This was one of the shortest but for me, the most informative videos I've watched yet. I now know for sure I need to move two of my plants in an area with more shade. Thanks!
I do nothing. They grow back every year with a vengeance. I have a flat roof home, two years ago I dumped 2 foot of leaves on them, they grew through that too. Nothing kills them.
wow that is amazing and exciting. Do you have them labled or noted where each diff of the 100 are located or do they just hang out?? Oh and did you buy them all or were some shared with you???
I had never heard of Hostas until today and have learned that the shoots, leaves, and flowers are edible, as it so happens. Shoots evidently tastes like asparagus. I'm chkg to see which ones will work best in my sunny, hot So. Texas yard.
Hi can you tell me in size which is the bigger to the smaller between hosta august lily, sugar and spice and first Frost . I'm getting conflicting info from different sites on their size. Just trying to decide which one to plant where. Thankyou
Yes. You can pretty much divide them all Spring, Summer and into early Autumn. They don’t need many roots. Dig up, divide, move to a shady area & water. Get finished before the ground freezes so roots have time to regenerate.

We are so happy to hear that, Sara!
Agree!

I love hostas. I have over 100 and over 40 varieties.

Pro tip: you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Milo James Definitely, I've been watching on flixzone for months myself :D

I bet it’s beautiful! I counted the other day and I have 14 kinds. I don’t know how this happened!
Would have been nice to hear what to do about the flowers.
Nice one , love hosta plants

Did you try Hostas? They do not prefer full sun, most people seek them out because their yard has deep shade where nothing else will grow.
Great video
We've had ours in full sun for years and I wanted more to put next to the old am I'm learning they need shade. I'm not sure what to do 😁😁😁
find shaded spot and move them add water or use umbrellas and create a hosta mini garden with shade made by man. It works.
Move them. They're beautiful in shade.
@@alisonbumstead4745 yeah, now I notice the sun damage and I'm sad. Trying to figure out where to move them.
If they’re in a sunny area, just be sure to give them even more water. They already like lots of water, those in the sun need even more water.
Thank you this is great

Nice...great info thanks 🌱
I would like to plant hostas! Welcome to my channel with garden tips and funny videos!
If you have a hosta we can be friends, if you don't I'll give you a start.😁
Do you use fertilizer? Which one ? Thank you!
I use Miracle Gro All Purpose. They seem to like it.
Well done.
It is still spring and my few Hosta's have grown leaves, can I still divide them? The are stuck together

Snails do no harm. Slugs do.
