It is 2077, and humanity is causing the world to suffer an unprecedented peak of pollution. It must face a new environment destroyed by an insatiable appetite for overconsumption.
To survive, our kind had to make major ecological decisions, which it could never have foreseen in the past, but which have now become a reality.
Discover this city that was built on the forgotten remains of the 21th century, with its megastructures splitting the skies, built chaotically one on top of the other.
You will see its industrial zone that sorts its waste, its purification facility as well as its wind farms coupled with a revolutionary transformer that amplifies this unlimited source of energy.
Stroll through the port that receives enough food to feed the huge population of this city that could not otherwise provide for itself.
In exchange, it provides cutting-edge technology and exports its know-how.
Admire all these lighting effects generated by the many billboards and holograms that overlook the skyscrapers.
This map is strongly inspired by the city of Night City, from the game Cyberpunk 2077 of CD Projekt. This map is in no way a copy or an identical reproduction of the Cyberpunk 2077 version, just an inspiration.

How 5 year old me thought my base would look like:

In my eyes, there are five levels of building.
1. Beginners who can only use one or two blocks, and make rather small, normally four-walled houses.
2. More understanding, intermediate, learning how to make different shapes of buildings, and a slightly larger block palette, through without the small details.
3. Advanced where you can build detailed individual houses, though rarely planning it out. Able to put depth in all aspects of the building, from interiors to exteriors, as well as furniture and floors.
4. What people call a “pro.” Plans things out, can terraform and making natural formations, and build better than most people can draw, can rotate buildings at strange angles and make them look amazing, painstakingly beautiful detail where needed, and emptiness where such is to be emphasized. Mostly does a few buildings only.
5. Map makers, able to do this absurd stuff, building an entire city or map with insane detail everywhere, fitting the aesthetic and theme all over it, with quality enough to believe there’s lore to it. Dedication is through the roof. Full teams of builders or a single person with worldedit and more time than activities. Absolutely astonishing,

As someone who knows a bit about how things like this are done, and I'm sorry to ruin the magic for some of you guys, but it's all actually being destroyed and the footage reversed. Absolutely no one builds things like this in the way this time lapse shows lol. Just watch some of Arzey's timelapses here. That's more accurate to the method.
Although your contribution was small in comparison to the largeness of this project, I felt that the hologram you made was really fuckin well done. Even while watching the video I was hoping that a closer look at it would be shown.

I don't think I can convey how much this video captures the essence of cyberpunk architecture, the way different styles are built one upon the other to give it a sense of an "ordered chaotic" functionality, as it copes with massive population densities in limited spaces, expressed wonderfully with the chronology pace of each phase. This was a real treat to watch 👍👍👍

Can we just appreciate how well this was thought out? Not only is it a stunning build, the storyline is also easy to follow because you built the higher, more flashy buildings on top of the already existing city! Props for the architectural layout of the city and the insane amount of detail for a project this huge.

Not really, there is nothing inside the buildings and they use the copy and paste thingy mod
@@saulvazquez7344 there built to look cool aesthetically not to be built inside of I used to wonder why there builds looked so cool but they never did the interior and it's for 2 reasons the first is obvious that would take days but second you would be limited on how intricate you can make your builds for example a spiral tower would look cool but building inside it would be very awkward and I dont really see a problem with world edit it saves tons of time if you're building something it's not like they have 60 of the same building

God I love this time lapse plus the music perfectly fits. My favourite bit has to be the cleanness of the circuits being built to connect the wind turbines.
What's very impressive is the time and effort taken in this timelapse, like, i even think that they did not even sleep just to build this magnificent project.
It's appearance is just too realistic that it does not even look like Minecraft itself, but a whole new video game with an ultra modern city map, with structures that modern day does not even have in any ultra modern utopia.
A really huge appreciation to this work, simply magnificent.
