Either it's another uncredited and unrelated-to-the-real-world track from Mario Kart Tour like Ninja Hideaway or that ice-cream course from Wave 2, or it's fully original and completely unique to the DLC.

Looks like the best course of the dlc. Loads of new assets in the stage which you don’t really see much in the booster tracks

I like how we keep saying what course is the best in the DLC throughout the DLC💀💀💀
Although getting old courses back is great and all, I find it cooler to race on new ones. The combination of both is fun as seeing how new tech improves old tracks is also nice to see, but in the DLC the balance is a bit off imo. I did not play Tour, so the city tracks are kinda cool but I am not the biggest fan of them, so it is great to see this new Yoshi Island race

You hit the egg cloud and a new pathway pops up just like it did in Yoshi's island on the snes. This track is gonna be fun.

@@autismandgaming4532 We see almost the entire track in the trailer, and it seems to be a basic layout. It is highly likely Los Angeles Laps will be segmented if it also comes in Wave 4, and for non-city tracks Piranha Plant Cove WILL be segmented or at least have different laps.
I don’t think this will be a section nor a multi-path track.
I like how all the worlds from Yoshi's Island are combined together. This was my dream course.

So happy that for the first time in nearly 18 years (the last being Yoshi Falls in MKDS), Yoshi is FINALLY getting a new course in Mario Kart. And it looks awesome. Also adding Birdo to the roster was something that should have been done 9 years ago. Better late than never. Great start to Wave 4.

I've had this dream of an Among Us style course where as the laps go on, a crewmate is ejected, the imposter is caught and finally ejected and a crewmate is a race.
I hope this means they’ll add more characters in the future. I would like to see Petey Piranha, Kamek, or King Bob-omb return/make their first appearance in a console title.
Edit: How could I forget my boy R.O.B. He definitely needs to return.

This gives me so much hope for future waves of the pass. Not only are we getting new, beautiful courses, but we’re also getting returning characters in HD!
They also announced on Nintendo Japan's Website that in Waves 5 and 6 there will be more new Characters from older Mario Kart Games!! :)
I imagine the roster edits to Metal Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach are associated with this! I suspect that Kamek might finally be hitting the big leagues, as well as a long awaited return from Funky Kong, and if the characters have to be retro, only female character who’d fit the weight class of Pink Gold Peach is the Honey Queen!

Characters like Tanooki, Metal, and Gold Mario will become a ‘alt’ for Mario. And characters like Cat and Pink Gold will become ‘alts’ for Peach. They won’t be visible on the Character select screen anymore and much like the coloured versions of the Yoshi’s, Shy Guys, Inklings, Links, and soon Birdo. A drop-down menu will appear when you select either Mario or Peach, and you’ll select them from there. Those ‘removed’ slots will be for the new characters they add.

The Track looks stunning, and its faithful to the original too! It's even better that they included Birdo in this trailer too! Hopefully more characters will be introduced like Diddy and Funky Kong, and Petey! This makes me excited to play this game even more than ever now!!
Edit: All we need to introduce Diddy and Possibly Funky Kong, is a Diddy Kong Racing track to go along with them. I'm placing my bets on Wave 5. I think we could get Petey from Piranha Plant Cove.
Maybe even Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong as well. Make it a full _DKC: Tropical Freeze_ re-union!

Never expected any characters to be added for the second half of the BCP let alone Birdo but she was long overdue and should've been in the initial roster back in the original 2014 release since she was already in the Women Racing ad for the Royal Raceway billboards. Hopefully we get Diddy Funky Pauline and even some of the others who made their debut in Tour added.

No new details of the other tracks aside, this Yoshi’s Island course looks pretty cool! I even like the gimmick of touching the “?” clouds to reveal an alternate route for the track!
Not only that, I was NOT expecting Birdo to be a returning character, let alone, a whole new character added to the game! We thought no characters are going to be added during this dlc, but BOY we were wrong! This actually gives me hope for some characters who are exclusive on Tour, for the time being, return sometime soon for MK8DX!

I've been YEARNING for a track based on an actual mario game for years. This fulfills every wish I had for a track with cool mechanics like the cloud revealing a new path just being the cherry on top.

DS Delfino Square is based on Delfino Plaza from Super Mario Sunshine
3DS DK Jungle is based on level 1 from Donkey Kong Country Returns

DS Airship Fortress based on Arship Fortress level from Super Mario Bros 3
GCN Peach Beach is loosley based on Gelato Beach & Delfino Plaza from Super Mario Sunshine

Cloudtop cruise is based on Super Mario 3 with the music referencing Super Mario Galaxy. Mario Kart Wii’s Rainbow Road is based on Galaxy as well. And not to mention the most of the tracks from Super Mario Kart are based on levels in Super Mario World.

stilt guys! nep-enuts! huffin puffins! those floating cloud things that form bridges when you hit them! so much care went into making this track as faithful to the original yoshi's island as possible and it's incredible. it's everything I could've hoped for from a yoshi's island track.

I'm so exited for Wave 4, I just wish they leaked more tracks from the wave, but I'm so happy to see Birdo, she is an absolute queen, the track looks really long so we might get 1 lap with 3 sections or 1 lap with no sections at all because we never had a track with just 1 lap

If Nintendo is following the Sky-High Sundae pattern (ie., release to tour week later), wave 4 should come out around March 27 in time for the annual Yoshi Tour.

I hope we get more racers. While I would like to see Kamek since he was in the beta of MK64, I want to see Excitebiker and Captain Falcon as racers since tracks from Excitebike and F-Zero are in. Pauline also
Kamek and Pauline are likely because all they have to do is port it from Tour, which is pretty easy apparently if you know what you’re doing according to modders

I was seven when Yoshi's Island first released on the Snes. One of my all time favorite games and I can't tell you how hyped I am to play this track!
Add captain falcon. They already have big blue AND his car as part of the game.
It's so nice to finally see that Yoshi track that was datamined for Tour be shown off! Can't wait for it to come to both Tour AND the Booster Course Pass! We just had Piranha Plant Cove revealed so seeing Yoshi's Island this soon after made it even more hype!
