Comparing this to hitman is a terrible analogy. In history assassins were meant to carry out killings publicly to strike fear into political enemies during the crusades. Also the “magic” elements ruined this series
Hitman is a modern time game. Of course its more advanced when it comes to stealth. Assassins creed is different. Its more open and parkour is a huge part of it
The constant comparison to Hitman turns me off from this reaction video . But it's your own opinion and personal preference to prefer Hitman over Assassin's Creed which I respect, but they are completely different type of stealth games.
They have said that Basim can only take 2 or 3 hits in combat and is a lot weaker in combat in this one. It sounds like they are trying to push people to use stealth, unless you are very good at the combat fighting more than 3 people will probably be a big risk. So I don't think he could have just run in the front door. As for it not being stealth. Assassins Creed has never been about totally secret kills, they sneak up to people but they want to make a statement that the Assassins did it. Assassins are political revolutionaries, even terrorists depending on the viewpoint. They never go around poisoning peoples food or anything like that. They use stealth to get close and strike, then use parkour to get out, but they don't want people to think it is an accident like Hitman. The rumored Hitman inspiration is specifically around the black box assassinations which are the giant main mission assassinations of very important targets like in Unity and Syndicate and the Valhalla Paris DLC, we haven't seen one yet for this game. This one was more of a side quest the other missions on the board he took it from were like "steal a mirror".
I’m gonna have to disagree with the ‘Assassin’s Creed doesn’t feel like Middle Eastern Baghdad to me’…I understand that’s just your opinion…but the Middle East is where this franchise started with Altair Ibn La Ahad. Even the Assassin’s Origins began in Egypt which is in the Middle East.

Its more of a concept of a cultural region than a straight up place like nations and continents are so Egypt is a part of Africa but can still be a part of the middle east
Just go and play older assassin's creed games man then u know the type of stealth assassin's creed has. It feels like u have never played any assassin's creed title before. The main story behind them is that they are less in number than enemies so they rather challenging them head to head goes to kill their leaders and main skill of assassin's is blend in plain sight. So he kills enemies and runs away with his parkour or blends in public so guards wouldn't notice.

The leaks which have been very accurate so far said they took a lot of inspiration from Hitman for the black box missions in this game. I expect this will mean several unique kills and infiltration opportunities and a lot of replayability. Past black boxes have a single unique kill and 1 or 2 side opportunities, and you can do all of them in 1 go.
this is assassin's creed, not hitman two different types of stealth games. Hitman is meant to make everything look like an accident, assassin's creed is stealth to get close to the target but make the killing known to strike fear against the templars which are their rivals, they own up to the assassinations this is the whole point
Dude this game has nothing to do with Hitman so I dunno why you’re comparing both the games and I’m really glad that they have brought the OG assassins creed vibes cuz they ruined the series after bringing fantasy and magical things
