    Woow. We moved into a house a few months ago with these plants and they are all brown and dead looking now. I thought we would need to pull them out, but so glad I watched this!! Now i know what i should do instead.

      Very cool, and congrats on the new house. After cutting them down to the grade, they will grow fresh and beautifully next spring.
      Enjoy your weekend. 😁👍

      Good morning ☕️
      Thank you so much for watching. This is one of our favorite flowering shrubs we have.
      It is called Azalea. This is a perennial plant and blooms only once a year. As we come off the winter season, the plant begins it’s transition to spring life.
      Once it blooms in May, the pink flowers are extremely bright and strikingly beautiful. The pink flowers dry up around mid June and the plant remains healthy and green until the next spring, where it will then bloom again. 😁👍
      Many more helpful videos to come.

    I have an indoor hosta! I believe it’s a francee. Do I cut it down like this too?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  10 місяців тому +1

      Good morning ☕️
      Being inside, has the plant began to show any signs of transition into drying up and preparing itself for the next season or is it still healthy and strong?
      If the hosts has transitioned to its fall colors, it’s time to cut. 👍

      @@DIYwithMichaelBorders I just noticed the scape has incrementally turned yellow! Everything else is still green. That’s why I began researching.

      Thanks for the reply, it’s likely that the plant is ready for the transition. We recommend cutting. 😎👍
