You have to look back to when he was with Amen Corner to realise how good they were compared to other groups of the time......They were one of a kind and stood out as pure class
Another brilliant artist from my youth brings back the best memories you still have it Andy xx
This guy is so underated. he is a great guitarist, a great singer and one of my favourites and I was around when the originals were released ( scary )
"and I was around when the originals were released" too... ( thrilling! ) (⌒▽⌒)
Bully for you@@jiji1946
He is sooo not underrated...
sounds as good as when I listened as a teenager.
Agreed!
No, one key lower now,
Hearing this fab song again and sung by this great bloke as brought tears to my eyes ,WOW how special xxx long live the 60s era Those were the days lol x
Cream always rises to the top, thanks Andy for the music of my teenage years and ever since.👍👍
late to the party , happy to be here .
A few years ago at Glastonbury, AFL played the Accoustic Tent with Paul Carrick and Nick Lowe. They were good but AFL was brilliant and stole the last 20 minutes of a 60 minute set. The audience just loved it- me included!
Memories, memories….thanks Andy , you really are one of the greats
Saw Amen Corner perform this live for a Radio Show in Manchester in 1967. His voice hasn't changed much in all those years.
Wow. Just so beautiful.
This is as good as it gets. Absolutely sublime performance.
Great song, great band, Andy gave us really excellent performance.
Andy asked me to dance in a small club Tiles in Oxford St in London. I was a teenager so nervous and shy. Thank you. I will always treasure the memory.
@sonia chandler.....lovely memory, lovely story, lovely song :)
Yes
I met him too. So lovely, friendly, humble. Someone in the retirement home (I kid you not) they were rehearsing in said to him 'Andy Fairweather Low? I'm surprised he's not dead!' and he said 'Me too!'
Andy has still got it, I fell in love with him when I was 15🥰
Me too
I'm sure he's a geordie
I think he is welsh
@@julianprice65 he is he lives in Cardiff he’s my uncle
Born in Ystrad Mynach, South Wales.
Brilliant and still relevant after all these years
Seeing him in concert on Sunday, a real hero from back in the day where we had real musicians
No comments were able to be made on the bbc documentary so I thought this is just as good as anywhere…what an absolutely brilliant lovely man Mr Fairweather Low seems to be could listen to him talking about his life as a musician for hours…I like many others loved him when he hit our ears as 13yo…hopefully he won’t stop…thank you Andy
One of my favourites, remember Amen corner well
Great performance. And he's such a nice bloke.
A Fellow Welsh Man which I never knew in the Day and this still sounds the same you just had more Hair Andy in the Day !!!!

I was there. Great gig.
What an incredible song
Great song.. lovely remember when it was in the charts..just about
Brilliant, I was 14 when this was released and I have loved it ever since. Easily in my top 10 greatest pop songs 👍
So amazing! Havn't seen him live yet but really really want to! Also such a nice guy with no airs or graces. Just down to earth and real. May you keep on rocking for years to come Andy.
I just saw him on Thursday with Eric Clapton, he was amazing!
That was great... such a good song.
Mint lovely sound, keep up the good work
What a back up band !
He gets better as he gets older!
Fantastic song, reminds me of being 10 years old.
Saw AFL with Bill Wyman (and Geraint Watkins on keys!) couple of years ago. Great gig
What’s the matter with you audience this performance is so heavenly nice at least half as nice why no 145K views ????
Have loved AFL since Amen Corner Days at Youth Club ( Gin House Blues was closing record ) . Got to see him last year at Middlesbrough Town Hall in The Crypt . Amazing . His roadie took me to my seat after his wife who sold the cds told him about me being a fan & then he got me Andy's autograph :)
He is still excellent.
Brilliant 👍
A great song by the great Italian composer and singer Lucio Battisti...
I loved this song xxx
incredible performance
Superb
You was my birthday number 1 if Michael price was half as nice as this song 😊
Fantastic !!! I always loved this song, and the way he plays n’ sing !!! He’s cool 🥰
Keep going, you are fab. Xx
Brilliant, takes me back to my college days. Well done Andy
One of the best guitarists ever !!!
Hmmm thats a bit of a stretch
@@stevenaustin8274 Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Joe Satriani, BB King and many more have employed him to play guitar with them.
I think that he's pretty good. The trouble is most people think that good guitarists are fast and flash. A good guitarist is someone that plays to suit the song, is reliable, doesn't make mistakes and doesn't behave like a prima Donna.
He is still gorgeous I was do in love with him when I was about 15 fabulous singer still love him
Brilliant as ever 🎸🎸🎸😍
Talent is forever!
Was very fortunate to see Andy at Nantwich Blues Festival some years back. Small venue. One of the best gigs I ever attended.
I have my tickets for Kinross Scotland 3 rd try as cancelled last 2 years due to Covid so excited
He's still got it 😊
Oh my gosh, this makes me cry....
Lucio Battisti 😘Great Andy! A cool version! Very super!
My introduction to this song and Andy's wonderful singing was the Cassette called The Immediate Singles. I saw the liner notes for the Nice (Nice) Azreal Keith Emerson apologizing for detuning the strings on the piano before Amen Corner's session. I bought this around 1984.
Excellent.
Great band .
Absolutely fantastic, many thanx
A musical great.
When i meet him genuine he says as it is wot ever
Great singer
Brilliant first left handed drum set up I have seen!
What a lovely bloke ,hugely talented and funny too, great sense of humour and clearly enjoys it ,keep at it Andy!
Still love him 💛
This guy is so good!
Magic!
Voice pretty much the same as it was back then, Brilliant !
Incredible, simply Incredible. What a song!
This bought me to tears🥰
Top man Andy. Seen him a couple of times with Eric Clapton and saw Amen Corner as a teenager but he just gets better with age!
You make me smile Andy...x
If I was one of the good people of Darwin, I think I would have been bopping around with a tad more enthusiasm. Andy and the band sound fabulous
He makes it all look easy.
Great memories of seeing Andy performing this live in Scarborough in the late 60s.
Fantastic
Great stuff. I remember this one.
Wow ! Takes me back, absolutely brilliant.
Very nice.. watching it at jools Holland ... Love the lyrics
Great doing Andy 👍Thank you👏
Very very good Andy ! Still got it .😊
That surprised me, Andy is quite a good guitar player, I seem to think of him as just the singer, you learn something everyday, thoroughly enjoyed it.
He's been hired and worked for some of the greats like Eric Clapton. He's an amazing guitar player.
God be with the days.
Damn amazing song, really is. 👍🎧👍 nz
Just thought of Andy this morning & U tube this 😀 👍 great song & always 👌 loved as a child . Thanks Andy. 😊
Sometimes the legends are stearing us in the face and we dont realise it
Love this.
Got to see Amen Corner live at the Boston 65 or 66. They were very good Band live
Fantastic as expected from andy
Legend!!
Just as good as it was originally
Magnificent.
Andy is as good on a guitar as any of the greats from his era.
He's worked with most of them so that says it all. If Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck hire you that speaks volumes about your ability.
@@craiglewis6145l just saw him with Clapton on Sunday and he was tremendous!
@@robplante8631 fantastic!
Classic
Great to see Andy still doing this song,i got it when this first came out,omg seems so long ago now. Well done mate.
Bloody brilliant!
Superb version!
Lovin the keys...
Re my original comment "Saw Amen Corner perform this live for a Radio Show in Manchester in 1967" According to the Internet they didn't release it until 1969 but we saw them when I was still in the sixth form so it must have been 1968.
I love this song. I always did.
