Can you answer a question for me? When you take a panorama with the M2EA using Pilot are both regular images and IR images taken? Are those images automatically stitched into a spherical panorama as in the Mavic 2 Pro using DJI Go4? Thanks!
Good information. Im thinking of getting one of these to start doing some inspections. You're a very good teacher. Looking forward to more videos from you. Was wondering if you could do a solar field someday?
Thanks for the awesome feedback my friend! That's funny you mentioned a video shooting a solar field, I have that on my todo list and I'm hoping to set it up soon. Good luck with your M2EA, I hope you can get it quick and put it to good use. Take care!
I found that when you export the report in a Word file, you need to name it first or it fails as you experienced. Thank you for taking the time to explain the DJI Analysys tool
very interesting video: I have a problem using this dji thermal analisys tool v2.0. The appearance of the menus is not correct. and the options appear overlapping or part of the options is lost. does anyone know if there are any settings to change and fix the problem?I would very much appreciate your help.
Good video with some practical information. Are isotherms available while the aircraft is in the air? That's where the SAR value is for that feature. Have you done actual temperature measurements and verified the values with a calibrated thermometer?
Thanks Chris! Isotherms are not available while flying the M2EA. That's one of the surprisingly limited features of this drone. Stranger still is that isotherms are available on the previous iteration of this drone; the Enterprise Dual. So one would naturally assume it would be available on the latest release, but one would be mistaken. I have a friend who is a home inspector compare temperature readings with a hand-held flir camera and my M2EA's readings were always within 2 degrees.
I can't say for certain, but I don't believe so. Plus if your controller recognized the processor as that of a Mavic 2 it would probably not offer you the control options for an M2EA. I could be wrong on that though.
@@jonathantrexel4299 Unfortunately, not that I'm aware of. The DJI thermal data is proprietary. This is a pain when trying to create thermal maps with software like DroneDeploy too.
@@jonathantrexel4299 That appears to be the situation. I don't understand why DJI made their data so that other thermal analysis tools can't process it. I also don't understand why there isn't a Mac compatible version of Thermal Analysis Tool. For that matter, I don't understand why a drone with so much potential (M2EA) doesn't allow for manual control of the photography settings. As I said in a previous video, it feels intentionally dumbed down. That said, I bought a cheap $300 laptop to run DJI's Thermal Analysis Tool and it works well. The companies I fly inspections for are very happy with the thermal data I capture for them. So after getting over the initial pain and disappointment of having to deal with a couple things that it just seems unfair to have to deal with, I am making money with the M2EA and it's already paid for its self, and the laptop. So given the choice between grounding a $7000 drone or investing another $300 in a PC laptop, I'd get the laptop.

Hello, i have dual dji enterprise dual and when i import the photos into the program it doesn't release the tools to analyze, do you know what's happening?
Hello Filipe, and thanks for viewing! It's my understanding that the Mavic Enterprise Dual is equipped with a Flir thermal cam and the data must be be analyzed in software compatible with Flir cameras. The Mavic Enterprise Advanced doesn't have a Flir camera, and therefore is incompatible with Flir software so DJI developed their own analysis tool. My suggestion would be to acquire software compatible with Flir data and try that. Also, be sure that the image is just as it came straight from the drone and unedited. Using photo editing software can strip the radiometric data from the image file. Good luck my friend!
Hello I can see on your screen that side bars are red indicating lateral optical sensors not active.I have the same issue on mine. What's you point on that ?
Good eye! Flying in tripod mode will activate the lateral sensors but, of course, at a cost to speed. I personally wish I could choose to turn them on/off in P mode but if that's possible, I haven't figured it out. The times I've accidentally gotten too close to an obstacle it's always been when I'm moving the drone sideways, not flying forward or back. I think it would be great to have the ability to turn lateral obstacle sensing on regardless of mode.
@@WildWonderfulWeekends You´re right. I knew that Tripod is the only mode for which sensors are on. But I just realized now that we must first turn ON multimode in the App. Because by default the switch mode is inactive and remain in P mode whatever the position. That was my mistake. Now it works well. Thanks for your reply.

So does the drone not store thermal video on the SD card for playback later? Is it only photos?
