I’ve owned this piece. Ironically, for the smaller wrist, this is the best diver to own. The PO39.5 wears a lot smaller than the SMP300 on wrist and the bracelet is amazing,
I have owned this model close to 4 years now. A keeper for sure. Size is great if you have a slim wrist. Bracelet is great - when I put this on it feels like I'm putting on armor. :) Only downsides: a bit on the chunky side in thickness, and 19mm lug width - would love for it to be 20mm. Highly recommended!
Does it works well some mechanical watches runs faster like 2 minutes or 3 minutes or slower. Seiko watches has the same problem in it. What about omega.
I’m turkish, and I live in turkey..my salary is 5300 turkish lira..this watch is 99.100 turkish lira..that's almost 19 times my salary..this watch is my dream..If you live in a country where this time is easier to buy, you are very lucky..you should thank god and the politicians who run your country 👍
That's really nice. My nitpicks are that I wish it was a bit thinner with a less chunky bracelet. Also maybe a passive non-protruding helium escape valve.... But the valve is ok..... Close to a perfect grail Omega.
Thinner would be nice, but I hear the semi sandwich style makes it look thinner, I also heard a guy that got the 37.5mm didn’t end up liking it because the bracelet wasn’t as wide. Just something to think about. He was actually selling it mainly because of that
Great watch. The bezel action is just a hair behind the ceramic sub. One of the best bezel actions on a luxury dive watch out there. Only complaints is ofc the thickness and the bracelet is a bit of a chunker.
I’m curious as to how shiny the black ceramic dial is compared to the blue ceramic. I’ve heard some say that the blue ceramic was “too shiny” but this seems like a perfect diver to me
This is the better looking better refined diver from omega, more than the smp300. It looks better and more modern and interesting than the submariner also but it lacks the thinness and bracelet refinement of the latter. If omega can address these 2 issues it will reign superior.
The bracelet is refined enough. As for the other issue, this is apparently as thin as Omega can make the watch, given the 600mm water resistance, the dive bezel, and the co-axial escapement. If they could make it thinner, they'd have done it.
It’s nice when viewed at an angle - the dial pops. However, when viewed straight on and at most angles - the dial looks dull because the indices seemingly disappear.
I had a 1960's era solid gold "SEAMASTER". The only complaint? It had a glass crystal which could be easily scratched. Otherwise? IT was the PERFECT watch to wear to the office daily or to any special occasion.
Which makes me wonder when they will dabble with updates to either and make it worse. Feel like it's going to be soon. They've been messing with the Aqua Terra the past few years and the Speedmaster with its 50th anniversary.
@@gyang333 it’s always possible 😬 like the new Speedmaster is better than ever with the upgraded movement, lovely bracelet and small dial finishing upgrades… but they removed all the extra stuff in the box 😭 no extra strap, strap changing tool or loupe which is a big big shame IMO
@@gyang333 This is Omega’s biggest issues, I wonder if the designers at Omega actually listens to what we want, or they just busy scrolling on their Onlyfans and call it a day😑

Hey Mosso. . . . you can't say that this one (the 39.5) wears larger than it does (where you said it wears like a 41), where you say that the 43.5 is "quite constrained" (ua-cam.com/video/YJXub8BxMm8/v-deo.html) . Can't have it both ways and expect to maintain your credibility.
It's smaller than other 43mm watches with only 49mm lug to lug. This 39.5mm is literally 40.5mm size due to the adymmetric lugs, so it does actually wear like 40-41mm.
this right here is my attainable grail watch. when my priorities switch in a few years i will get it. must be the prettiest diver ever made

Is the Planet Ocean heavy?
It’s so dam thick though

Tim, easily one of the better looking watches on your wrist!
This must be the most beautiful watch ever Made…❤️
My favorit diver watch.. 39.5 mm is sweet spot for my small wrist. Still saving to get this beauty.

My daily beater since Nov last year. Love it to BITS. 3 position micro adjustment is GODSENT!

Maybe look for an original Planet Ocean model 2201.50 which is quite a bit thinner?

This watch wears deceptively well for a thick watch.
I agree more refined than smp300, it may look more modern than the sub but the sub design wins imho.
7.25" wrist here and seriously considering this watch. Everything else 40mm+ are just out of my taste/size.
Did you get it?
beautiful watch Tim. Is the planet Ocean renewed for 2022 (because this model is 5 years old)?
Does this flop around on the wrist due to its size? Is it heavy? I'm looking for something that won't do that and is comfortable for daily wear.
It’s nice when viewed at an angle - the dial pops. However, when viewed straight on and at most angles - the dial looks dull because the indices seemingly disappear.
I just wish this had a time zone feature like the 8900 movement does.

pretty nice classic piece. i wonder what year they switched the caseback design from engraved to embossed.
A slight and I mean slight taper on the bracelet would up the class factor…I have a 7.5 inch wrist and I think this size is perfect..class
what is the difference between a Co- aixial 3800, 8800 and the 3500?
Buying this watch this month! Waiting for my AD to get it delivered from Switzerland.
Do they still have this size in the new range?
One issue with the video - the bezel is better than ceramic, it's Omega's "liquid metal".
really nice proportions on this one. almost a cushion case look to it.
Great review as usual
Did this one sell already, Tim?
Amazing! Perfect watch
I wish they would make the hour markers smaller.
Would love a ceramic bezel combined with a matte dial but don't think this is coming any time soon
The previous generation Planet Ocean had that. Matte ceramic bezel and matte Black dial. The one with the orange numbers is really nice.
Near perfection!
Beautiful
i wish these bars were smaller
Omega have got the current Seamaster and planet ocean range pretty perfect 😎 looking to get the deep black GMT some time

14.3mm is just absurd. If only they did a 200m version, keep the looks but lower the WR
İ dont understand why dial is shiney!!
Its made of ceramic, thats why

14.3?? For a little diver? Absolutely ridiculous. Fatal flaw. Hey look, we made a nice petite diver. It's as thick as a quarter pounder with cheese
