Nobody’s gonna love that guitar more than lemmo.
Nobody
I would
but would you play it as much i guess percentage of your free time
Awesome. Quietly sitting in a warehouse for 30 years, to be re-discovered in this way. Beautiful sounds, Mr. Lemmo.

This is not just a gift to Lemmo. It's a gift to every person that ever gets to hear him play it. Starting with everyone that watches this video. And, once again, Lemmo steps up to the plate and delivers the goods BIG time!!
There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
There's a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
'Cause you know, sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook
There's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it makes me wonder
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it really makes me wonder
And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow
Don't be alarmed now
It's just a Spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on
And it makes me wonder
Your head is humming and it won't go
In case you don't know
The piper's calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow?
And did you know your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our souls
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you, at last
When all are one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
Agreed. Michael is an exceptionally gifted guitarist. His humble nature only adds to his likability. This channel is crack to guitarists. :D

His playing reflects how much he loves this guitar. Life is short...moments like this are priceless.
It's also great that we get to share in his experience. I love this stuff.
3:22, as Norm compliments Michael he slightly nods his head. Guy is incredibly humble and 100% deserving of all the success he is receiving, and more. Thanks for making my day!
Wow! Buying that guitar to give to Lemmo, that’s above and beyond generous. And Mikey doesn’t disappoint-he sounds great on it. Somebody give him a record deal! Who needs an endorsement deal, anyway?
Who needs a record deal? What year do you think it is?
Michael has reached that level where you don't need lyrics, or any other band member. He's on that cusp of where I would call someone a guitar God. A few more years and he'll solidly be one in just about anyone's eyes. We'll all be there to see it happen.
To think that jazz master was made just for you Lemmo in 1964. Congratulations Lemmo and thanks to the people who put it into your hands, it's a real gem.
One thing I love about Lemmo: he does not simply play the guitar (and boy, does he play ...), but he makes music. Beautiful music.
I don't usually write comments, but Michael's playing makes me cry, evokes emotions, elevates the spirit, he is one of the most talented guitar players I've ever seen and listened to. His heart is in the right place, his soul is beautiful. Otherwise I could not explain how he composes these beautiful pieces of music.
it's almost preposterous how tasteful and skillful of a player lemmo is.
it makes me genuinely happy that the jazzmaster found him.
Some folks buying this guitar for Mike...restores my faith in the kindness out there still resting with some people. Priceless moment. 👍✌💯🎸
WHHHHAAAAA?!?!? Lemmo!!! Uber Congrats on that incredible guitar! Gotta love Norm (and his friends)!
Guitars are built to be played. Generosity shows up in many ways. Mike is generous with us, so thanks Norm, Jen, Mike. You brighten my day
The power of the internet community! Michael is so passionate that it makes people love him. He’s real.
That guitar is exactly where it should be, in Lemmo’s hands 🎶 🌟
One of the most WHOLESOME UA-cam channels there is. Love these guys
Nicely put - and spot on
Yeah, encouraging people to get experimental genetic manipulation and deprive themselves of oxygen.. that's just good Sunday morning wholesomeness.
From 7:54 on is one of the best guitar riffs/improv that i've ever heard in my life.....absolutely awesome!!! thanks for this
Do you know what it’s called if it’s one of his songs?
@@ethangeorge3696 can't find it anywhere, if it's improve there is no point in playing guitar anymore
I’ve been trying to figure out what song it is too!! It’s super cool!!
I really liked it too. If he hasn't officially turned it into a titled song, he definitely should.
12:42 as well. I believe that is also his own written piece
“Things We Said Today” one of my absolute favorite Beatles songs
Thanks!! was scrolling down the comments section for the name of the song.😁
It was pure beauty
Not a Name Was Dropped, Even Though All of Norman’s probably know who the Graciously Kind Individuals are… Kudos, Kudos, Kudos… NRG Rocks!!!👍🤘🏼❤️🎸
And no mention of price either, thankfully. Although I’m free to speculate that it was around $20,000.
@@leamanc Good Lookin Out, No Mention of Price…👍
who gifted mike the guitar? just curious
@@geronimo546 … No idea, I know it wasn’t me…👍🤘🏼👊
@@leamanc I said at least $10,000, but $20k isn't out of the question. That's one gorgeous guitar and Lemmo plays it with style, the way it was meant to be played.
Holy shit! Dude this couldn’t have happened to a better deserving guy. Congratulations Dude! Respect and love that baby to the grave.
Lemmo seems like such a gracious and humble dude. Bravo 👏
Thank you to the Norm's family for introducing me to so many great players, including Mr. Lemmo. Also, thank you for keeping this content going through the pandemic. It's been a comforting, consistent thing that always cheers me up no matter how gnarly the day gets. Cheers.
As messed up as this world is it's great to see things go right. No one is more deserving of that than Lemmo. Norm and his friends gifting that to Lem gives faith that things can still be right side up in an upside down world. Cheers to Everyone at Norms! Now get Jen a new camera....😉
And a diet plan

I don’t own a lot of money, but I have often thought about saving up big money to buy an incredible vintage Jazzmaster as a gift for Michael. He truly deserves it!
He has almost moved me to tears so many times on GOTD here at Norms. His playing is out of this world, so innovative and beautiful.
He is a rocker, but he can also play the softest and most gorgeous melodies.
I have been a melodic guitar player for more than 17 years now, and Michael has quickly become my biggest inspiration and favourite player.
He is the reason I saved for years to by a 100% original Fender Jazzmaster from 1965. I love it to pieces, and I have Michael to thank.
Love you man! You’re the best.
All the best from Frederik (Denmark)
Norm, YOU are one of the nicest people on earth. AND YES Michael, you deserve nothing less!
Normans Rare Guitars is a BLESSING FOR US ALL!!
Grateful,
Ted Furlo
Congrats Lemmo! You deserve it man.
I have never seen this young man play before, what a brillant guitarist, truely one of the greats , what talent..thank you for the experience
Thanks again Norm for reruns! Thanks 😊
I never really liked jazzmaster until watching Michael and this channel, now he’s opened a whole new world for me. Love that color and so glad it’s now his.
Amazing playing! So refreshing.
That is a holy grail example of a Jazzmaster.
You love to see this! I've been watching every "Guitar of the Day" for a while and Michael became one of my favorite guitar players and of course he deserves that Jazzmaster!!
This is an historic episode. We are so happy for Michael.
They must warn the customers in the back that they’re about to witness greatness.
Congratulations on your new beautiful Jazzmaster guitar. Lake Placid Blue is such a beautiful color, the pick guard has aged perfectly, matching headstock looks wonderful. Michael you are a most deserving person with your skill, talent, hard work, dedication, and great personality. Thank you to the people that made this possible. It is a great day. 👏🎸👍🙏😎✌️
Nailed Things we said today. Congrats on the guitar lemmo nobody deserves it more than you.
Beautiful playing. A guitar this good deserves to be loved and a played by a player this good.
God gave this young man the talent to play like this. This music uplifts people and gives us hope!
Wow…just wow. Incredible sound, I could listen to that all night and still be wanting for more….
Best guitar of the day ever and we all could feel the love of this gift. It’s a joy to hear Lemmo play and a community that appreciates that. Nowadays everybody is so divided but not this group of guitar lovers.
I would love to see him put out an instrumental CD using that guitar!
Yes!
I am tortured by having too many guitars my playing doesn’t deserve. It is wonderful to see such a great guitar going to such a great player. Definitely deserved. What a treat to hear them getting better acquainted.
I am not worthy.🤩
What a monumental moment of generosity. This is like King Arthur getting Excalibur because Lemmo IS the king of the Jazzmaster. Great guitar, great player, a Stradivarius in the hands of a virtuoso.
❤
Our World has great and wonderful people. Let’s never forget that. Norm your team brings joy to the World everyday.and it’s truly terrific that good people see that and want to give back. ML put your love on that classic everyday. Ohh and Jen, I’d get you a camera!!
The geetar is freaking immaculated, looks like a NOS one
It's as good as it gets, my God I love that blue with rosewood fretboard, and Lemmo's playing is just as gorgeous.
1964 fender jazz master , what a beautiful guitar, Blue guitar, and the lemmo sound comes out of it like a legend , nice thanks BigAl California.
Congrats Michael! You are blessed with talent and people that love what you do, you deserve it!
This made my day, Thank you to all of you...
Lemmo is the luckiest man on earth, he absolutely deserves all the accolades and gifts,
a genuinely good person who's extremely talented,Michael Lemmo should be as famous as Bonamassa or Eric Johnson, we all love Lemmo
My wife and I have come to love watching Guitar of the Day after work. I'm a hack bass player who loves the 6-string guitar. Norm seems like a real special person and we absolutely love listening to Lemmo play. Man, you have a gift from God. Thank you for doing what you do!
Watched it again today, still holds up as one of the best! 😉☘️
Lemmo is the biggest reason I fell I love with guitar 🎸 and grew so fond to the different styles of guitar music and rhythm
I am so thankful for all of the good, kind, talented and generous people in this world, especially in the music world. Michael, you are a gift and thank you for sharing your music with us. Norm, Jen, everyone there, thanks for all you do. Enjoy it Michael!!
what a great gift, what generously great people. Lemmo… he deserves it and he‘s the right one for this peace of art!
My day has been made better knowing this guitar is with someone who will use it as intended. Lots o' love to the people who made it happen!🥰
What a guitar! And what a player Michael is! One might think that being gifted that beautiful Jazzmaster would throw him off and make him nervous, but ol' Mike just stepped up to the plate and delivered BIG TIME and I think he even upped his game with this one.
Michael Lemmo, you're already a legend, man. We adore you and you so deserve all the praise you get and of course the guitars too. 🙂👍🏻
Oh, and a big thanks to Norman for hiring Michael in the first place. I would never have found out about him if he didn't.
Lemmo is a good guy and way better player than the guy Norm got rid of. It looks like a good working environment with good people to be around.
@@tonypoore440
Well, to be fair, Mark Agnesi left because of a kinda big career opportunity with Gibson, Norm didn't fire him. He's still friends with the store and even got them to become a Gibson dealer again. I believe Mark was very much appreciated by Norm and the staff when he worked there.
Lemmo is a way better player, though. But Lemmo outplays almost every other guitar player on earth, so it isn't really a fair comparison. 😄
Anybody ever buy Agnesi a bitchin guitar?? I rest my case. Congrats Mike on the newborn axe! She’s beautiful. You’re the type of guy us other pickers can’t even get mad at that you blow us out of the water with your skills!! Very humble my friend.
What a treat to watch his joy
Lucky, lucky, lucky man you are mr lemmo, congrats
AMAZING!!!! CONGRATS, MICHAEL!
Perfect match for a great guitar with much humility, and a very deserving person, who teaches us so much.
"Things We Said Today" is like the perfect song for the occasion.
Holy ….! THAT, is a spectacular specimen to be bestowed upon by some AWESOME people. Wow!
Gotta love the love!!
The gift of the Jazzmaster was a piece of history and It just makes me happy to see such gifts from the heart.
Sounded like it looks.
Like a wave of nostalgia!!
Nice job Jen showing us that great moment of the gifting and then Lemmo's masterful playing.
I absolutely love this. I needed this sign of human goodness today. Love it!!
Congratulations!!!!!! That guitar looks brand new.
Congratulations Micheal enjoy a great dream Gods blessings for you
I started watching these by accident. First one I saw was taking the 50s Strat apart to authenticate it. The first video I saw with Michael I thought playing was wonderful. It's funny how you can learn people's stories just from short videos. See people grow and evolve. Humble beginnings can lead to rich endings. You're a good dude and you absolutely deserve this. Keep the music alive. Thank you, I needed some perspective today. It was achieved coming here. I'm greatful for the content here. I love art of the past. No matter what comes out new, my heart will always be with a a 62 Strat... Someday maybe ..
I saw you looking at that guitar in one of the warehouse videos! I think it was next to a fiesta red one and you picked that one up, congratulations Lemmo, and thank you to Norm and those 2 angels who put it in your hands man! No better home for that beauty!
How did I miss this one!?!?!? That last jam was a winner!
A match made in heaven!
Very awesome. Met Norm once when I traveled all the way from Australia to visit his store. Great guy, great store. Congratulations Lemmo.
Lemmo is one the the players that I like to listen to on UA-cam. The videos are to short as far as to watching him play. Lemmo I have a suggestion that I think in time would really benefit you. You doing almost lessons and at the same time I get to watch you play. Now I am a beginner but I try to pick up some of the things you do. Whoever gave you that guitar well cheers to them. Because we all get something good out of that. Now please start that UA-cam channel. God Bless you.
massive blessings all the way around… Lemmo was down on his luck and took a chance going to Norms, and Norm took a chance on Lemmo giving him those two days he asked for…Good people make this universe feel aight every once in a while..
Couldn’t imagine a more deserving recipient! A lot of love out there for Michael & his music. May we have the pleasure of both for many years to come!
Every time I'm in the market for a new guitar this guy pops up on my feed and blows my mind. Dig the hell out of his style & sound! Wow!
It’s almost like the guitar is saying: ”thank you for finally letting me out and putting me into the hands of a real artist”. Congrats Michael you really deserved this one. Keep on making great music. Cheers👍👏
So nice to watch you mature as a player and as a person. Keep it up kid - there's no telling how far you'll get!
So happy for Michael! Everyone at Norm's seema like just incredible people. I'm just absolutely in love with Jen!!!! She has such a positive energetic full of life spirit that even when I'm real down lifts me totally up! Woo whoo everday with Michaels playing is such a mood changer. I'm a Classical guitarist and Michael has become one on my favorite guitarist I've heard. I'm very thankful to Norms and everyone there!!! Can't wait to visit from ATX someday and say hello to everyone! Norm, Michael and Jen for sure! Love you all!!!!
Nice to feel the love, Beautiful guitar it suits you rather well Lemo.
It is Michael and his playing that got me watching this channel. I'm so entranced by his style. So happy he is getting his dream guitar! He definitely earned it.
Paying it forward; well done all!
I love Michaels playing and if anyone was going to get such a gift it couldn’t go to a better guitarist. As I’m a beginner he’s very encouraging and I always seems so humble. What talent!!! I’m getting married June 5 in CA and wish to stop by but not sure I’ll be able too but you never know. I look thru your videos to see him play the older cooler guitars as well. What’s even cooler has you had it locked away for so many years. Sweet. Hope Norm feels better and returns soon.
As someone who's been playing Jazzmasters for the last 20 years, you can tell when someone else feels 100% most comfortable with one in their hands over any other type of guitar. It's a very particular model and takes a bit of extra instinct to get the most of them. Congratulations Lemmo, the look in your eyes shows you've already bonded with this one. Happy fucking NGD!
His confidence is palpable when he holds it. Pretty cool.
Hes playing made me cry.
Whoever bought this for Lemmo Thank you ! These classic deserve to be in the hands of real musicians and Lemmo is certainly going to make some killer music with it now
I can only say- Wow! Just Wow!!
Can’t describe how awesome this is.
I love that Michael got that beauty🙌🏼
What an amazing gift! Must feel amazing and the history behind it with him personally makes it that much more special. One my fav guitar of the days.
Once again this man Lemmo demonstrates why he is the best in the world.
Give him a gallon can 4 strings and he'll make music for you. This is the worlds top talent. Huge respect and admiration for you Mr.Lemmo.
You have love and blessings from South Africa, Limpopo province, Kruger National park. An honor and a privilege to witness and listen to you. Magic at its best.
Just an amazing player.... so tasteful🙏🏻💜🇨🇦
Amazing story. For what it's worth, '64-65 Jazzmasters have the very best Fender necks I've ever encountered. I had a white/white '65 jazzmaster whose neck was on my main playing Strat (a '64) for many years. The Strat had a perfectly good neck, but the Jazz neck was a whole lot better.
Can we please have Michael come here play this same guitar a few more times again? This sounded so good and was so especial
Congratulations Michael and Norm you are a great Boss, cheers!
1964 was a great year.
IBM introduced the S/360, the Lockheed SR 71 flew for the first time, BASIC was developed, the first Jeopardy went on the air, The Beatles were 1 to 5 top singles in the USA, The Rolling Stones put out their first album.
I was born - and this Guitar was made!
And I am happy to know that it will be yours forever. Congrats Lemmo - Greetz from Germany.
I almost cried over this one. You deserve it, Michael!
He and his guitar just SING.
Much kudos to "assorted friends of Norm" for getting this for Lemmo. Once again, Lemmo slays us all with his talent. Go dude!!!!
