I live in Minnesota in a small town, but I’ve also lived in the suburbs to a bigger city; neither have a ton of sidewalks. It sounds silly but you just walk on the edge of the street. The streets are wide enough that you can park on either side and have room to drive in the middle too, so you just walk on the edge of the street and keep an eye out for cars. Also that is mainly for neighborhood streets, but the main streets with shops and things do tend to just about always have sidewalks. Hope this helps explain the lack of them! 😊
I used to live in Phoenix and I remember alot of sideways in our area. I think every city is different.

what is it that makes you say matty is a bad guy? i’m a huge the 1975 fan so this is defo coming from a place of bias but everything people are coming out with regarding him being awful is taken out of context or just purely fabricated. i just don’t get it, I think they’re cute together and at a very similar stage of life! fab video as always, love these america vlogs xxx

@Emma Blasdale If you have listened to the podcast and still think his behavior was okay, I don't know what to tell you. He has apologized though and I hope he has changed but a small google search will tell you the podcast wasn't the only instance of problematic behavior. Imo he isn't the best guy but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I am straight so I can’t comment on experience but from what I’ve seen for sure straight men who aren’t even homophobic in the beginning find woman attracted to other women really brings their pride down, not even the fact that you’ve chosen that particular person over that particular man, but it’s definitely a jealous/ bitterness based comment rather than straight to the point of homophobia (I mean they defo are homophonic) but men are the worst for it they can’t think of anything else to hurt like you’ve hurt their pride.
