That evil looking thing that Basim sees at the end is likely one of the visions or part of the visions which lead him to becoming Loki, or rather Loki taking over Basim’s mind.

Does it though? Only thing we have seen is a cgi trailer and not the game itself. I hope this will be a good game, but I don't trust Ubisoft very much.
Brotherhood is still my favorite so i'm glad this one is going back to the roots. Also i got teary eyed hearing the main theme/ Ezio's theme. It's always so good to hear it.
Looks great so far, I just hope we get some gameplay soon.
In AC Valhalla during a chat with Eivor, Basim mentioned that he studied at Darul Hikma (House Of Wisdom) which was the greatest university in the world back then that lies in ancient Baghdad! To see how it was and visit it is giving a great hype! Let's go!
8:12 you’re right and pretty spot on when sayin all the new tech fits that era as Baghdad,Iraq was the sole Center for knowledge, Mathematics(it was the birthplace of Algebra and Algorithms), Science as well… everyone around the world would travel to Baghdad to seek knowledge! It was THE city of that time. Till the Mongols came along….
Not the birthplace, lots of other things were discovered at the Ummayds period, In demascus,Medina, and Allepo. The golden age as they say was born at the Ummayds and grew up at the Abbasid period.
Actually Ezio's family was there in Valhalla. It came during the end Credits. Such a legendary song. Always gives me goosebumps.

Ubisoft just did a breakdown of the trailer & one of the devs said that the creature at the end is called a Djinn. According to Google, it's a certain type of spirit in Islam, similar to an angel. The devs said this Djinn will be present in every memory corridor (the cutscene that plays when you kill main targets in AC games). I think this is Loki. In the same way that Odin was present with Eivor in most memory corridor scenes in Valhalla, Loki will be present with Basim. The same way that Eivor interpreted all the Isu stuff as Norse mythology, Basim might do the same with Arabian mythology, at least until Loki takes over.
ok unusual level of details from devs, honestly good choice, would have messed the theme up if they chose any other kind of "spirit", people believe in Jinn until today btw, and Jin's aren't necessarly evil or good, think of them as just people in a different dimension that can visit ours or somes tuff like this

Djinn (from the Arabic root word for 'unseen' or 'hidden') is a word the Arabs used pre-Islam for evil spirits, just like the word Allah (meaning God/Deity) was used by some of them to refer to their idols. So, while the Arabic term is the same, what it referred to in pre-Islam Arabic tradition is not the same in Islam. The Djinn in Islam is like what a demon is in Christianity and Judaism, but they're not necessarily evil. Different languages use different words for things - it's amazing, I know.
It seems interesting to see Basin 15 years ago before Valhalla and I believe that there going to be unique storyline 😄 also during the Ubisoft forward, they have announced 3 other assassin’s creed games. With that said, there was some mine trap bombs during Revolations with Ezio's timeline.
Really hopeful it will be like the older games. Don't get me wrong, I love open world rpgs, but I feel like they don't really fit for AC, though Origins was pretty good at being an open world RPG while still being an Assassin's Creed game and unfortunately didn't get the same feeling from Odyssey and Valhalla. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this game at least, but don't know how to feel about the other stuff they announced.
Origins was good, great story, still an rpg but without choices that don't make sense in terms of the animus, all they had to do was keep that formula and then make the two games after it like it with assasins and a better parkour system and then perfect but instead they went in the completely wrong direction

They actually do have Ezio's Family in AC Valhalla but it was used in the credits which are optional.
The voice of the female assassin narrating, is done by Shohreh Aghdashloo.
She also voiced the role of the enforcer lady in Arcane.
She’s so badass!

When that classic AC music kicked in at the end I got the goosies.

Reminds me of AC: Revelations. Maybe we get more of a AC: Unity gameplay with AC: Origins open world elements😄
I had really hoped that they would use the Unity assets for this. But no, they've mostly built on the Valhalla assets.

You can revisit the older Assassins' Creed games, starting from Assassins' Creed 1. They were among the best AC games.
And they have Admiral Sha'la Raan from Mass Effect series as voice actor in this game. Her voice is really unique!

Ezio's Family, I believe, is in the official soundtrack for Valhalla. It's called "Ezio's Family - Ascending to Valhalla". It's a really nice version of the song, in my opinion

I’m excited for this game. I would love to see some gameplay and I feel like his going have three games like Ezio. His a bad ass as Ezio and Altair. I think this game will be my favorite AC game. I also love Ac one to origins.

It is interesting to know that Assassins, or the correct pronunciation of Hashashins, have existed in history and have Iranian roots. Their roots go back to the time of Hassan Sabah in Alamut Castle in Qazvin province in Iran. And Ubisoft has publicly stolen history from Iran and never announced it anywhere, I hope it will announce the facts in this game.

Personally, I'm a fan of the earlier Assassin's Creed games. I still think AC2 and Black Flag are two of the best games in the franchise. I enjoy many of the current AC games and sincerely hope the franchise can catch lightning in a bottle like it did in the past.

I love both the old games and the new games! But I gotta say this trailer got me extra pumped!
Hopefully it's nothing like Odyssey like as much as enjoyed the world I just couldn't stand the lacklustre combat and dialogue along with the lack of Hidden One elements. This though looks amazing and seems like a total overhaul of the series.
if you have played odyssey then you do know it takes place many years before origins, hidden ones were introduced in origins, and the combat isn't lacklustre either you haven't played odyssey or you don't know different builds that game offered
@@apc6539 Odyssey never should have existed. Why tf would you have ASSASINS CREED without ASSASINS. The combat sucks ass, enemies are damage sponged and it breaks lore in so many ways especially the DLC, the director even confirmed they had parts of Greece left over from Origins which was supposed to be in Origins. They cut corners and created the worst game in AC history
The issue I had was how i needed to level up just to play the main story side quests were decent but at times I wanted to play the main story. The main story ended up not being the best anyway. I hope this one has better writting.

Vahalla wasn't a game that grabbed me, maybe it was timing on my part, but I just never could get into it like the others, this does look like it's going in a new direction game and play wise si I'll be keeping an eye out for a gameplay trailer, the world does look wonderful though, here's hoping it lived up to the hype.
Valhalla grabbed me, it was just so dense it was overwhelming at times!

It looks like it could be one of the best Assassin’s Creed game ever. Basim was a really strong character in Valhalla. I can’t wait for this game to come out and go back in time to this era.
I enjoy both styles of games! Although I will say Odyssey and Valhalla were too big.
@@LiteWeightGaming Yeah! They are big, but entertaining and great stories written. I'm about 180 hours in Odyssey after completing main game & all dlc's and around 230 hours in Valhalla. Haven't played Valhalla Forgotten Saga yet! What's your fav AC game so far?

(SPOILERS FOR AC VALHALLA!!!!) The thing at the end of the trailer is what corrupts Basim. We first meet Basim in AC Valhalla and it turns out in the end that he is ``evil`` cause he has been corrupted by Loki (or loki has taken over his mind), and this game takes place 20 years before valhalla`s story, so this is most likely going to tell us what happend to him. Basim probably thinks its a djin that tries to attack him witch is his cultures version of a demon, but in this case its loki. (sorry for my bad english).

Looking forward to the change. I liked Vahalla at first but it got tedious after a while.
The story missions were boring and drawn out. In Origins, you wanted to do the side stories because they were fun little plot and conspiracies that you naturally run into. In Valhalla and especially oddessy's side missions feel like chores than actual missions.
It was a good game but holy cow was it long!

I’m not quite sure yet! It just came in the mail the other day!
Certainly looks very impressive. The more modern AC suits my style. I put so many hours in Odyssey. Some days it would just be exploring and fighting with the ship or going all over a certain area. I really like to just live in the world and progress when I want. I have Origins running right now but haven't been playing as I don't run the gaming PC much in the summer heat. I'm sure I'll watch playthroughs of this game and decide.
I love getting lost and immersed in the worlds too!
Since this appears to occur before valhalla, i doubt they are going to pull in ANY of the loki elements.
