That was one of the best shows....I remember when he came to the jacket rabbits ball park and was singing autographs...thank you again fie a ASWOME show
I got to go over to Rollie's house and do this same thing last Wednesday. He has some amazing stuff. Picked up his 73 world series hat, the sleeves that went under his 69 home rookie jersey (I own the jersey). He has his 1st mlb strikeout and 1st mlb save in it. He inscribed it for me with the dates. My most favorite piece of memorabilia, but paired up again with the sleeves it looks amazing!! Such a very amazing man, and super hospitable!!!
Goldin has his show releasing soon, but you guys are the true hidden gem. The stories you tell and the way you carry yourself is what we all want the hobby to represent. Thank you
Wonder if Ken G. will do what he did in a Instagram live I listened to/watched when he was saying he is legit and spoke in the 3rd person mentioning he has 9 figures in his bank account and lives on a house on the golf course with "x" acres... sounds insecure and/or a narcissist.
Congratulations on meeting Rollie. That was well with the experience alone without buying anything. Knowing how he obtained each item or card/s makes it that much more special. Crazy to think he was working in the Topps Finest department back then.
His Story of not only being a collector but having that special inside connection is Truly affectionate, when it comes to telling stories about the item.. super cool!
First Baseball player I asked to sign anything. It was a program in Sun City AZ when the Brewers played there. My grandfather pushed me to his bus which was a NYer move , Rollie gave my grandpa the eye but was nice to me. Much nicer than he should’ve been. Especially in those days.
Hands down one of the most entertaining episodes yet! Even if what this show is about making deals were off camera, the pure change up of talking America's Pastime with an iconic legend makes up for it beyond expectations!
My favorite episode to date! Rollie was so genuine in his collecting style, and his love of the history of the game, that he chose items of significance to him, and to baseball. Just like most average collectors would choose. It brought joy to my heart. Thank you for sharing
Such a humble guy. Love it. A year and a half ago or so I bought a collection and it had 50 sealed boxes of Rollie fingers "Yak Packs" Supposedly was from his personal collection, but when you ripped them it was just random cards from random years like someone bought a collection of cards and put them in a pack. Pretty cool packaging.
What an amazing episode, I live in Milwaukee and was a kid watching Rollie Fingers when he played for the Brewers. It’s great seeing him today an apprentice that he was willing to open his home and share his collection with all of us. Thanks!
what a remarkable episode…you guys just keep pushing further and further…for a baseball collector like myself your hardwork is appreciated…really enjoy dedicating time to watch all your episodes…thank you and KEEP CHASING!
That was awesome! So glad to see you guys get to make a connection like this! I hope more former players will want to step up and share their collections and stories.
This show is my favorite on UA-cam. A lot of people love their "Antiques Road Show", but the gems that you guys come up with are so awesome! Who would have thought you'd see Rollie Fingers? The man is absolutely special, and is a wonderful historian for the game of baseball. I loved every minute of this episode! Great show, and that was a wonderful surprise seeing a gem, like Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers in an episode. Thanks for that. You made my night!
I couldn’t stop smiling thru this whole interview/visit. Rollie seems like such a great guy, and the access he had to all these hall of famers is incredible. Us collectors can only dream of a collection like his. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us.
Man it is absolutely insane that this isn’t a tv show , idk if you have a background in production but , mannnn such awesome content you guys bring , keep up the awesome work
Ty this was just great. Yes please more HOFers. The stories these guys have, we'll soon lose alot of these guys still around and they are walking history. Thanks for all your work, its so appreciated!
Amazing episode! Wow, thanks for sharing 🙏🏼 I met Rollie when I was a kid in 1997 at the MLB All-Star weekend fan fest in Cleveland. He was as nice as could be and I still have my Rollie Fingers autographed ball on display to this day. Thanks, Rollie.
Thanks Rollie for the time spent and the stories told. Bits of valuable treasure. My brother was a A's fan during the 70's and I was a Dodgers fan. Great memories and stories, as we lived in Sacramento during those years. Went to several A's games throughout those years. I reminisce as to how my baseball/softball career and the love of the game flourished. And my card collecting was born. Absolutely love these stories.
That was really fun guys.. Just to be able to meet and talk baseball and life with Rollie Fingers..😮 This is at the top of my favorite episode's Ty and appreciate you taking us along..😍😉 His collection is very cool and nostalgic also he was very generous with you guys.. Love this.. Take care..👍💕🔥👊
Such a cool experience!! If you are ever in Portland Oregon I have a collection I would sell. I have Tons of amazing cards and some cool memorabilia no one else has
I'm 62yo.... and still playing senior softball at the 60's age group. Won a bid for a chance at the tournament of champions for the first time ever and when you get older, this interaction with ballplayers and their stories is what it's all about. Matter of a fact.. got a chance to play against José Canseco last year. Wow!! I remember chasing his cards in my 20's and now I get to play against him in my 60's. I was actually playing on a 55's team. I'm 62. The stories we can tell. Cards and the sports we love is what it's all about. Keep showing collecting and collection's like this. Thanks for sharing
this was amazing, Rollie is so genuine and friendly. i could sit there all day listening to him tell his stories. thank you guys for this video it was great!

Amazing episode Ty! You asked great questions and really enjoyed the editing. I would love to see more HOF guys that collect, there collections are so unique! Nothing better then when a collection has additional meaning!
@@CHASINGCARDBOARD you need to go find Dmitri Young and interview him all these years after he sold those legendary cards from his PC. Perhaps he still has a solid collection that you can document and he can speak about his collecting experience.
@@CHASINGCARDBOARD I would start with Marcel. My guess is he knows more guys. Don't have to be stars, just cool items/stories. Rollie's stories woven with the footage was awesome. Also, if I were you, I'd be a fool not to ask Rollie. My guess there are lots of former players who would love some attention and to show off their trophies, so-to-speak.
That was so much fun; thank you for sharing it with us. I was wondering if we would see him in a future episode after seeing some of his cards at the Awesome Card Shop. I'm so happy that it happened. :)

Man, that was awesome!!! Loved the stories he shared!! To the question on what HOF player to possibly see next or sometime, I think it would be cool if Ty heads back to his old stompin' grounds in KC and visits George Brett!
Thank you so much!! And yes.... I will absolutely get George on the show... it's on my bucket list. Maybe we can just combined George and Bobby Witt Jr together. ;-)

This may be the favorite episode to date. Poor Mike missed out again. The stories. I could sit and listen to those all day. What a joy to see him tell the stories of collecting. I could see him walking tables and picking up things that others just leave behind. That classic collector. And he’s a hall of famer. Love it. Great episode.
