Great review, right mix of technical info and objective commentary! I love this watch, especially with a NATO. It would be great if you could do a side-by-side with a Titoni Seascoper 600.
One of my favorite, I strongly agree with your point of views. If it had a sundial option, also an orange option for the date and a micro adjustment clasp. I think that would be a win-win.
I have this in 43.5mm with black dial and bezel, I love it and will never part with it, but I sometimes wonder if I should have got the black and orange it does look stunning. Mine came with a bracelet but I also bought an Omega black with orange trim rubber dive strap that actually belongs to the black and orange PO 600m, it looks great on the all black model too, I'm going to get the all black dive strap next.
I like it too. My dad wants to buy me a watch. We tried it in a store and let me tell you these were best feeling watch in store. They had a weight to them and felt like a tank. They kind of looked bigger than other watch but fit me better at the same time. The bracelet also felt nice and sturdy and keeped up with watches. For me the best watch in the store, the breitling avenger came in second place for me. The avenger felt more masucile and was physically bigger but still fit my agerage wrists quite well and I got that macho feel from them but the Omegas just felt one notch higher quality.
@@eyeheartsushi2212 yes, after 3 visits of the watch store I choose the Planet Ocean. I have it short of 2 months now. I used it in pools, sea etc. Its very versatile and I wear it every day. There is not one day I havent worn them sice I got them. Sometimes I sleep in them. They are the right blend of elegant and sporty. I can wear them with smart clothes but also with cargo shorts and crazy shirts. They do everything right. They already have some scratches from being worn so much… they are running accurate and I had to adjust them only once because they were a minute fast. After hard 2 month use. Bezel is amazing and I use it all the time to measure time or just to get the satisfying clicks, always realigns with precision. Luminescence shines like a radioactive material. They wear nicely but are a bit tall for being worn under a tight sweater. Also they are somewhat heavier and you know you are wearing them most of the time. Might be a good thing sometimes. Clasp feels amazing and I play around with it too. Winding motion makes me feel good too…… its 2 months and they are staying because of their intrinsic value. With these you dont need no other watch even though in future I want more watches like the speedmaster and many more different make and models. I would like some more bastard watch. Maybe the flashy Breitling Chrono or Avenger… and something more unusual… to go even betterwith my causual outfits… I got a buzzcut a week ago and put on a shorts and the omega felt somewhat too understated for all the young energy I have. This omega is not a natural attention grabber with non watch people. And most people dont notice them. Some blue/red breitlings could improve this to get more bold and young image. Whereas Omega is a classic proffesional.
Sadly, although I don't have a spiffy jacket, and don't wear shirts with cuffs like that, I DO have half a dozen Omega watches, starting with the Flightmaster I bought in 1971. I might treat myself to this one, too, since I like the contrasty bezel - we'll have to see how it looks on my 7.5" wrist.
Reading from Omega official website, they said the zero to fifteen minutes yellow marker on the bezel was rubber. How durable is that rubber? Will it be rubbed off, peeled off, or deteriorate over time?
I swear I’ve been bouncing in between the 39.5mm and the 42mm for a minute now 7.15 inch wrist but I have a big wrist because I’ve broken it a few times lol. Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks
IMO the 39.5mm PO has a weird dial proportions. I have 7 1/4" wrist and the 43.5mm PO is perfect sport watch. The smallest diver Id go be Sub41 nothing less than that, but I have a muscular complexion, is another reason why small watches look odd on me.
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial Ive considered Blancpain FF bathyscaphe as another diver, but they all have sloppy bezels. Unacceptable at this price range. The final fact that determined exclusion of Blancpain from my wish list, was a picture of Blancpain bathyscaphe with delamination in the bezel.
Yah, that threw me for a loop. I think he was measuring half of the lug to lug distance (but then that’s also confusing as that has nothing to do with depth capability).
About the bezel, needs to be a bit tighter... and who cares if it makes a cools sound, if your diving you don't want it to move once its set. To dangerous if it that loose.
So true. If 'were lookign for a watch in this price range why not look for one with a 600m dive rating even if we don't even plan to get our feet wet?? Why not get a watch that's "more water tight" and rated to withstand more water pressure, better sealed, maybe made of titanium....etc. Why not get this over the 300m Pro (just because Brosnan and Craig wore one in their Bond mvoies)....for only $1000 more.... Is the Planet Ocean too uch $? There's the Tudor Pelagos.....maybe the 'best value" in this price trance $6-10k watche.....rated for i think 600m, Ti case and bracelet, comes with 2 rubber straps...etc.... it realy is about "what we can say about our watch" when among friends :)) Let's be honest....most guys who buy dive watches DON'T DIVE :))
My take is the 217g weight will wear you out after a while. I have a Tudor Black Bay 41mm that probably weighs around 180g (maybe a little more) and at the end of the day my wrist needs a break LOL.
Great review but these diver wanna be, I know some Rolex and Omega owners who can barely swim 🤣 Do please 🙏 Longines Silver Arrow 2021 - more adequate for snorkeling 😅 and our beloved British 🌧 rain - my next purchase as my Tudor Bb58 39mm has... absolutely no BLING (a useful concept that 1998 rappers brought into world's attention)
0:42 No. Neither will 99.99999999999% of those rich divers.. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 it is well known that all world divers are rich enough to buy that shit😂😂 snobwatch i wouldnt wear if u pay me 5k usd
it's a god dam beast. 600m resistance. anti magnetic to 15,000 gaus. it's probably bulletproof too.
I’ve had mine for 7 years. I wear it a lot. It feels solid and it’s very accurate. I love its looks.
5 years with mine. It’s perfect.
Had mine for 4 or so years as my daily, literally never let me down and looks phenomenal, I still find myself admiring how good looking it is
Just picked one of these up new yesterday with the rubber strap. It's amazing.
The micro adjustment is for summer when your wrist swells. There is a separate extension for the wetsuit.
The white dial Seamaster on the wrist at the start of the video is my favourite.
It's amazing. The rubber works so well with it aswell!
You did not measure the lug width properly!

How do you compare your 300 meter with the planet ocean? I presently have a 300 meter just like yours - considering the planet ocean.
I have just bought this watch but with the Blue Dial, it’s amazing and absolutely love it 😊

Is this ok smallish wrist ? 39.5. Not too thick
Another nice review, thank you for sharing 👍

I asked that myself. And the older orange alu bezel one is far more beautiful.
Gees, why the heck did they do that??
i would love a big orange 3
Lovely watch
1:42 what the hell is he measuring? lol
great watch! pink dream. In the meantime, I'm enjoying Ball Devgru
It’s a fantastic watch
Please do a review for the Planet Ocean GMT
Coming right up! Stay tuned.
I just picked up this watch in blue, love everything about it except….the lume sucks

Calling it a tool watch is really annoying. I mean heck, a skx is a "tool" watch isn't it? Funny thing is who uses these things as a tool?
I thought your name was Harrison As Always
Odd method of measuring lug width… callipers not used in the correct place… giving a rough reading of 25mm…
Actually measured from approximately the middle of the crown to a lug tip
@@chun-sunchan6106 I agree, that’s not lug width. He was confused lol
Yah, that threw me for a loop. I think he was measuring half of the lug to lug distance (but then that’s also confusing as that has nothing to do with depth capability).
They have ultra deep 6000m
the only divers that go to 600 meters are the ones been eaten by sharks , lol
I´m not sure how the rubber inlay will look ten years from now. So no.
Everytime I see someone with seamaster I ask them how deep they dive.
Cheers

No it doesn't, that bezel would kill your fingers and would be unusable in low grip situations.
Had one an sold it, just too heavy and chunky. I suspect it is well overdue for an update in 2022
Whaddaya know? It just got heavier and chunkier 🤣

Great watch but with a lug width of 21mm, it’s a deal breaker for me. I’ll do 20mm or 22mm but it’s to hard to find NATO straps for 21 mm.
There's smaller sized PO's that have 20mm lug width.
