Hi Ed. Nice to see you again,I’ve been wondering when you would be back again.like that style of music,I will be getting the in-depth lesson, keep up the good work Warmest Regards. Norm West Australia
@@TheHarmonicaBarge it’s a fiddle tune! Here’s someone doing it on harmonica Patrick street had the original version and it was in napoleon dynamite ua-cam.com/video/O0rWSKYNJTE/v-deo.html
@@sir.beefswaggerton9103 Ah that's James Conway, very cool and unique. I don't really play many Irish tunes and his style is very different. Super cool though! thanks
Yeh it’s fine, you’ll lose the splits and slaps of course but you can do some pucker trickery like tongue articulations and the bends will probably be easier. This quite a hard tune to play bending wise with a tongue block
Thanks for the feedback that’s my usual format but on this one I allow the learner to check out the source recording. In many ways this can be a more authentic folk learning experience All the best. Ed
I totally agree, that is the one REALLY annoying thing about these videos. You always want to show the student what it is they are about to learn before teaching them, that is a sound pedagogical principle at the root of all modern teaching techniques. Other than that, I think this guy is a bit of fresh air, love the focus on bluegrass and country.
Many thanks! I’m continuing to enjoy studying the harmonica. your videos are wonderfully helpful, and you are a great player!!
You're very welcome! all the best :)

Could you possibly do a lesson on music for a new found harmonium recently found a video of someone doing it on diatonic and I wanna learn it now
Hi, that sounds like an interesting project- you want harmonium music transcribed to harmonica?

Hi, did you drink beer?
Ha Ha, not during the lesson but I may well have done later in the day!
@@TheHarmonicaBarge In my opinion, this lesson will be a bit better with beer))Btw, what about JD Taylor style lessons? God bless you.
Play the entire tune first the way it’s meant to be played, then break it down. It’s a more effective teaching style.
