Whats is the point of UE 5 for this piece of crap if 15 years old strategies with much ancient engines look way more better in every aspect? Is this some kind of an insult to rts players or just a lazy cashgrap?
@@Bashka91 Cry less thx. The look is ok but jeah nothing if you are hyperfixated on realistic graphic since its comicish graphic like in warcraft and not semirealistic like in SC2. And also it plays sooo good. Really funny that people like you hinder themself to play this game and have fun because they insist on shittalking the game at all costs lol
PiG you're a great entertainer and its very enjoyable watching you play rts games because its easy for me to learn from the way you play. This is exaxtly what i needed. Everyone have a great day, and God Bless.
Interesting that this feels closer to Nydus Worms (except you can't attack and retreat) than it does Warp Prism (which would probably be much harder to deal with in this game). You really need good vision around your bases to snipe the structure as it builds.
New mechanics not new ideas. The game mechanics are great, obviously units being beefier and dealing less damage Is great for example. But how hard was it to think of something different than space humans, protoss and demons which we've seen thousands of times already. I can think of better races ideas in 2 minutes, can't believe they couldn't. On top of that the art director is awful, trying to play it safe with those plastic graphics, can't create a single memorable unit. It's just a failure when it comes to looks and identity and the art director is entirely responsible for that. He did awful, but when you look at his work it was kinda predictable he would fail at this task. It's just all around bland
celestial is a super cool concept..on paper.. the cheeses that are possible with this floating building shit is insane. im all for all stradegys but this is just to much. im sure after balances and everything itll be alot easier to defend but celestials will always be the cheese race and this is what you should expect every game for at least a year.
I'm about 1800 but I dunno if I've just been lucky. Whenever I got rushed I used a mixture of sovereigns watch + being willing to give up bases and players seemed confused/slow to punish the fast expos. After watching the tournament this weekend I'd say you HAVE to open creation chamber first vs Infernal, not sure about vs Vanguard
lol one of my first games today neuro did that to me, even started with "I'm sorry in advance, someone just did this to me" and I'm like oh common he's too nice whatever this is will be EASY to defend with warning. Queue me staring at my overcharge realising it doesn't shoot buildings 30 seconds later going "Oh... shit..."
it's not nearly as polished as SC2 yet, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air with a lot of fun things going for it. No harm in giving it a go and seeing if you like it. If you don't wanna spend any money it's free in 13 days
it's 100+ 350 to build the morph core + the collection array vs 450 to build the collection array. The difference is the morph core builds structures much faster, so you're essentially pre-building the structure with your first 100 luminite
5 channels for different audiences that are interested in different content. RTS and strategy fans are incredibly picky and particular about the games they watch, especially for esports. So putting 3-4 different games pro matches + gameplay all on one channel will just confuse the algorithm as only 1/3 or 1/4 viewers will have any chance of being interested in each video. This way if you're interested in a certain game that I'm covering a lot - you sub to and watch that channel and the algorithm will naturally recommend you those videos.
Each base is only worth about half a regular base (until you put a bunch of prisms on it). It's definitely very committed since I'm not unlocking any other tech and stop building prisms (miners) pretty early
Nah, it's not even close to a 3 base economy without prisms. It's also not sustainable, 2 prisms on one therium location will run it out fast. And you gotta land your morph core in the base unnoticed, otherwise you're basically screwed, you have no real follow-up plan.
@@eduardoserpa1682everything is cheese to bad players. Part of RTS is trying to prepare for anything your opponent will throw at you. If that's difficult, maybe try another genre?
@@rwentfordable Why the fuck you think I'm saying cheese is bad? Cheese is a neutral term, they're just strategies that deviate from safe standard play, so they're specially vulnerable to common counterplay (scouting, timing attacks, defensive play, detection).
There's a post on the Stormgate subreddit that projected 45 different possible scenarios for Frost Giant's financials and it doesn't look pretty. Almost all of them result in FG running out of money in 6-8 months.
@HighLanderPonyYT Sorry things aren't looking up for the game you've been simping for over the last 4 years. The Steam reviews are brutal, the financial situation is dire...maybe time to find another game to simp for my man.
Tim Morten has already publically stated regarding that post "Those projections were wildly inaccurate". And i believe him; simply given that as the CEO, along with startengine, and investor contracts...he legally can't make false statements about financials (lest he open up lawsuits galore). The fact he made a public statement at all shows how confident he is, because if they even have a hint of accuracy to them...investors would smack FG and him hard. So an interesting post, but all rampant speculation.
Where would I find these games? I could have banked up hundreds of low quality casts 6 months ago in the last public beta and slowly released them, but I figured 1) they wouldn't reflect modern balance changes and 2) the quality of those casts would probably suffer since I'd be prioritising quantity over quality. Now that the game's in early access and completely public I plan to release consistent content. For now it'll be on a daily basis
I feel like streamers and youtubers have a responsibility not to glorify and promote cheese especially before anyone can even play the game yet, because that's the kinda stuff that makes newcomers quit. Great look to have people concocting ways to make unfun games before people can even play.
Some kindsa rushes definitely are cheese but that's not the problem. The point is the content creator going 'woah look at this cheese bro so cool it's just like the old days'.
I'm more concerned with their responsibility to not selfishly push bad games in the hopes of making more ad revenue down the road. Maybe it will take losing viewers for them to see this strategy was a mistake.
@@blackomega34 Steam decided. 50% negative reviews. And this is from the most ardent supporters of the game - the ones who supported on Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Yay PiG is back on Stormgate!
Awesome use of celestial mechanics. Seems like a faction with lots of space for creative players to explore.
Thanks Pig! Loving what I've seen from Stormgate so far, can't wait for final release
Seems like a proper way to use Celestial's mobility
So they reallt couldnt have come up with anything more original then terran, protoss and demons? Cmon
But at least the story and graphics are good right?
