I compared my previous world to this and I improved my building techniques through other UA-cam videos on tutorials. It inspired me to become a better builder than I was before. So if you compare something make sure to be in the mindset to learn from it rather than be disappointed by it.

A trick is to not look at the buildings themselves up close because if you focus your attention on a singular small house that they build, you'll see that it is very plain in shape and colors, but it is the far away view and the area around it that bring it it's charm

I like the difference between this time-lapse and other time lapses. Normally, a time lapse would only focus onto one build, this one focuses on the entirety with a good pace. Excellent.

@Cole Davis yeah I am, it's a pretty old trick, but it does the job. watching them design the city doesn't look nearly as good, and replicating it by hand is a lot harder that just breaking it down and reversing the footage.
I was gonna say, this build is way too beautiful to accurately represent Novigrad from the Witcher. It really is an absolute shit-hole of a city in the game - things falling to pieces, junkies and prostitutes and shady people everywhere, and people being burned at the stake.

Did you notice that not a single block has been broken in this timelapse? These minecraft gods never misplace a block!
It is a breakdown timelapse, meaning they had already designed the build, then destroyed it by hand and reversed the footage.

@Cole Davis yeah I am, it's a pretty old trick, but it does the job. watching them design the city doesn't look nearly as good, and replicating it by hand is a lot harder that just breaking it down and reversing the footage.

I was gonna say, this build is way too beautiful to accurately represent Novigrad from the Witcher. It really is an absolute shit-hole of a city in the game - things falling to pieces, junkies and prostitutes and shady people everywhere, and people being burned at the stake.
