Born on 16 December 1971, iDJ since 1991, working in the german club Dubmission (Berlin). In 1999, the readers of the english magazine "DJ" voted Paul as the "Best Music Maker". Then, at the 1999 Music Awards in London, he received the "Best international DJ award". The "Ministry of Sound" Magazine elected him as the "Best international DJ", and his regular 6 hour set at "Gatecrasher" was voted as the "second best club night ever" by the readers of the English magazine "Muzik".
His hit singles "Another Way", "Tell Me Why (The Riddle)" and "We Are Alive" spent several weeks at number 1 on the German Dance charts, and also reached number 7 on the UK sales charts. He continuously moved-up in "DJ Magazine's" annual list of the "Top 100 DJ´s worldwide" where he was voted as number 1 DJ of the world in 2005; then in September 1999, "Mixmag" Magazine elected him as "Man of the year" and "Muzik Magazine" named him as "Leader of the Trance Nation".
He is married to Natascha van Dyk, who also appears on some of his releases.

We've had very good music in our childhood in the 70s (4 me esp. disco), the best music in our youth in the 80s and the BEST DANCE🤪 (2 trance😉) in our 20s in the 90s......u just can't get more !!!
And we've known about music styles from the 50s & 60s then as well, so.....i wouldn't ever exchange those 3 decades in my life.....

I remember MTV played some of the songs a lot on Party Zone back in 1993/1994
That was my gateway to many a great discovery as i began my spiritual ascent into dance culture mate :)

I remember this trance and this was trippy and I loved it and I have this on CD and I felt like I was in a different world with this music RIP TRANCE back in 1990-1993 god how I miss those days and music was so cool back then! Has anyone heard of Battle Of The DJS Hit The Decks Volume 1 and Volume 2 those were the best days ever**** I have a huge collection of CDs The Shamen, Art Of Noise, Yello, Opus 3 Mind Fruit, X-MIX Volume 1-3, Capitan Hollywood Project, DJ EASY ROCK ROB BASE, Madonna, Michael Jackson,
Cosmic Baby Stellar Supreme, NOVAMUTE Berlin Trance mixes, Pet Shop Boys, Sunscreem 03, and I miss Tower Records, thats where I got all my music and I also collect soundtracks! Supergirl, Love Stimulation, The 90s had some great Trance hits!
I miss those days and this brings back memories has anyone heard of the Blue Man Group I saw them in Las Vegas they were awsome reminded me of Trance!

PVD just started DJ'ing in 1991 and won't come out with a mix CD until 1993.

@@TonyForsterTF I was referring to the fact this had probably been played/worked previous to 93 if it was released then, meaning that a broader spectrum would be accurate rather than arguing over the date..
@@CyB.N Simple fact: the title is misleading. "X-Mix-1 1991 Paul van Dyk (The MFS-Trip)" ; it should say 1993. Most of the tracks featured did not even exist until 1992/3. So having 1991 in the title is "probably" misleading.
