They're pain, but they're so nice looking when they're done. I LOVE my finished rubrics, but I dread painting them. One of my local buddies is playing Tsons as his main army. He just bought some pink horrors. He was telling me how much he loved painting the horrors since they weren't more rubrics.
The reason why I built 45 firstborn space wolves before even considering primaris was because of the characterful options. Fur pelts, knives, fangs, tails, etched armour, runes, unique trim, wolf headed weapons, skulls etc abound in the grey hunters set and the primaris options have zero character by comparison. Even if you think primaris is a gift from the gods it's very hard to admit that they look cooler than the firstborn units. It's better just to buy a single unit of grey hunters just so you can scatter their accessories around because they're so much cooler than even the upgrade sprue primaris
The allerus captain has the ability to turn all incoming damage to 1. This is a once per battle ability and lasts for 1 phase. Awesome when you use it, but ends quite quickly. He has T7 and W7. As for the Blade Champion he has 3 swords to chose from. One has sustained hits, one precision and one has devestating wounds. They have various number of hits and damage. 1dmg9atk, 2dmg6atk and 3dmg5atk.
More about the mortifier since I spent an hour last week reading up about it: the sarcophagus one is called an "anchorite", and actually has two uses: one use is as a super-mortifier, where sisters that actively betrayed and fought against their battle sisters are put in unimaginable pain and torture, kept from the outside world and unable perceive anything but pain. Plus since the pilot is armored, unlike the other mortifier, instead of simple days or weeks of torture, its years or decades. Alternatively, they're also used as sisters dreadnoughts, with all the torture stuff taken out and actual life support put in. Quite the dichotomy. (Also, the armor on the head for unarmored ones is actually meant to specifically block out the sound of hymns from battle sisters, so that the "pilot" can't even find a hint of redemption or relief from worship.
The difference between a mortifier and a dreadnought is that the suffering is the intent of the mortifier whereas with the dreadnought suffering is the byproduct
I have more new things in the works. I'm still going to be doing your regularly shceduled program of 40k on a budget, but it is a TON of work. This 2 hour long video was less than half the work of 1 20 minute budget video.
Tsons was my first army and I thought I hated painting until I bought my daemons, then I realised I just hate painting rubrics

@@Speeds_Gaming_Corner I'm very slowly but surely chipping away at the grey box of tson shame 😮💨
Thanks for having me on again Tyler. I hope y'all enjoyed two nerds BSing over their favorite models in 40k.
A video suggestion outside of 40k on a budget. Cheap and effective terrain ideas!

This better be just giving 52 reasons why the centurion is the greatest thing to happen to man.
**nervous laughter**

Thanks! Trying to find the exact datasheets (and making sure they are accurate) was pretty difficult during recording!

If you do AoS gobbapalooz has to be number 1 for design
AoS would only be design because I know nothing else about AoS.
But Sylvaneth are probably my favorite
That is a Zoat Skull on Kyria's shoulder (or her dragon's mamma), too small to be a much bigger than a genestealer.
painted my first rubric to this.. no i am not close to being done
You're almost halfway there.
Yeah! New things are happening.

@@Speeds_Gaming_Corner Nice, I shall wait expectantly.
