Everybody is talking about how Pekora started out rather working alone and shy but nobody is talking about how moona's first day in Holoserver she has to rely on Iofi's translation when talking to subaru and watame and generally silent during the whole thing
Feel like Moona experienced way worse than that, like her first collab with Roboco(Apex); her collab with Risu, Miko, Roboco(UNO); and i think she's with Watame, Iofi, Roboco(OverCooked2), the language barrier is wayy too strong that she barely talks and even if she does she either talk to same ID members or saying really few words she knows in japanese, it is just soo hard to watch.. It might looks interesting to watch the other members talking to each other and Moona is just...simply there trying her best, just think if this ever happened to you And i'm soo glad Pekora meets Moona, thank fkin god

I'm maybe too late to see Aqua and Shion Neighboors wars last year, but I'm just in time to see amazing chemistry between The Moon and a rabbit. It's so awesome that these both happen in Minecraft
People are right when they say that this would make a pretty good LN set in a high school. Mischievous loner has a hard time making friends because she is secretly quite shy and is relying on bravado to try and fit in at her new school. It makes her oddly less approachable, despite her actual desire being the opposite. She is the president of the engineering club despite being the only member. Quiet and earnest foreign girl transfers in mid-semester and is even more out of her element. She was always shy, but the language barrier makes her attempts to interact almost suffocating, and she finds herself even lonelier than she was before the move. These girls run into each other by chance, and the older girl accidentally extorts the new girl out of some candy. Despite this, they quickly clear up the misunderstanding, and they find out that despite barely being able to talk, they surprisingly get along well. Thus they find themselves having numerous positive casual encounters, and they slowly grow closer. Paradoxically, the language barrier between them provides just enough distance for them to slowly grow closer as they try and reach across it. And it turns out that the new girl admires her senpai’s engineering skills and cleverness, and finds herself drawn both towards her senpai as well as towards the goal of improving her own skills enough to be proud of. Eventually her senpai notices her kouhai’s secret engineering project, and is super impressed by her skills. And, somehow finding the courage, invites her to join the engineering club. To which the new girl is surprised and very glad, because despite her senpai’s eccentricities, she feels that they belie a sweet and lonely heart just like her own. So they start doing club activities together, and after some funny shenanigans and hijinks, the older girl decides to make her kouhai a gift(personalized shoes) to somewhat apologize for how she can be sometimes clumsy towards her junior because of how used she is to working alone, and also how glad she is to have made her as as a friend. And her kouhai is obviously really happy about this, so she decides to get her senior a gift as well to show that she knows that her senpai’s antics are never out of ill will, and also how happy and thankful she is to have been accepted as a friend despite being kind of quiet and - though to a lesser extent - still kind of hard to communicate with. Her gift is some of the candy that she was innocently extorted out of in the very beginning. Because...to have kept the candy she bought for herself might have been kind of nice(who doesn’t like candy?), but as it happened “being forced to give it away” was, in the end, what allowed her to make a priceless friend. Let’s hope these cute and sweet girls keep getting along! And doing their best!

I said before and I will say it again. Both Moona and Pekora are the introverts from their respective branches. However, when these two are together, they can connect on a such a deep level that only both of them can understand. Pekora even said that she feels more joyful, energetic and more eager to learn whenever Moona is online in Minecraft. Also, noticed how Pekora's English has improved ever since she encountered Moona out of the blue. As for Moona, well her Japanese has also improved albeit using only romaji so far. And her mood as well as her energy has risen from her recent streams involving Pekora. Moona's laughter and "prankster-yandere" attitude has become more sincere and genuine. I'm not really hoping for both Pekora and Moona to "officially colab" because their real characters shine brightly whenever they just happen to stumble one another accidentally like in your videos.
Bad news from 2 years later: They officially collabed, They played together less. Good news from 2 years later: Pekora covered Tuning Love with Moona, both in MV and 3D, Pekora joined a Disney visit with Holo ID gen 1 and Towa, Subaru, she clung arm with Moona when playing rides (albeit out of fear), They made gifts with PekoMoon elements for each other, Pekora confessed that she had one time tidied her house just because she felt Moona may wanted to visit (albeit it didn’t happened), first time she had such idea.
I’m a black Jamaican and I’m close friends with a South Korean and we don’t understand each other but we still don’t let that stop us from having fun with each other
And given the way it's presented, it made me further understand and appreciate the development between these two. Props to Food x Food for taking the time and effort to pull this off and not forgetting to give credit to his sources.
This is better, i don't think they should actually collab for now because it would be really awkward for both, but chatting for both sides payed off well and we get these precious moments from them
I got into Hololive recently so I just started watching Pekora about 3 days ago, and I really love all of the moments I have watched of her and Moona. Thank you for catching me up in full with this duos shenanigans.
I really like the character development between these two, because pekora have social anxiety , and moona is one of the only member in HoloID who couldn't speak japanese fluently. And just by one encounter it kinda change both of them as person. Pekora became a lot more willing to talk to moona by using english, despite not fully understanding it, and moona just found a senpai that would willing to talk to her despite language barrier. I always like to see when a vtuber develop them self not only as a streamer but also as a person, and from this clip it really shows how they really need each other. Also as a person that have social anxiety, i can understand pekora a lot more of how sometimes you just don't want to talk to anyone, because you don't want to annoy them or say something that would lead to misunderstanding, and this just proof that you just need a person that would be willing to listen to you and would be really happy to talk to you. And this part is where i can understand pekora on a deeper level because the same thing happened to me. To anyone that have social anxiety, if you can found one person that would willing to talk to you and listen to you. You should always hold on that friendship for as long as you can because it would make your life a lot more better. Because if this can happen to me and pekora, it can also happen to you XD
After watching their first colab stream the other day, looking back to these moments really puts a big smile on my face. ( *I watched this long time ago and here I am again* )

Friendship surpasses the language barrier. I have this sort of friendship with my best friend. We both speak English as our first language, but being able to hangout sometimes and just chill, not even talking, but still having fun, or just talking a little bit is great. We don't have a ton in common, and I'm super lucky to have her. I haven't seen her in 6 days and I already miss her ;_;
Pekora is always the odd one when alone but always reserved when together (old stream) So seeing pekora still wacky even with someone , is just making me tears (´；ω；｀)

I said before and I will say it again. Both Moona and Pekora are the introverts from their respective branches.
However, when these two are together, they can connect on a such a deep level that only both of them can understand. Pekora even said that she feels more joyful, energetic and more eager to learn whenever Moona is online in Minecraft. Also, noticed how Pekora's English has improved ever since she encountered Moona out of the blue.
As for Moona, well her Japanese has also improved albeit using only romaji so far. And her mood as well as her energy has risen from her recent streams involving Pekora. Moona's laughter and "prankster-yandere" attitude has become more sincere and genuine.
I'm not really hoping for both Pekora and Moona to "officially colab" because their real characters shine brightly whenever they just happen to stumble one another accidentally like in your videos.
I agree unexpected meeting of those two was so much fun and exciting.

Good news from 2 years later:
Pekora covered Tuning Love with Moona, both in MV and 3D,
Pekora joined a Disney visit with Holo ID gen 1 and Towa, Subaru, she clung arm with Moona when playing rides (albeit out of fear),
They made gifts with PekoMoon elements for each other,
Pekora confessed that she had one time tidied her house just because she felt Moona may wanted to visit (albeit it didn’t happened), first time she had such idea.
I love this video so much! If you look closely you can see the exact moment that "Hey Moona" becomes a genuine extension of friendship

This is like a really touching documentary.
And given the way it's presented, it made me further understand and appreciate the development between these two. Props to Food x Food for taking the time and effort to pull this off and not forgetting to give credit to his sources.
This is better, i don't think they should actually collab for now because it would be really awkward for both, but chatting for both sides payed off well and we get these precious moments from them

I really like the character development between these two, because pekora have social anxiety , and moona is one of the only member in HoloID who couldn't speak japanese fluently. And just by one encounter it kinda change both of them as person.
Pekora became a lot more willing to talk to moona by using english, despite not fully understanding it, and moona just found a senpai that would willing to talk to her despite language barrier.
I always like to see when a vtuber develop them self not only as a streamer but also as a person, and from this clip it really shows how they really need each other. Also as a person that have social anxiety, i can understand pekora a lot more of how sometimes you just don't want to talk to anyone, because you don't want to annoy them or say something that would lead to misunderstanding, and this just proof that you just need a person that would be willing to listen to you and would be really happy to talk to you. And this part is where i can understand pekora on a deeper level because the same thing happened to me.
To anyone that have social anxiety, if you can found one person that would willing to talk to you and listen to you. You should always hold on that friendship for as long as you can because it would make your life a lot more better. Because if this can happen to me and pekora, it can also happen to you XD

I have this sort of friendship with my best friend.
We both speak English as our first language, but being able to hangout sometimes and just chill, not even talking, but still having fun, or just talking a little bit is great.
We don't have a ton in common, and I'm super lucky to have her.
