The greatest interviewer of all time, talking to one of the most under appreciated actors all time about my favorite movie of all time. It doesn’t get any better.
private parts was one of the best comedies of the 90s. one of the biggest surprise movies as it was terrific. I don't think going in, that people expected it to be as good as it was.
Very underatted actor...not to critics, but just for the general audience...if youre not a movie person, you dont know his name..but you know youve seen him in alot of films/ shows
I almost didn't recognize Paul even though I just saw and loved him in The Holdovers. It's not just the appearance that's so different, but his whole demeanor. In short: a great actor!
i actually have a copy of the UK trailer on 35mm film for private parts. i also own it on VHS and watched it with one of my friends a few months back. an alright movie, i will say.
wonder what Howard's approach to acting was on that film. cuz he's suggested he's all about honesty and openness, and acting you're maybe presenting a facade. altho this was a biopic
Hey just Hey just curious did he win the award? Hey just curious LOL did he win the award? And did he thank Howard? If not it's understandable LOL But it would be cool if it Was prophesize and came true 😎
Paul was brilliant in the role and honestly the same can be said of all he does.
Simply brilliant!
It was such a gem of a movie. He was perfectly cast.
Loved him in American Splendor.
Including "The Holdovers", which I just saw this past weekend.
Agreed! So hope he gets the Oscar! So deserving!
Paul’s career has aged beautifully. One of the greatest actors in our lifetime. Howard……
Haha, you viewed and commented within an hour of the upload, so I'd say his career is just fine
@@parthenocarpySA Haha.. Save it for therapy, dear.
“Private Parts” is still my favorite theater experience. The audience was so participatory. It was so much fun.
This movie made me a fan of Paul Giamatti, a true talent.
Loved him as John Adams. He’s definitely underrated
That was an AWESOME series!! Oh, so good. Learned so much about America just from that alone.
Best TV series EVER!
That movie was a lot better than I expected it to be. It was funny and Paul was awesome - the ending still makes me laugh!
Beeep Beeeeeeeeeeeep
I was 15 when that movie came out and I must have watched it 100 times since
this really makes me want to watch the movie... the chemistry between paul and howard was palpable...amazing job by all involved truly!!
You should. Thst movie is quite good. Better than i.thought would be.
Paul G. is one of my favorite actors of all time, simply beyond.
I REALLY love seeing this! Paul and Howard came together at the perfect time in their lives
Paul is a phenomenal actor. That was a brilliant and well done movie too. Howard should have done more films. He can act!
I love Private Parts so much been a fan of Giamatti since
For me, Paul Giamatti is hands down the greatest actor. I will always watch anything with him.
Two fantastics persons. That's great.
to me, Paul’s best role is John Adams. Absolutely brilliant performance.
Agreed. Incredible performances everywhere in that series for sure.
Mine is Miles Raymond in Sideways, but any of them will do
@@spicymemes7458Loved that movie. Paul was incredible.
Best TV series EVER!

Paul Giamatti has morphed into Billy Joel
😂
The end of Private Parts when Paul had his little melt down made the whole movie for me😅
my favorite actor today
Paul is an absolute gem 💎!! Howard and him have great chemistry!
He has to win the Oscar!
Very underatted actor...not to critics, but just for the general audience...if youre not a movie person, you dont know his name..but you know youve seen him in alot of films/ shows
Really love PG so authentic
Underrated comedy classic!
I really enjoyed that movie
I laughed so hard
Thank you for that ;)
he was memorable even in that small part in saving private ryan.
i loved this movie as a kid, and it made me LOVE Paul. I thought he was an actual big time actor already.
Such a great and iconic actor. Really hope he's a future Oscar winner.
I've watched Private Parts so many times. I remembered Paul Giamatti as Pigvomit for years after.
The Holdovers is great. I hope he wins an Oscar.
Paul rocked in that film. WNBC scene is classic comedy
I almost didn't recognize Paul even though I just saw and loved him in The Holdovers. It's not just the appearance that's so different, but his whole demeanor.
In short: a great actor!
he should have been up for an Oscar . The scene during the closing credits is incredibly funny
love to see paul getting the respect he deserves
Best actor today.
Really? Do you think he’s better than the Stanley from The Office?
He was fantastic in Sideways.
Paul G as Veal Chop in Safe Men is everything.
It’s so funny how Howard perked up when he said he’d thank him during his speech.
Megalomaniac…..🙄
Or an entertainer.
I LOVE PAUL GIAMATTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As great as Philip Seymour Hoffman is, I can't imagine anyone but Paul Giamatti in that role. Absolute classic.
Should have won an Oscar for his role as Veil Chop “Sasha” in Safe Men
One actor I can watch any movie he does.
He deserves the Oscar for his role in The Holdovers. NO question.
Howard was so good in PP. He really could have been an actor for a career.
No matter what year he wins the Oscar he's going to get an standing ovation
Always been a big fan. 😎
Howard's "Ooooh f" at 5:30 is hilarious
Howard stern awesome. Love movie private parts
He was a scene stealer in Private Parts
❤❤❤ ya PAUL
Paul better get bigger roles. I always wondered what happened to him for the longest. He’s fantastic.
Sideways is a good one too.
He’s awesome.
So HOWIE is finally back in the studio.. Finally 😎
I was already rooting for Paul to win an Oscar but now he really has to.
Howard called himself "King of All Media" at the time & became so. Radio, the book, the movie & TV + all the newspaper & magazine articles.
I bought that DVD just for his stuff.
Paul should have been nominated for Private Parts. He was awesome in the role.
I haven’t had any Merlot since “Sideways”.
That f%cking Merlot...
'Sideways' was Mr. Giamatti's masterpiece. How he didn't win an Academy Award for his acting in that is befuddling.
Howard has the strangest career arc but its been a blast to watch and read
Giamatti ends his Oscar acceptance speech: "...and Bababoey to you all!"
I was thinking that's how he'll start his speech. after the music stops and the hush of anticipation builds, "Bababooey!"
Private Parts was a great movie
A Fine Bromance.
Loved him in Fred Claus. Such a good St Nick.
i actually have a copy of the UK trailer on 35mm film for private parts. i also own it on VHS and watched it with one of my friends a few months back. an alright movie, i will say.
He’s the best in Sideways
Paul in "Barney's Version" should have won him an Oscar.
Private Parts was a legitimately good movie and Paul Giamatti was a clear standout. It is fun to see him disappear into all his roles.
When Paul wins the Oscar, I want to see him descend from the rafters dressed as Fartman.
I miss Phillip Seymour Hoffman so much
If Private Parts came out now, there would definitely be Best Actor Oscar talk for Stern. He was way before Eminem and those kinda films
Stern was playing himself though!
@@ricomajestic do you think Eminem was playing Nas in his film?!
@@LocoSunny Did eminem win an oscar for best actor?
That a bit of a reach. 😂
You're insane
If you want to hear the definitive version of "Hello It's Me" by Todd Rundgren, listen to Paul Giamatti in the Duets movie.
When does Howard walk into the studio?
Very very rarely.
That movie was all about Howard's love for his wife that he divorced a couple years later 😂
He played that role perfect.. He got me to absolutely despise Pigvommit… Good job
One of the funniest movies ever
The Stern Show cast all did an admirable job in Private Parts but I'm not sure if it works without Paul and Mary.
Is Howard still in a home studio?
Paul was the secret star of Private Parts, no disrespect to Howard
No secret.
Ah these two
“If I win that I would thank you”
Well you just talked yourself out of that award!
Aren't the votes in ?
@@trumpsflushingdocumentsaga2689the voting hasn’t even started yet, it’s from the 22nd-27th of this month
If only Howard could get back to his mentality when he was making that movie
John Adams is still one of the best TV series ever made
Paul is awesome. My favorite is sideways
Its still odd to me how Stanley Tucci went from Jury Duty to blockbusters
wonder what Howard's approach to acting was on that film. cuz he's suggested he's all about honesty and openness, and acting you're maybe presenting a facade. altho this was a biopic
he rocked in sideways i think its his best role
Paul’s best movie: Barney’s Version. Watch it…you won’t be disappointed.
Howard basically reminding Paul how he caught his big break from him.
Paul was great but Philip Seymour Hoffman would likely have crushed as well.
Are they in the same room?
Is it too late to say that meeting you is on my bucket list? Im just a social butterfly and i think just yapping together would be so cool ;)
I hope he wins and then thanks Jay Leno.
Then whyyy do they listen??
Most common answer...I want to see what he'll say next.
I remember how effusive Howard was about Giamatti at the time.
He was out of his mind back then
You know because he said he'd thank Howard he won't win now.
Hey just Hey just curious did he win the award? Hey just curious LOL did he win the award? And did he thank Howard? If not it's understandable LOL But it would be cool if it Was prophesize and came true 😎
Are they not in the same room
Does Stern know how to play the guitar?
Very basically. Fred had a band for a long time.
