First off, I really enjoy these videos. They really give a taste of Egypt from your own home. Second, a couple of interesting things: 1) Within 20 years of Ramesses VI's death, Egypt as a whole had declined to a point where the royal tomb builders plundered many of the royal tombs, including this one. Good news: During the extension of this tomb under Ramesses VI, the tomb builders inadvertently buried the entrance to the tomb of Tutankhamun, effectively protecting the tomb from ensuing tomb robbing. As a result, Tutankhamun's tomb is the most intact tomb in the Valley.
Two years ago I had a trip to Egypt and walked down into this tomb and saw others in the valley of the Kings it was amazing the colours looked liked they had just been painted and to think they are so old
Remarkable. Even if I were there, I doubt I would have gotten a better view of this tomb than that that provided by this vid. Armchair travelling at its best.
I have been in this tomb and it is truly magnificent , later that day I also got to go in Nefertaris tomb, totally mind blowing , if they open it again it is a must,
A lot of the tomb robbing was actually done in antiquity. I get why people would go and rob them, especially thinking what benefit do these jewels of this gold have for a dead man when they could be sold to benefit a living one, but I couldn’t do something like smash the sarcophagus itself. It was likely smashed because it was too heavy for the robbers to move to access the jewels on the body. Unfortunate, but it happens.
thank you Richard , a really great video and a very good explanation , sadly very few people actually notice that these walls contain detailed directions for the dead pharaoh to navigate the journey to the underworld heavenly paradise , how very sad so very few people seem interested in following these instructions to locate this heaven;ly paradise , thankfully gid it wont take long until the exerts actually examine these texts and discover exactly where the dead pharoah wanted to go and why it seems they were unable to make this journey after the old kingdom period ,until eventually it became a distant mythological journey as time passed , now that we all have wonderful and easy access to these '' maps '' and instructions , hopefully it wont be much longer until the experts actually reconstruct the texts to reveal the location of the ancient Egyptian heavenly paradise .
Awesome! I just dreamed about it (few years ago)-watch the HD video with visual information codes from the something like Egyptian` pyramids! Greate thank you! :)

Hello No there is no water in the tombs, occasionally there is a large vertical shaft intended to prevent intruders and to catch floodwater. Kind regards Richard
What a beautiful tomb. Wish it was mine. I saw a book about this tomb at a university library and I didn't know why there was a book on a minor king's tomb like that. Now I see why. It was full of information on the walls. I never had time to look at the book. It wasn't bound, but mostly a stack of pages from an archive.
I came here because of Courage the Cowardly Dog. And I want to know if he really is based on this King Ramses. The real King Ramses. And if it is then going into this tomb knowing about the episode King Ramses Curse I’m sure anyone would immediately get the shivers down their spine. And even though I am terrified to think about what happened in Courage. Just our of curiosity I want to know what would happen if the slab was stolen from this place if the slab even exists.
I ❤ Egyptology ‼ However, this video did not impress me. King Tut RULES....... A boy king👑 who wasn't very important in history 3,200 years ago. Captivates me the most.
Hi The tombs all have fluorescent lighting in it which operates at a similar frequency to the video rate - this is what has caused the flickering which has been minimised as much as possible. Professional filmmakers have paid a lot for exclusive use of the tomb with short periods of proper lighting to alleviate this effect. kind regards Richard
Why does everyone think thia shot was robbed in antiquities lmfao...odds are it was world war 1 because germany was in African and namely egypt especially during world war 1 and tons of ancient egyptian artifacts and gold were found in nazi germany after world war 2
Hi richard This tomb was excavated in 1820, that is the debris that had accumulated over 2500 years removed. It is doubtful that anyone would have removed all the stones and dirt that had entered the tomb and left all valuables behind. Kind regards Richard
@@richardarkley3863 I wasnt referring to this tomb in particular it's just that nobody takes into account that germany was in egypt during world war 1 and later after world war two TONS of ancient egyptian artifacts were found in nazi germany including sculptures amd statues and paintings/art and gold

What is really annoying is that someone could go into these beautiful places and smash it up for some cash
