Assassins Creed Odyssey is the most disconnected from the series to the point where it feels like a whole different franchise. Valhalla is more Assassins Creed for reasons I'll not spoil. You can roleplay a little as an Assassin in Odyssey but it's not you're classic experience while Valhalla came a little closer to that experience. The finger thing (and yes, ouch!) is an Assassin tradition. The first Assassin accidentally cut off his ring finger with the hidden blade (knife) when making a kill. Subsequent Assassins did the same deliberately as a permanent mark of allegiance as well as providing a space for the blade. It also is the ring finger so it's like saying you're married to the cause via a sacrifice. Later Assassins stopped this tradition with instead a branding (also ouch but not quite as much) on the finger as symbolic.

Hi Meg, I hope you see this, because this is need to know. Many OG fans (myself included) are outright pissed off with how Ubi has been treating this series in the last couple of years, taking the original vision and shooting it into the sun, because incorporating the things that are "in right now", romances, dialogue options, mythical creatures or stupidly large maps makes them more money. All they care about is iconography because it sells. In the original game the plan was for the player to have access to a crossbow, but it was cut due to historical accuracy. In Valhalla you could through the magic of micro-transactions ride a yellow stag with sparks coming out of it's antlers. I love the original, the Ezio games and Black Flag, and at this point it doesn't even hurt anymore
It’s pronounced “Ezio Auditore da Firenze” meaning ezio auditore of Florence. The assassin in this upcoming game is named Basim. You’ll meet him before playing this upcoming game, but I’ll say no more of course, don’t want to ruin anything.
I know you haven't play it maybe because time constraint, busy schedule and/or because you didn't know where to begin. Imo it is best to play from one, two, brotherhood, revelations, three then black flag at least for the best experience But you can play Origins as the first game too if you want better graphic. The rest of em you can play later.
One of the best parts of Black Flag was the sea shanties, and it pre-dated the sea shanty Instagram craze. Don't know if it caused it, but it definitely pre-dated it.
Somebody priority said this but I'm going to say it anyways they cut off the ring finger on the left hand as a final initiation into the league of assassins they don't talk about it very much other than the first game

2:26 you just imitated an eagle while an assassin showed up 😂😂😂
1:42 that " I'm " came perfectly 😂
1:42 The first thing I recognized was also her voice lol. Idk how but she always plays the most badass characters (Perks of having a badass voice I guess). Arcane, bioware stuff, expense and now this.
The dark shadow at the end is loki. I guess we will be able to see how he takes on basims mind completely
Gotdamnit She is so excited that she made an eagle 🦅 voice 2:25 i freaking Love You 😍
If it's true that Assasins Creed codename red will take place in Feudal Japan, that can only mean one thing considering the Samarai were used already in Ghost Of Tsushima. Given how stealthy both factions are, you couldn't ask for a better Japanese colaboration than Assasins and Ninjas.
The music and the screeching violins make Basim look like a demon in killing spree.
And generally the music in this game so far is, cherry on pie I really love it
YES!! Someone else noticed Admiral Rahn’s voice. I recognize her voice anywhere
Admiral Raan! Such a distinct voice, no one else sounds like that.
Lol “was that admiral raan?” Was also my first reaction to the trailer 😅
the exact same move from her mentor 02:52 Basim did the same 04:26 on his target
Please make Basim's trilogy
Part of the joy of AC is you don't even need to play them to have an appreciation for them. As far as Mirage goes, its a return to what people loved about the original games. And Basim was such a cool character were just really hyped to have him as the MC.
Edit: yeah that was the Admiral. She's in a few games. Her and the another of the Admiralty. The other is the voice of Chloe from Uncharted, and Morigan from Dragon Age respectively.
They need to make a show these insane cinematic settings
That epic ezio super hero landing tho 👏
I hope they will bring Altair back, like an option at some point to play as him again...would be epic
2:25 cast Meg for the eagle in the new game!!
I genuinely love this girl ✨💫💜💫✨
If you see this, for Help...
AC 1 - Altair
AC 2 - Ezio
AC Brotherhood & Revelations - Ezio
AC 3 - Connor Kenway (Haytham Kenway is Edwards son, who has Connor)
AC Black Flag - Edward Kenway
AC Rogue - Shay Cormac
AC Unity - Arno Dorian
AC Syndicate - Jacob & Evie Frye
AC Origins - Bayek
AC Odyssey - Dno cuz it looked a disappointment from the start
AC Valhalla - Eivor
AC Mirage - Basim (From Valhalla)
☺️
Post AC walkthroughs from part 1 in your channel... It'll be a great journey for you ❤️
She will love Ezio
02:26 for a sec i thought its the sound of Assasin creeds eagle. lol.
Its part of the assassins creed what you need to loose the middle finger for the hidden blade its a rite of passage to cut off the middle finger
Can I share your video as a reaction video on my channel?
Basim (the assassin of this trailer) already left an impact on us
Her attempt at "Ezio Auditore da Firenze" kills me.
Assassin's Creed1 started from Arab country and, and now it is returning again to the Arab world. "Altair" and "Basim" Both are Arabic names for Arab characters.
Ezio theme at the end is just gossebumps
It’s Basim from Valhalla. He got his own game
Mirage will take place when the Islamic Caliphate was at the height of its power, so around 890's AD
2:26 I thought there was an eagle in the scene.
2:23 is that sound in trailer or did i heard eagle sound there :D
When will you start the series? I'm waiting for days
Sounded more like a seeeeeeaaagle lol 🪶
Will u start the assassins creed after witcher 3? 🥺. I'm so.. Waiting for that. Saw ur content on witcher in UA-cam and it's after that i downloaded twitch , just to watch ur live gameplay ❤. So excited that u are getting into the AC series ❤❤❤
the one thing I'd like people to have in mind when playing AC games...'remember Altair'.
I like how his name in Arabic translates to “the one who smiles”
I recommend you go into this games without any influence of other people’s take on the games. I believe that there are many people that hate to hate a franchise. All AC games are amazing and all of them create a wonderful story. Just enjoy the games and create an opinion of your own. I myself have enjoyed every installment of this franchise. If you’re able to play the DLC of the AC games, I highly recommend.
You should play Kingdom come Deliverence and some point it is a great Historical game. Covers some great topics in some of its Side quests really looking at the impact the Crunch and religion had on peoples lives.
Yo if any ac purists hating on you shame on them. It should be enjoyed by everyone♥️ been a fan since day one of Assassin's Creed, welcome to the brotherhood yo😎
I'm waiting for AC 1 gameplay
" We're going to kill witch hunters!" Geralt disliked that. lol
I think it was a bad idea to make assassins out of a Spartan and a Viking they were very proud warriors not sneaky killers. There was no way to make them assassins even if they wanted too
Don't worry Meg. I guarantee you will become fan once you start playing the games and I can't wait for the playthroughs of them!
Nah sister, WE are all happy for these.
Ubisoft is luring me into buying another one of their games that have been subpar lately…so what’s the preorder price?
Yay Meg
Now this is a true Assassin's Creed Game
The finger thing (and yes, ouch!) is an Assassin tradition. The first Assassin accidentally cut off his ring finger with the hidden blade (knife) when making a kill. Subsequent Assassins did the same deliberately as a permanent mark of allegiance as well as providing a space for the blade. It also is the ring finger so it's like saying you're married to the cause via a sacrifice. Later Assassins stopped this tradition with instead a branding (also ouch but not quite as much) on the finger as symbolic.
Assassin’s creed 1 - name is Altair
Assassin’s creed 2 & Brotherhood & Revelations - name is Ezio
Assassin’s creed 3 - name is Connor
Assassin’s creed 4 Black flag - name is Edward
Assassin’s creed 4 Freedom cry - name is Adewale
Assassin’s creed Rogue - name is Shay
Assassin’s creed Unity - name is Arno
Assassin’s creed Syndicate - name is Jacob(male) and Evie(female)
Assassin’s creed Origins - name is Bayek
Assassin’s creed Odyssey - name is Kassandra
Assassin’s creed Valhalla - name is Eivor(female)
Assassin’s creed Mirage - name is Basim
And next Assassin’s creed game is 『Assassin‘s Creed Codename Red』&『Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe』
Here no need to thanks :)
It baffles me that you know nothing but somehow know everything at the same time about these games. Props
The Assassins existed in real life ya know. The games are a very fictionalized version of them lol. And they only existed about 300 years
U know my mother say iam handsome too
Hi Meg, I hope you see this, because this is need to know.
If you ever wanna try assasins creed games then I'll recommend you to start with the black flag, probably the best character story
You should see the 15th anniversary trailer it’s a banger
I started playing hwen i was 13 now I'm 24 hyped for it 🥰❤
Hexe is the first horror assassins game
I know you haven't play it maybe because time constraint, busy schedule and/or because you didn't know where to begin.
Imo it is best to play from one, two, brotherhood, revelations, three then black flag at least for the best experience
But you can play Origins as the first game too if you want better graphic. The rest of em you can play later.
I want to be the Aladdin to your princess. Or maybe just Abu
WITCHESSSSSS 🧙♀️🧙
i hope Hexe becomes Assassin's Creed Sisterhood and they all kiss
When are you gonna play ac1?
One of the best parts of Black Flag was the sea shanties, and it pre-dated the sea shanty Instagram craze. Don't know if it caused it, but it definitely pre-dated it.
I'm going to remaining sceptical on this one until it comes out, and hopefully I'll be wrong.
wtffff she sounds exactly like an eagle lmaaoo
you would love play kassandra in ac odessy
Waiting for your journey trough AC franchise
Somebody priority said this but I'm going to say it anyways they cut off the ring finger on the left hand as a final initiation into the league of assassins they don't talk about it very much other than the first game
Then you haven't played Origins.
