Oh what I'd give to relive the 60's. The memories, the fashion, the music. Nothing has even come close since. The time of my life

1969!! This brings back some good memories. I was 15 when this was played on the radio and Top of the Pops.

this song was originally written by the most creative italian musical genius: Lucio Battisti. it's an honour for an italian songwriter to reach the succes in the country that create rock music.

What is the worst thing about getting old? Remembering what it was like when you were young..

Usually covers were made of English songs translated into Italian. This is one of the few examples of a cover of an Italian song translated into English.

Agree with Mick Stevenson...fantastic days that will never be replicated.

This song was played at my dad's funeral and as a music lover I am embarrassed to say I wasn't aware of the song but it's got to be one of the greatest songs of all time. I wish I was around in the 60s

How in the bloody hell did music go from this, to the unbelievable crap we have today?

  • @peterschwarz8835

  • @DelMorgan-bk4vz

One of the great guitarists, and the most underrated of guitarists, George Harrison, and Eric Clapton, both wanted this guy as their right-hand guy, on guitar!

Not many people know that this song was originally written by the Italians Mogol and Battisti. Initially the song had no success in Italy. Then the Italian pop singer Patty Pravo heard this English version and, not even knowing about the Italian origin of the song, decided to record an Italian version of it that became a huge hit. Just search Patty Pravo Paradiso in youtube.

This was way before my time. But it's a perfect example of why I'm convinced 1965-1970 was the best period for music, ever. Will that kind of magic ever be repeated?
