explain multiple staircases. Love all the wainscoting and the hardwood floors. My imagination again runs wild thinking of what it looked like in its day and the family life that took place there. I wouldn’t do much to the aesthetics of the house, just refinish all the floors, do some painting, maybe updating wiring and plumbing. This house was built to live longer and serve as a backdrop for another family’s story. Thanks for this adventure Ethan. You always seem to find the best homes. Why don’t people understand how much nicer it would be to live in a unique vintage home restored than in a brand new cheaply thrown together mega house that would use too many resources to even heat. Give me the older house any day. Take care Ethan. Be well and stay safe and happy. You’re great at what you do. Your respect for things says much of your character!
It's so sad... I love love love this house; the HUGE ceiling beams, and vintage class; I'd do the minimum to restore this house to what it was -- and put back the original front door; I'd restore the original kitchen cabinetry and try to minimize modern junk in it. Any "updates" (bleh!) of the house would be HIDDEN! I hate it when people "update" old houses with modern GOD SO WHITE!!! crap! Give me beautiful, dark stained wood, gold, bronze, brass fittings, oaken cabinets that ooze quality and age!
Hey Ethan..living room looks really cozy and comfy...cool bathroom ...looks a massive place ,lots a rooms...thanks for showing it Ethan..stay safe well and happy 💋
I definitely remember this mansion. All the different wallpaper (yes thats grass cloth wallpaper I believe)but the green tile bathroom with the horse wallpaper was something I will never forget. I can’t believe it’s been 3 1/2 years Ethan. That time flew by. Are you planning on another 3-4years Ethan? Love this place
I've watched every single video you've posted. I don't remember this one. Must just look different. I like it when you go back to place after awhile to see how places look now. Thanks for sharing 😊
It is a really nice quality home from that era, with a lot of nice features and character. I would have to change some of the colors and brighten it up a bit, and the kitchen would be a total redo, but it does have great potential. ✌️
Thank you for picking up the candles. The movie The Quick and the Dead is a really good movie.I really like these older houses, thank you for taking us along.
This i honestly was a unique house, 🏡 I actually never seen stovetop on a counter like that before , in the kitchen interesting thank you Ethan always for sharing 😊 these house adventures with all us
I’ve been watching your videos for a year and half I think. I didn’t get the chance to watch this when you posted before. Glad I got the chance. Thanks Ethan for your subscribers to get to watch some finds we weren’t able to view from earlier. Hope we can get some more 60’s mid century modern homes in the future if there’s any still standing.❤
for an 1940s home I could not get how huge it was inside I hope that they don't tear it down I they put it on the heritage list thanks Ethan for another video
Thanks for not showing the dead bird.😊 I think the candles were used by the squatters. I really liked the dining room and the living room too.😅 Go home and take some Nyquil. You usually get sick when I do.
Beautiful house! I think I remember the room with the big fireplace! I love all of the wallpaper and the wood beams. Such a shame to tear it down. 🌈🌈👱♀️
Interesting house with some very nice wall paper, light fixtures and wooden beams in the ceiling, that fire place is lovely unfortunately the door next to it would not store wood or any thing to do with the fire place, best left open to display trinkets I do not like vertical strips and I think this one is awful. Oh this is a hunting scene in the UK although such event is no longer practiced. Thanks Ethan another great video.
Everything about this house is so beautiful. The beams threw out this spacious house l really love. This wonderful house could be my dream home if I only could afford it 😅😅❤️🔥❤️🔥
I saw you on the brave podcast thought I would check ya channel out and I'm not disappointed you are so respectful and ya style of recording and opinions on houses is epic I can honestly say I agree with ya view on houses but to be fair I am 45 so I grew up in the 80s n 90s great work brother keep it up Peace ,love and light ✌️
Not sure if you look at comments added from the past, but I wanted you to know...the house from 1962 with you sitting in the retro chair...if you can go back to it, look at the double stove and the pull out the handle underneath. There is an electric stove under them. I have one like it at my house, and, yes, it was top of the line in its day.
Very nice! It's great how respectful you are to things. The bathroom has nice colors! I don't like that people put cigarette ashes in sinks and stuff! I despise cigarette smoking, period! Cool layout of this old home! I just love homes that are unique like these. I couldn't live in one of those cookie-cutter plan type neighborhoods. I imagine myself coming home late one night and going in the wrong house! Lol Nice appliances! I wonder if that's a convection oven? Those are very nice to cook with. Not a fan of the basement. Creepy! Wouldn't be so bad if there was electricity on. I've never lived in a home with a basement. Don't like them at all! The striped wallpaper would give me major anxiety! Now the bathroom is very nicely decorated! Cool home but, I prefer open concept. Great video!
The wall heaters you don't see thoes anymore, the basement stairs are in an odd location, could just imagine coming home after a party and falling down thoes stairs,no railing or barrier, need one of thoes orange cones for safety 😮
I remember when it came out in 1995. It didn't get good reviews. Sharon Stone's performance was panned. She was a co-producer of the film. I didn't see it then or later.
When finding used candles hide or dispose them these are fire hazards somebody else could come in light them set the place up and you don’t want to be seen in these places. do NOT! give the location of any of these explores..

Very good Ethan…74 years old.
Good on you for picking up and placing the votive candle up high on the surface.
It's huge, you can get lost in that house. But, amazingly intriguing.
The house I grew up in had those radiators, hot water heat. Same bathroom tiles too, except ours were peach coloured. Built in early 1950’s. I would love to find a house like that now!
This house is fascinating! With just a few renovations, it could become a stunning masterpiece.

Ethan, please if you don’t have your bright light for these very dark areas, or, basements, skip them! 😮
Thanks Ethan for the video--love those old houses.
Cool house Ethan. Thanks for sharing this really lovely
house with us. Love the kitchen. Stay safe and well.😊👍
Those wooden beams accentuate the room so nicely.

That stair case in the kitchen is dangerous...Take one wrong step and you fall down the stairs! OUCH!!!

Thanks for not showing the dead bird.😊 I think the candles were used by the squatters. I really liked the dining room and the living room too.😅 Go home and take some Nyquil. You usually get sick when I do.

This is a really beautiful home! So sad no one wanted to live there and bring life to it. 😢
Everything about this house is so beautiful. The beams threw out this spacious house l really love. This wonderful house could be my dream home if I only could afford it 😅😅❤️🔥❤️🔥

Nice big living room with the fireplace!
Nice house with good roof. Strange that it remains empty.
It's a shame,that would be perfect as a Foster care home 🏡😊
That movie The Quick and the Dead is really good! I'd suggest you watch it.
Good Work Ethan 😎
U R Right, it is grass cloth...very $$$$
Yes, indeed, I do remember this one vaguely by the outside.
I enjoyed that Ethan. Keep up the good work.
The basement is scary 😟 especially at night.... watch that first step, it's a Lulu 😂
Not sure if you look at comments added from the past, but I wanted you to know...the house from 1962 with you sitting in the retro chair...if you can go back to it, look at the double stove and the pull out the handle underneath. The wall heaters you don't see thoes anymore, the basement stairs are in an odd location, could just imagine coming home after a party and falling down thoes stairs,no railing or barrier, need one of thoes orange cones for safety 😮
Love everything about this house except that kitchen, how awful with the basement RIGHT THERE 😂 odd.
Nice house could definitely be worth saving❤
I love how there's walls of textured
I wouldn't demolish that beautiful house
I really like that house, it's so beautiful
Poor Ethan, you don’t like basements as a rule.
That is a nice chandelier.
Thanks!
I loved this house 🇦🇺
Such a fun house
I love this house so much❤️😊
No bannisters on the stairways, or the basement!
Beautiful home. I would live there.
Ethan catching up good seeing you
Smart presentation Ethan. Had you covered the kitchen?
My condo built in 62 has those exact heaters😅
Great place, does it look as interesting from the outside as it does inside?
You should come to England we have so many old abandoned castles n stuff like this you would love it brother
Hi Ethan that’s a good movie if you like western’s
I remember when it came out in 1995. It didn't get good reviews. Sharon Stone's performance was panned. She was a co-producer of the film. I didn't see it then or later.
Rapping the heater in paper is a safest way to stay extra warm in the winter
Neat house 🥰
Was there a laundry room? And oh my gosh…I hope there was a railing around those basement stairs!
Poor Bird!!! 😢
Very cool 😎🆒 place some of the paint was a little much more stained wood would have been better and to many small rooms in the front of the house
That was a good movie you should watch it
This house is nice not bad Too built in the 1940 but the basement is bad and the hole in the roof
Ethan this was just lovely. Something about it just set well with me. Totally creeped me out.
Have a Beer on Anthony
It is grass cloth.
Quick and the dead
Awesome movie
Eathan the home is 74 yrs old ... the wall paper we dont use it anymore ,now out of style.

They prob used those candles to take out the mildew smell
It looks like there had been a squatter living there.
😅 this house is older than me my two years
Ethan the Quick and the Dead movie was before your time
