Lemmo is a full on rock star,, he'll be snatched up by some band like Phil X was and we'll all say we remember him on norms ,, he makes me reach for my offset telemaster copy
It's nice to see someone playing all kinds of music on vintage guitars and not only blues licks or solos that I personnally find a bit boring... Thank you Lemmo!
low frets and 008s are my choice for 54 years now. My 66 Guild Starfire and 96 Japan Fender Jag have low frets... love 'em. Its what used to be standard. This is one fantastic Jag... ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
Gorgeous guitar! I also love a Lake placid, or Sonic blue fender Jag. I'm defiantly not a fan of Red on cars or guitars, but a few of the early 1960, 1961 era Fender offsets came in Fiesta Red *With a factory Red Tortoise shell pickguard. Those rare few are hands down the best looking Jags & Jazzmaster's ever made...imo. Lemmo's fiesta red road dog is so sweet though, something about Jaguars really works with Red- where I think all Stratocaster's look lame in red (except Gary Moore's 61 fiesta that's faded to salmon hue. To say otherwise would be guitar blasphemy) Search UA-cam for his performance of "Red House" at Fender's 50th anniversary concert. If you're a Strat player, It'll make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. Masterful performance
It's Crazy but I've never been a fan of the JazzMaster or the Jaguar, but I have to say that this Candy Apple Baby is GORGEOUS!!! Also, when in your hands Michael, you Really bring out ALL of its Beauty. Much LOVE to ALL there at Norms, I've been with you from the Beginning, well were 6 months into covid 19 and still no End in sight.... 🎸💚
Lemmo has an old guitar soul, he really has an ear for the retro guitar vibes. You could easily see him playing guitar for a band like the Doors or Jefferson Airplane. Or doing session work on a 70s Bowie album. He would just be killing it on his Jazzmaster and Mustang. I’d love to see Lemmo and Johnny Marr do a jam session and see how they would mesh.
sure wish you guys would pick a charity and record some of the impromptu jams that break out and release them.. Love the "non studio" sound... unpracticed just pure talent.. a quick intro as to who is playing and then music... the music stands on it's own..
Hmm, Candy Apple Red or Lake Placid Blue on a Jag with a matching headstock... but no neck binding or giant block inlays... CBS added some odd ideas to these offsets... Edit: the neck pickup song had Sonic Youth vibes to it... I liked it.
I'd like to apologize to anyone, if I had offended anybody. I'm truly sorry, I did not mean anything by my comments. From now on, I will keep my thoughts to myself. Thank you and have a great weekend.
That last song’s really reminiscent of Dua Lipa’s song, “Break My Heart”. BTW, this might be one of Michael’s best “Guitar of the Day” episodes. What do y’all think?
That rendition of The Strokes’ Hard To Explain was awesome
What strokes song is this???
@@alancastellon9225 i don't know....it's kinda hard to explain
Thanks for the INXS cover much appreciated here down under.

More switches and knobs means the mad scientist Lemmo powers up.
TRUTH

I don't care what anyone else thinks, but I am just gonna come out and say it : I like how this man plays guitar 👍🏻
He likes you too...💋👉🏼👌
The Culprit Frank Stallone you would know, you’re in the shop almost as much as he is.. and he works there lol
Could have listened to you play this jag for an hour
16:25 Lemmo uses a Line6 JM4 looper! Same as I do! That's exactly where similarities end....
Third song sounds like Placebo. Also, I love how he can nail two guitar parts when playing Strokes. 👏🏻
What song
@@Xerces7 hard to explain
@@lachlananderson3820 Name Song 9:00?
to be honest this is a cool fiddle but that one that viewer bought ya Lemmo is probably the coolest one that's ever been featured
This ones cleaner
ronnynast but the other ones cooler
amen- GASing for a fiesta jag with matching headstock. like Lemmo said, it’s “so California”
Fender's are so good
Epiphones are not good enough
true, they're almost like cheaper Gibsons
Barry Soetoro they are good enough just like the modern Mexican fenders are. Squire is okay too.
I keep coming back to them. Whenever I sell one of my Strats or another model, it’s less than a year or so before I’m looking for another one.
This was one of my favorite episodes with the stuff in between and the little interactions! These videos are free?! Crazy right.
Lemmo your making us all love Jaguars!!
Nobody rocks a red Jaguar like my man Lemmo!
Loving the Aussie rock, go Lemmo, playin some INXS!!
I liked before watching... JAGUAR 🐆
Greatest GOTD Ever........INXS - Norm dancing - Rogo MOONWALKING.......so good it's made my week.

@@mackenziesadler-tew9547 The last song he played was Need you tonight by INXS
Just hard not to like. 60's mojo. Fast cars, great guitars.
Jags and Jazzmasters are just the sexiest looking guitars ever...EVER!
Matching headstocks are RAD.
My dream guitar
Wow....great,! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️thank you
So fun! Love this episode! 😍😍😍
INXS - saw them 3 times back in the day. Michael would have been impressed. Thank you
Jaguar pickups may be the best sounding fender pickups.
What is the first song? Great stuff.
Oh my God, that ending was amazing
Outstanding axe and you sounded great again Lemmo ! Thanks Jen ! 😎🎸🎶👌
A great Jaguar for a great end of the week! Awesome playing Lemmo! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Michael, you crushed it. That was fun to watch!
Epic as always. That original song is my favorite when you got into the neck pickup!!!

Wow. Hard to explain was nice. You blended the two parts together so well. Good Job!
CAR Jag. What we all wanted in the side walk surfing days. I was 6.

I was eleven, got it for Christmas '65
@@patrickpearsall6978 Lucky so and so :)
Playing my favorite Strokes song on my dream guitar... you son of a b-
Cool looking guitar. All Jags and Jazzmasters should have matching painted headstocks in my opinion.
This is the best episode...
Awesome job Lemmo! What a cool guitar. I think you should have somebody dancing in all of your videos from now on 😂😂👏
Definitely, Jen dancing would be fun!
Norm’s Fly by night dance 💃 Lemmo that’s nice playing and Jan you bring cheer to the video 😆😆🎈
Love the guitar! Beautiful. Would wish to see Lemmo's Pedals once :(
Norm does the Bird! Best UA-cam channel!
Awesome, as usual, great job!
Awesome playing
The INXS cover was bad ass!
Man Lemmo, you really sell those Jags! Great demo!
Loved it.....🍁
Love that original stuff around 10 mins ... Robert Smith (The Cure) and/or Mr. Billy Corgan would be inspired :-)
Bravo!!! You jammed!!! 👏👏👏👏
Norm gettin with it !!!!!!! great stuff guys
That second jam's start sounds a bit like the beginning of "The Man Who Came To Stay" by Babyshambles. Awesome.
Also INXS. YES.
U da man Lemmo, gotta love Jags n Jazzs
Don't worry, I've lost track of pickups too
Absolutely stunning guitar, great playing
I'm glad that I've been here early

Drums. A tip of the hat to Fluke Holland, who passed away this week.
I think Michael may have a little too much mother nature to smoke today
The song at 8:50 is very Sonic Youth. Love it.
What's Song?

I was just about to say the same thing about sounding like Sonic Youth!
I could feel the Ozzy tshirt squirming...
Finally some Aussie rock that is not AC/DC. Go INXS
This was my first electric in sunburst same year. Traded for an SG.

THE STROKES!
Love the drum loops 🤣💀
Hey Michael how do you like your guitars setup? Idk anything about setting up except the differences but would like to setup
Similar to you
Didn't you get one of these for a Birthday present a short time ago, Mike?
Tremendo 🇦🇷
I wish I had a painted headstock on my Fenders.
Player is awesome
Wasn't a Jaguar used by Frusciante for Under the Bridge by RHCP?

Australian band INXS
Steve P Oh man, you’re totally right! But “Break my Heart” also sounds really similar (particularly the chorus section).
Lemmo is God.
Get down Norm!!
This episode is my favorite lol
Rory Gallagher yay Ireland !!!!
There was some good music back in the '90s and then was some weirdo shit for people on molly...
Lemmo playing stokes omg
