Added text to mention the Steel Hellkite mistake, hopefully the comments can chill out a bit. I was on-site, I missed it, I misinformed Libby of how it worked. I have watched this game probably 20 times, and I am confident it didn't change the outcome, just the manor in which it happened. You are welcome to say what you want about my ability to read cards, but I will not tolerate negative comments directed at other players.
It doesn't matter the manner in which it affected things as nobody involved was too upset.
People need to learn it's okay to be angry, but the feeling you can lash out at others should've been quelled by the time you enter 1st Grade.

I also dont think bernard gave the gnomes +2/+2 bc they arent golemns or food tokens so there was some math that couldve changed the outcomr of the game as well

Commander is not an super easy game mode, is a lot of text in a lot of cards, mistakes happens and its fine, the important part is the fun we have, and boy are this videos so much fun to watch!
I really appreciate you guys being so transparent about the Hellkite mistake. These things happen and if anything it paints a realistic view of what playing commander actually can be like. I think this game was a good showcase of how politics evolve from certain board states and I am confident as well, it wouldn't have changed the result. People need to chill a bit. Love that you make games like this possible with guests flying in from over the pond and I would love to see more them. Great format and keep the good vibes going - really appreciate your effort @CGB bringing quality content to us mere viewers
The one rule you follow when playing against Brenard. Don't "Let him Cook" , never let him Cook. Cool pop off by ash, like the soul cauldron on mondrak to give indestructible ability to brenard.

Giving the Gnome tokens +2/+2 when they weren’t supposed to have it definitely had an impact but mistakes happen and it was a good game regardless. Glad to watch it twice.

I had a general rule question about 13:43 - when a creature enters the battlefield tapped and attacking, does it trigger its attack trigger when it ETB mid combat? I was thinking attack triggers only trigger when you declare attacks (such as when kaalia brought the master of cruelties in)
You are correct.
I think, that it works because he needs to be unblocked. So it must trigger after blockers are declared and not at the beginning of combat?
Comprehensive Rules quote:
509.5g An ability that reads “Whenever [a creature] attacks and isn’t blocked, . . .” triggers if no creatures are declared as blockers for that creature. It will trigger even if the creature was never declared as an attacker (for example, if it entered the battlefield attacking). It won’t trigger if the attacking creature is blocked and then all its blockers are removed from combat.
So the Master of Cruelties ability would definitely happen even though it entered attacking via Kaalia.

38:30 Question: Why can the Cauldron give the Ability that puts an indestructible counter on "Mondrak, Glory Dominus" to a different creature? Since it doesn't say "this", shouldn't the counter be targeted at a non-existent "Mondrak, Glory Dominus"?
I'm assuming there's a ruling I don't know about, so I am hoping that someone would feel like explaining this to me :)
Almost any creature activated ability works with the Cauldron, doesn't matter if the ability states the cards name in it or not. The tricky part is not mistaking triggered abilities with activated abilities.
There is a rule regarding named abilities given to a creature other than the named creature, it just basically replaces the name with the name of the creature that gains the ability.
201.5b If an ability of an object refers to that object by name, and an object with a different name gains that ability, each instance of the first name in the gained ability that refers to the first object by name should be treated as the second name.
Example: Quicksilver Elemental says, in part, “{U}: Quicksilver Elemental gains all activated abilities of target creature until end of turn.” If it gains an ability that says “{G}: Regenerate Cudgel Troll,” activating that ability will regenerate Quicksilver Elemental, not the Cudgel Troll it gained the ability from.

There are 2 possible ways that the error affected the outcome of the game... one is I do not think that the table would have ganged up as much against Kaalia on such a united front; and there might be more mothman rad counters to distribute; which may affect later draws.
But again, if everyone had a good time, then it doesn't really matter much.

Honestly, I've wrongly called out mistakes on WPCS a couple of times, so I'm not gonna be the one to hold contempt over it. I just feel bad for Shea, though.
Crazy game. I've been watching the channel for probably almost two years, but I have to say it's nice seeing newer faces at the table. Also...I'm basic, so my favorite cookie is chocolate chip
I was a little worried the whole channel was going members only.
I was halfway through watching the original when I was kicked from the video. Disappointed to see it was listed as member only after the fact and had to wait almost a week to watch almost all of it again!

Yeah, the kaalia problem. It was one of my first decks. And i loved it. I invested a lot in it, most card foil or special artwort. But when you bring kaalia, you bring the beef. Prepare to be the problem, so hit hard or go home. Theres not much beside it. So reelfast its 3 against 1. I feel the game. And besides mistakes i love the mixup with new faces.

I think something else got missed, and I don't see it in the comments. Ashlizzle had her copy of consuming aberration and cast at least a few spells but the others didn't mill. Not that it mattered, and not complaining, just that I love that card.

My custom Mothman deck is my favorite deck. I would love to see Shea play it more please. Everyone makes mistakes. Doesn't matter as long as everyone has fun.

It was so annoying that people complained about that thing. I didn't even watch the video because of that...this is not a competitive game, missplays happen.

I hate kaalia of the vast for the reason of that master of cruelties combo. My LGS there is a player who only plays this but will play things that tutor for the master and give protection from a color so it always hits. I have a deck that I built to counter it any time I play that person.

Honestly, I prefer a commander with the original team: fair play,better vibes, friendly behaviours and more confident attitude in front of camera. Also, I felt to much “rage” and vengeance behind fake smiles towards kaalia deck.

Fun game, but to many misplays that heavily affected the outcome of the game. Need a judge on hand at all times it seems🤷♂️
if you put master of cruelties into play using kaalia's ability, his ability does not happen. He has to actually attack. it is the same as myriad copies not triggering attack triggers.

The master of cruelties ability only activates when it attacks not when it comes in attacking.
Not true, the trigger happens during the “declares blockers” step so it would still trigger when coming in tapped and attacking.
