- hello! today we are up in beautiful western michigan riding bicycles on a gorgeous day. join me and mr scootlady on our ride, while i chat with you along the way. blue skies, birds chirping, woohoo for spring! we begin at the muskegon lake nature preserve and ride into town ending at the exchange coffee bar. let's get riding!

Enjoyed the scoot Mrs. and Mr. "Scoot Lady." Beautiful area there in Michigan where you're visiting! Also love the narration. I really think it adds to the video. Unfortunately, the wind noise doesn't help and I've never found a good way to stop that. In your type of video I think that will always become an issue because of your movement either scooting or biking, etc. Maybe, music in parts and narration in other's? That's what I try to do on the occasions where wind noise is an issue. Loved riding along with you both!
thank you dave & kathy! we love coming up to this part of michigan. normally i wear my camera on my chest and it helps muffle the wind noise. i was curious to see what would happen here with the camera further from my mouth for the talking and without the protection of my bosom 😂 i'm keeping an eye out for your latest update on your mom. sending my best! 🛴❤️

Wow, the bike ride in Michigan looks AMAZING! 🚴♀🚴♂ That Nature Reserve seems peaceful, even with the lack of greenery this time of year 🌸 Shame about the trail closure! 😬 Loved seeing the kayakers out on the water too!🛶 Hope those Redwing blackbirds don't get too feisty 😅😅 That little downtown looks so cute! Wish I could try that ice cream 🤤🤤

Hello to both of you! Lola mentioned this lake. She used to live in Grand Haven , she said this 15 miles away. A black bird went after me at NW campus once, lol. It might be wonky angle but I can see the beautiful clouds .Happy wave and smile before coffee!!
we drive right through grand haven. i love that she knows the area. i've been planning to ride down there for an episode. perhaps there is somewhere she'd like to see? seriously, those birds are scary protective! hope you're having an awesome day, ij! 🛴❤️
@scootladychicago She said she can't recall a park that she wants to see, but she wants to see her old house on 612 Pennoyer St. lol. It's on a hill. And she mentioned a musical fountain in the evening, but I'm not sure if it's still going now, I think it's on Washington st across from the City Hall ?

Looked a fun ride out. Pity the ride on the boards was blocked off but still plenty of other interesting routes. I have a cheap solution for your wind noise on your GoPro if interested. In fact I need to get out on my bike to test some of my mic equipment as I still had some wind noise on my recent hiking trip tho it was super windy in parts. Good to see you out on the bike and exploring Michigan. Is it an electric bike. I only have the old fashioned pedal ones 😊
thank you paul! i still am not sure why it was blocked as we got to the same place via the other route. i don't have an e-bike. so if i'm ever biking, it's on a pedal bike. when you try it, bring the right mount. 🤣
what's your cheap solution for the wind? usually i have the camera strapped to my chest and that helps block out some of the wind noise. i've seen the little puffy things that you can stick, but until this one really hadn't a need for it.

hiya owen! hoping you are sleeping soundly as i reply. visible spring will be there soon. it's usually 3-4 weeks behind chicago, and we're really getting springy here. i don't use an filters, the gp12 handles that direct sun in an amazing way. i'm guessing that's why you asked? but if not, i'd love to know. thank you as always for the support! 🛴❤️
