  • Alex and Anna are among IVF patients and doctors in Canberra who say the ACT's new assisted reproduction technology laws are making it "near impossible" to conceive with donated sperm.
    A donor registry was introduced to protect the wellbeing of donor-conceived people but it is now pushing women to travel interstate to fall pregnant.
    ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has defended the legislation but is pushing to extend the six-month transition period which was due to lapse at the end of September.
