Enjoyed the video. Interesting you mention the Clash which is my favorite racket (V1 Pro with Tour Bite), but I also have and like the Ezone 98 (the version just before the one you tested). I would say the Ezone is my second favorite racket. Certainly they are different feeling rackets overall, and 100% agree the Ezone 98 requires more skill and is a players racket. For me, there is a hint of Clash feeling in the Ezone, so I thought it was funny you mentioned something remotely similar. Obviously many more pros use the Ezone or Vcore, however I do think it cool that Zarazúa uses the Clash, albeit she is not top 100, but a solid pro nonetheless.
Ahh yeah it’s cool that we felt similar things. When I make these reviews I’m doing it completely off of feel so I could very well be wrong about things! Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks, Les, for a very nice in-depth review. I know the video is almost a year old now, and I'm late to the party, but I wanted to comment on your swingweight observations. Swingweight is highly sensitive to the way the weight is distributed in a racquet, and even in brands like Yonex with traditionally good QC, can vary a surprising amount. I wouldn't be surprised to see 5-10 unit swingweight variability from racquet to racquet for racquets that are 'in spec'. It is quite possible that your VCore sample actually had a higher swingweight than that of the EZone - without measuring each, it is hard to determine the real reason the VCore felt harder to swing. As you continue to review racquets at this level of depth, it may be a good idea to find a way to measure the racquet under test for SW, so you can further correlate your subjective observations back to a metric that is measurable. Thanks again.
I have both (thought it's better than having 2 same rackets). Love both oboviously. The VCore is a definitely more challenging to use and I do it when my game flows very well.. you get solid shots and great precision. It really rewards good technique. Ezone just works...period. So easy to use and never lets me down..this is one of the best rackets one can play with...can't really go wrong with it...only very skilled/advanced players might not get what they look for with it.
you use radical mp or pro. I thought you were using a tf40. Thanks for your videos. Personally I love the ezone, but it lacks plowtrough, it lacks a bit of graphite in the hoop. I would like one at 310 between the tower and the regular.
The radical pro and mp have a thinner frame so they will give more feedback. They are also more balanced which makes the Radical feel heavier but I think the radical is more of a control racket where the vcore and ezone are both for aggressive baseline shots. just my opinion though
I haven’t tried the 95s. If only someone had one to give me 😂 I have a feeling I’d like the 95 more but I don’t play enough to make my sweet spot even smaller lol!
“Excuse my tennis” proceeds to drill every ball perfectly 😂
The ball quality looks better in video than it feels in real life 😅

Your backhand is beautiful. Like Alex Zverev, lefty hand heavy.

the shape of your ball on the Ezone seems way nicer on almost every stroke and serve
Ahh it does feel a bit more comfortable than the vcore!

I use the radical pro now. My previous racket was the technifibre tf40
@@sayles7858 what made you decide to switch?
@@micah2237 honestly not much it’s a similarly balanced racket just heavier and it was inexpensive to buy the 2021 version of the radical pro😝
makes sense, I just bought 3 2021 vcore 95s for a similar reason.@@sayles7858
when you say the shape of my ball .. I can't stop recalling Shape of My Heart by Sting ... nice review, PA98 is the best radical and ezone is next :)
Ahahaha can’t unhear it now 😂
Ezone needs stiffer poundage tension
Nice review. How tall are you?
How would you compare them to a Radical? MP or pro

is there any chance you've been able to try the vcore95? I wonder how it compares to the two 98s

Nice vid!
Thank you!!
yes, its just graphite
It’s all just graphite! 🤣
