Charles is growing on me. His comments are always thoughtful and sincere, and he doesn't mince words. I'm find myself really enjoying his reviews. Also, we always pay a visit to Sanaa. We found it by accident, and fell in love. The food is delicious.
Can we permanently replace Sean with Charles? I'm honestly not sure if I've heard Sean say a single and genuine positive thing about anything in any video, and the negativity always frustrates me. Why even spend the money to do anything on Disney property if there's nothing you enjoy?
LARKXHIN how do you know that? It hasn’t been that long ago since he was in a video. I really don’t like how they handle people not being part of the dis anymore. One day they are just gone forever without a word said by Pete or anyone. Why not just tell what’s going on? That tells me that Pete is very hard to work for. Because why doesn’t he ever mention in any positive kind of way that someone has left? It’s just, poof, gone. If any of these people that just vanish did so for positive reasons, we would hear from Pete about it. The least he could do is wish them well. I don’t know, it’s odd.
Great job guys! Charles is a wonderful addition to the team and he looked very nice as well. Makes me want to fly down from Michigan and have lunch! I love getting a inside look at the restaurants decor as well. Your videos are addictive!
i had to go back and re-watch charles' dessert review because i was distracted by the bird in the background the first time around ! Great review again, guys!
This is mine and my husband's #1 fav restaurant in all of WDW. We've lost count how many times we've eaten there. And the CM's are excellent. I'm glad to hear your positive review.
This is our favorite WDW restuarant. We happened upon it when, as DVC members, we visited Kadani Village after it first opened. Been back several times since. But, keep in mind that you really have to be going there to go there. If you drive from anywhere else, it is literally at the end of the road. Also, if you stay at Kadani Village, this is the only restaurant and they only serve lunch and dinner.
Sanaa was/is one of my favorite dining experiences that doesn't seem to get enough attention in my opinion. Glad to see it get reviewed! Charles offered useful and in-depth insight into the food and experience. Thank you for the review!
Sean and Steve should do a Kids Menu review at restaurants their palettes are completely unrefined/unsophisticated. Such a waste of a meal. Like Sean, why would you think Irish potato soup in an AFRICAN RESTAURANT! Like dude come on!
Always love listening to Pete critique anything but it’s starting to look like restaurant reviews are Charles’ area of expertise. He’s always concise and accurately descriptive with insights that are unique to his style. Mentioning the coffee and the tip about just how to eat that particular dessert to maximize the taste are prime examples. Well done Charles. While I hate to criticize my beloved DIS team, I have to mention that I, for one, am always irritated by men wearing hats in a restaurant. I know it’s Disney where the rules are a bit more relaxed but this is a professional team of restaurant critics. A higher standard for you. Just my opinion. Love this series!
And this is why I'm so grateful to you guys...Your helping take some of the terror out of planning our first DW vacation...can't wait to up grade from DL to DW...these exotic foods is why the Deluxe Dining plan will enable us to continue to have graze but trying something new...again thanks you guys.
That bread platter looked delicious with all those chutneys will be putting this restaurant near the top of my must visit list when I go to Disney World.
Love this review! We are planning to eat dinner at Sanaa during our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the spring of 2018. We have never been to AKL and can't wait!
I love Sanaa and have eaten here a few times. Love the bread service and also the tandoori chicken. Delicious! And I love sitting near the window to see the animals such as the crowned crane peeking in the window at you :)
This easily makes my top 3 favorite meals I had if not favorite meal when my husband and I ate there during our honeymoon for lunch. The staff went above and beyond. Before we seated we had a call from Mickey congratulating us. We also did get free champagne and dessert so that helps. But the food was very good. We did the bread service and I had the lamb, my husband had an African burger. I loved that you were able to see the animals. We didn't have a window seat but could still see out.
Hi Pete and the gang, love all the videos you guys do. Would you be able to do an ‘allergy episode’? I am coeliac so I have to have a gluten free diet but I was only diagnosed 4 years a go and I can still remember what good (gluten) food tastes like! It would be good to hear if a non coeliac likes what is on offer on a disney allergy menu and if you can tell the difference. Hoping to get back to Disney when my daughter is a bit older (she’s almost 3 now) have to start saving, it’s expensive from the U.K.
Really like this new show and I definitely need to get that bread service and Pete’s tandoori chicken next time! Sean is not good on this show, he never likes anything. Like why wouldn’t he just order the burger at Sanaa instead of the chicken dish? It’s annoying hearing him not like any cuisine except American foods.
My bf and I "went out of our way" specifically to eat at Sannaa, absolutely, and glad we did! We spent the morning in AK (rode Flights of Passage for the first time!) then hurried over to catch a bus to Kadani to make our lunch reservation. It was fantastic! We got the full bread service, Potjie combos, cocktails and desserts. Our waitress was wonderful and funny. Sarah, I think was her name. The room was on the quieter side because it was a late lunch rezzie. 1 Dining Credit each. By the end, we were STUFFED. We weren't sitting near a window, so before we left we lingered by the glass to get a view the animals. One of the horned beasts took a huge dump not far from our window and I gotta admit, I was a bit jealous of him at that point. We strolled around the lobby while we waited for our Uber to take us back to our hotel. We had planned to graze around World Showcase for dinner that night, but we were still too full from lunch that we could only partake in the "Wine" part of the Food & Wine Festival which was fine with us!
I've been curious about Sanaa for a while now and was very excited to see your review of it. I once lived in Zambia for a year (which obviously has its own traditional food that is fairly different than most of the food you ate) and was curious to see if I was familiar with any of the foods here. I was intrigued by the presentation on a lot of the food. Some of the meals that I have had before were not dressed up as much as the food there, so it took me by surprise, and I'm now curious about any taste differences. thanks for another awesome review and for giving me something try on my next Disney World trip, whenever that is.
sgtmayhem That's what I gathered. I've had some South African food before and some of the other food is similar to things I've had. Also, the city I lived in had some Indian expats, so I've had my share share of Indian food.
I dined at Sanaa at the same time as an Indian family. Because their entree was taking so long they were served the bread service on the house (I was so jealous), and they said it was very authentic. I’m one of those people who hates going to an ethnic restaurant that’s just an watered down version of those foods, so I was really glad to hear the food was authentic.
This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property. It’s really out of the way and kind of unassuming, but it really blew me away. The bread service is incredible, I love the butter chicken and Durban shrimp and they have an amazing unchurned ice cream (kulfi).
Love this review! My friend and I go to Sanaa every week for lunch and we get the bread service and dessert and we are completely content. I totally agree with the review of the candy bar it is absolutely amazing!
This is definitely one of our go-to places for lunch. Always excellent. Leave Animal Kingdom and have a late lunch here. You can frequently get a same day reservation for lunch.
Favorite restaurant on WDW property. Always get the bread service and the butter chicken. Never seemed as loud as the video portrays. I love this place, and I don't care for most Indian and African spices. Animal Kingdom Lodge is way out of my price range but we eat at Sanaa at least once and usually twice a trip. When we have a car great, but more than once while staying at a WDW "value" resort we have taken the bus and feel that it's worth the effort.
We enjoyed our dinner at Sanaa. We found the food excellent especially the bread service. It was not overly loud when we were there, we ate around 7:30 at night perhaps that makes a difference.
Great video! Loving Charles and as always Steve is awesome! Thank you for always saying the prices!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ also Lmao to that shade being thrown at the obnoxious laugh 😂
as a picky eater myself, it's nice to see a picky eater in the group. It helps me to see that at a restaurant I've never tried...that there could be options for me.
Really enjoyed this review. I've already heard good things about Sanaa, but this made is sound unbelievable. If i ever make it to Disney, I'll definitely go here and specifically order some of what you guys got.
Charles...great job on your attire. I appreciate a man who dresses nicely when going out to dine at a nice restaurant. All four of you are awesome and I am a huge fan, but come on guys, baseball caps indoors.....lol? I know, I am old school. Love your reviews and find them helpful.
My family of 7 and I went out of our way (took a Disney bus) to go to Sanaa on 6/3/17 (and had fastpasses for N'avi River Journey after). All of us agreed that on our 10 Day trip to Disney/Universal that it was the best restaurant we ate at even though we almost missed our coveted fastpasses to N'avi. (We barely made it back.) We got the Homemade Candy Bar, too, and it was amazing. Best thing they have on the menu. I would completely agree with the noise level--I would rate it a 9.
Our last trip I️ ordered the chef special which was some type of fish. We had three other signature restaurant experiences that trip and my meal at Sanaa exceeded ALL of those!
Okay - have to admit Charles has really grown on me. At first I was not a fan of his reviews. I felt he over thought them. But this was such a great review by everyone especially Charles. Pete - I can not wait to try the Tandoori Chicken. You made it sound so good. We like Sanna, can't wait to go back. Sean - thanks for sharing your honest opinion. Glad to hear you are going back with friends. Of course Steve - always enjoy you in vlogs. Great show guys.
Great video and review. We love all of the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s restaurants. As far as being out of the way...If we’re not staying at the resort we always just stop there after our day at Animal Kingdom so we’re not driving back and forth. Boma comes in first then Jiko as a splurge. If we’re staying there then we hit all four. Thanks for sharing.
Except the pizza at The Mara. I stay with my family at the animal kingdom lodge every year and ever since they switched over to the "flatbreads" instead of regular pizzas you can taste that they are frozen. My dad couldn't even eat his when he ordered one so he asked for a refund since he didn't even touch it. They were super nice and offered him something else but when he was mentioning how it was frozen, the manager never said no it's not frozen. Goes to show they are cutting some corners. But overall the majority of the food in that hotel is phenomenal. The Boma has great soups!
I have wanted to try this place however I was nervous about trying it. Thanks for review. I have to admit this past year Charles has grown on me, I love the way he is fair and he thinks about the food. I like Steve's thoughts about food because sometimes I don't like risky items either. Sean still hasn't won me over. I trust Pete when he talks about places sometimes he comes off at the 1% but he still keeps it real.
Sanaa is the only AKL restaurant I've never been to, and never thought I'd want to, but you guys definitely made me WANT to try this, when I get back. i'd love to go with a group of people. and share stuff - the bread service and salad sampler, definitely,. then try some of the entrees you had, sharing, like tapas. Great review, guys, and thanx!
Great content as always. I'll have to revisit Sanaa. I tried it when it first opened and thought it was average- may have been our selections though because your meals look amazing.
Thanks for the review. We booked lunch @ Sanaa for our upcoming trip and I'm so looking forward to the bread service and the chocolate bar! I appreciate that you brought people with you who don't have adventurous pallets.
Absolutely love the dining show, we're making a list of places we should dine at & these are really helping us! Would you consider reviewing the Tokyo diningat epcot? Am really curious about that one. Keep up the awesome work guys!
This place seems pretty cool...I'm sure they have a kids menu--I can already tell my kids wouldn't touch this food--but I kind of want to try this place.
The Disney dining show has fast become my favourite dis unplugged series! More more more!
Charles is awesome at reviewing food. He's really grown on me and is a great addition to the team!
Sean's look at that man with the annoying laugh at 8:33 is priceless. lol
Charles is growing on me. His comments are always thoughtful and sincere, and he doesn't mince words. I'm find myself really enjoying his reviews. Also, we always pay a visit to Sanaa. We found it by accident, and fell in love. The food is delicious.
Charles keeps getting better at this to me. Seems like a cool dude
Ive liked charles since day one. I love his way of articulating eveything.
Charles, we love seeing you warm up and show your personality. This review was great! Love Sanaa! Loved your review!
Funny bird out the window around 13:00. Can't stop watching lol
Can we permanently replace Sean with Charles? I'm honestly not sure if I've heard Sean say a single and genuine positive thing about anything in any video, and the negativity always frustrates me. Why even spend the money to do anything on Disney property if there's nothing you enjoy?
Agreed.
Remember, Sean has never had a hot dog either. I don’t want to hear anything about food from someone who has never had a hot dog.
Now Charles is gone :(
LARKXHIN how do you know that? It hasn’t been that long ago since he was in a video.
I really don’t like how they handle people not being part of the dis anymore. One day they are just gone forever without a word said by Pete or anyone. Why not just tell what’s going on? LARKXHIN I’m so sad Charles Bota is gone from the DIS
I am loving these reviews, Pete! All have been very thoughtful and insightful, especially Charles. I love how articulate he is!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sooo glad it wasn't just me that noticed that guys laugh! "a machine gun crossed with a goat" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 spot on description! I'm dead. 🤣🤣🤣
Excellent review. Sanaa might be the best “one dining plan credit” restaurant at WDW. The team needs one or two women on these reviews.
LOL Pete describing that man’s laugh made my day! 😂
A Billy goat and a machine gun LMAO. I love you Pete
Great job guys! Charles is a wonderful addition to the team and he looked very nice as well. Makes me want to fly down from Michigan and have lunch! I love getting a inside look at the restaurants decor as well. Your videos are addictive!

Charles was great in this!!! Love seeing him speaking up more and finding his feet welcome addition 😊
Sanaa was/is one of my favorite dining experiences that doesn't seem to get enough attention in my opinion. Glad to see it get reviewed! Charles offered useful and in-depth insight into the food and experience. Thank you for the review!
Wow Pete ..... you calling someone obnoxious is hilarious. Charles great job
Sean and Steve should do a Kids Menu review at restaurants their palettes are completely unrefined/unsophisticated. Such a waste of a meal. Like Sean, why would you think Irish potato soup in an AFRICAN RESTAURANT! Like dude come on!
Charles much respect for your thoughts and dressing like you are going to work! Bravo to you!

charles is getting better all the time
Really love the great addition Charles has made to the team!
Love this review! We are planning to eat dinner at Sanaa during our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the spring of 2018. We have never been to AKL and can't wait!
Why is Sean even on these reviews? All he does is use the opportunity to tell the world the looooong list of things he won't eat. 🙄
I love Sanaa and have eaten here a few times. Love the bread service and also the tandoori chicken. Delicious! And I love sitting near the window to see the animals such as the crowned crane peeking in the window at you :)
Loving this segment! Love hearing about Disney dining. Also round of applause for Charles! Looks snazzy and a super great addition to the team 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏼

Were you seriously expecting an Irish style soup at an African restaurant with some Indian inspired flavors?
Really like this new show and I definitely need to get that bread service and Pete’s tandoori chicken next time! Sean is not good on this show, he never likes anything. Charles, I loved your enthusiasm! Sanaa is my favorite Disney restaurant. A must for me on every trip.
We love Sanaa for lunch on our Animal Kingdom day as it is a short bus ride away and can be a good break from the heat of Animal Kingdom
Love the shows, let's get John and Kevin in on some too! :P
Looks like people are finally jumping on the Charles bandwagon.
About time.
We really like Charles now.
Tandoori Chicken is my favorite Indian Dish so I would definitely love to eat here next time I go to Disney
This is definitely one of our go-to places for lunch. Always excellent. Leave Animal Kingdom and have a late lunch here. You can frequently get a same day reservation for lunch.
I actually had to back up to hear the billy goat machine gun laugh.
Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in May for the first time. So excited!
Favorite restaurant on WDW property. Always get the bread service and the butter chicken. Never seemed as loud as the video portrays. Great review guys!! Very articulate and descriptive!!
Great review! I'm going to go next time I'm in town. Thanks!
My 15 year old daughter lives for Sanaa's bread service.
as a picky eater myself, it's nice to see a picky eater in the group. It helps me to see that at a restaurant I've never tried...that there could be options for me.
Omfg that man laughing in the backround,I would have left and come back when he had gone because things might have got ugly
Yay! Keep this show coming. Great review
Happy to see this review since we will be going here for lunch on our trip in April
Really enjoyed this review. I've already heard good things about Sanaa, but this made is sound unbelievable. If i ever make it to Disney, I'll definitely go here and specifically order some of what you guys got.

Great review guys. Thanks for wearing the PSU hat Steve. My family would love this restaurant.
Ok I feel Charles' hair is inspired by the bird outside during dessert!! 😂😂
Homeboy was rockin that JC Penny vest like it was his job!! Good job, Charles.
Our last trip I️ ordered the chef special which was some type of fish. We had three other signature restaurant experiences that trip and my meal at Sanaa exceeded ALL of those!

So looking forward to my dinner at Sanaa in January, love this place.
Oh, and they indicated they didn't get any alcohol, but Sanaa has a really nice drink list - mixed drinks, beer, etc - if you are looking for that
Great video and review.
Great job guys. I really enjoyed this one and now I am hungry.
We had lunch there with an animal expert, and it was amazing. Love the bread service! Thank you for the review.

Is there anyway to secure a window table at this restaurant? Should I call ahead even though I made the reservation on the app?
smiilexoxo27 I'm curious about this, too.
I ate breakfast at Sanaa during my last vacation and it was fabulous!
My wife and I both love Sanaa. It’s our favorite restaurant on property.
(I keep staring at a person not on the DIS in this video.)
Rob I was so afraid the woman was going to lose a bit in that cleavage! ( She had her hand under each bite ) ??
I love that you give the prices.
Can you do more of these!? It needs to be marketed better as it is an outstanding series
Great content as always. I'll have to revisit Sanaa. I tried it when it first opened and thought it was average- may have been our selections though because your meals look amazing.
Great review! I have never eaten here before and would like to visit after watching.
Lol @ 8:34 the evil side-eye at that obnoxious laugh!
Sanaa is awesome
The laugh of an a-hole. LOL. 8:33
Whoever that was in the background, had by far the most obnoxious laugh ive heard in a long time.
Anthony Cunningham I was think that too...
Two weeks away from my 4th WDW holiday and Sanaa is the only table service that has made the cut for every trip, it's very good.
Thanks for the review. We booked lunch @ Sanaa for our upcoming trip and I'm so looking forward to the bread service and the chocolate bar! I appreciate that you brought people with you who don't have adventurous pallets.
Folks really don't understand just how good the Tandoori Chicken is at Sanaa!
Absolutely love the dining show, we're making a list of places we should dine at & these are really helping us! Would you consider reviewing the Tokyo diningat epcot? Am really curious about that one. Keep up the awesome work guys!
Holy cow this is a loud restaurant.
Loving the Dining show! 💜
The animals in the background 💛
4:24 so nice to see the hat!
My debate is between booking BOMA breakfast (we have done dinner) or Sanna lunch. Party of 8
Does the $200 include Pete’s extra take home entree?
Having dinner at Jiko on our trip in December. Can. Not. Wait.
Great review.
Looks very appetizing! ;)
This place seems pretty cool...I'm sure they have a kids menu--I can already tell my kids wouldn't touch this food--but I kind of want to try this place.
