So we got confirmation that the next Life is Strange Game is coming from Deck Nine Games as it will be the 4th main installment in the series! "Life Is Strange 4" and the future of Life is Strange which could see the return of our beloved protagonists Max and Chloe or could we see once again some new characters and locations. Could we see a NEW Playable Characters in a new life is strange game. It's confirmed that Deck Nine Games and Square Enix are working on another "Life Is Strange" which will likely have new characters and locations. It seems a reveal, release date, and a trailer this year for Life Is Strange 4 is immient! Would you like to see Max and Chloe Return in the next Life Is Strange game!? I don’t believe it until it’s officially out. TWAU2 was supposed to be out last year but it’s postponed to this year and it’s not even guaranteed due to financial issue.
I understand but IGN literally stated numerous times about the next game barring anything unforeseen it’s happening and we should hear about it really soon
Telltale laid off most of their staff in 2023. And they parted ways with Deck Nine who were doing the heavy lifting in TWAU2. So they're now going to continue working on that game with just a fraction of their former workforce.
I don't think we will see TWAU2 for quite a while.

My heart couldn’t handle this article. It’s made me want to share my experience in the Video Game Development Industry. I’ve been a victim of abuse as well as similar treatment. I’ve partaken in small indie game projects. This one developer who won’t be named was responsible for time crunching me very hard..
60-80 hours of nonstop development. He fired several women for the simple fact that they didn’t turn him on. He had persuaded a few new workers who also happened to be women into trusting him. One was allegedly assaulted upon meeting him. I ignored his attempts while trying to turn a blind eye to everything out of shock.
He withheld my monthly payments as apparently I wasn’t performing well enough. I thought he meant in video game development but it turns out he was referring to the way I talk as well as the way I talk to him. He made changes on April Fools’ Day wanting us all to address him as “Master” & “Daddy” I ignored this thinking it was just an April fools joke.
After that day. Everyone also thought it was just a joke. I had some of my team members tell me that they felt disturbed. It got worse for me as I was going through a money crisis. I trusted him. I met him in person as he made advancements on me. I’m so upset after reading the article because it reminds me of how many victims shy away from speaking out.
I haven’t left this team because I feel passionate about the project. He became a changed man after successfully getting into a relationship with one of the new workers on the team. She refuses to talk about the two of them as we are all left in the dark. What sickens me is the fact that most people believe he is changed man… 😢😢😢

With the Deck Nine controversies my heart goes out to the writers and developers and actors that all have great hearts and are at the hand of the horrible abusive executives like Garris, I don’t want Deck Nine to fall because it would put all the good people out of work but it seems like the new Life is Strange could make or break them especially with this article dropping.
I’m excited for the new Life is Strange, especially with my theory that Max is the protagonist (considering Hannah Telle, Max’s VA, posts a lot of recording booth pics on her IG Stories) but I’m extremely disheartened and disappointed with the horrible people in power that fucked shit up.
Honestly, thank god Don't Nod has moved on from Life is Strange, they gave us the best games in the series. Deck Nine can't write a good script if theirs lives depended on it.

The "evidence" that Rachel's death was based on a real person is extremely flimsy and there's no similarities beyond them both being buried which is just absurd

Although game is confirmed! I’m excited! If this Max rumour is really official then I’m extra-excited! But despite what’s happening, I’m still gunna be playing the game pre-ordering immediately (if it does go on pre-order), I’m just… shocked? Concerned at the franchises future! Dang. As for me, nothing has had the charm of the original LiS Game. How interesting almost half the players chose to save Chloe. Max and Chloe's relationship, whatever you wanted it to be, made the final choice meaningful. Not so with Before the Storm, or the other two remaining games. First there was that happened at Blizzard and now this. Sounds like some kind of disease attacking gaming companies.

I was so hyped to see a new video pop up in my feed but im so disappointed and upset with how everything has been handled behind the scenes especially with such an inclusive game as Life Is Strange. This is awful. I hope they can rebuild a better internal team that can create a good work environment. Life is Strange deserves to continue on as a franchise and the talented people who create it deserve so much better than this. Thank you dom for shedding light on this, its bittersweet but needs to be talked about.

Can I just say that from the first moment I saw Zak speaking in an interview I don't feel quite comfortable? Like I don't get a positive vibe from him, and people commented that he could be a good voice actor for a villian. The fact that someone like Jeffers*n directed and took part in the creation in which Rachel was living I had a hand in creating Rachel Amber and described her as someone who isn't necessarily good (basically shading her), and the fact that this is quoted by a Rachel dismisser/hater who called her toxic in a UA-cam comment while I was as usual defending her, makes me sick. Imagine it was his call to add the part in which Rachel drugs Victoria in return, which didn't sit right with me at all, gosh. Congregation of the people on the darker side.

Speaking out from experience. I want to share with men specifically that women like myself who enjoy being more dominant. Please understand that we also like being submissive too. However, it doesn't change the power dynamic. That doesn't give you free reign to order us around while treating us like we are objects. That is built upon trust which is where we trust you the man to provide for us. Not just for the individual woman. I mean provide for a family. We will also work hard to provide too. It works both ways. I just want men to understand that the reason why there's so much problems in relationships these days is because some men get the idea that to keep a woman happy is through dominance. Stop trying to be strong all the time. It's so fake. Only be strong when the other person is too weak. It's okay to cry. It's okay to be a human being. Just stop putting on an act. It's true we can find it attractive when you show strength in character. That's more so confidence that we adore. We don't like someone that pretends to be strong when deep down; it's obvious that you are emotional too... I'm just sick of men trying to be this way. I had to leave my abusive ex-boyfriend because he wouldn't show any emotion towards the fact we were suffering as a couple. He also just played valorant while never wanting to work. He made no effort at all. He lied to me point blank in my face that he was working. I caught him at home... stop lying to us! -_-
As someone who went through an abusive relationship before as a man thank you for stating we can show emotions that means a lot! To many people now a days can’t think we can be vulnerable and I’m always someone that will show emotions and care for the other person no matter what! Thanks for sharing your story!

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how careful the victims are. There’s a lot of power dynamic and manipulation going on there and it made them feel like their job is at stake. These disgusting men should never have been given a pass in the first place.
I know that this video is focusing on Life is Strange but the IGN article also talks about The Wolf Among Us 2. Hopefully Dom will make another video discussing it too. Because its a beloved IP.
According to a 2021 report from Game Informer, Deck Nine had been working on the game based on a finalized script.
The IGN article however, mentions that the old script seems to have been ditched aside. And now TellTale is working on a brand new script. Which means that its gonna take ages before we see the release of the game.
Especially if we consider that Deck Nine and Telltale parted ways. And TellTale laid off much of their workforce.

Hey Dom, do you think that Kim Coates would be a good fit to play Kenny in The Walking Dead live action TV series. Also is it possible that they might show Lee killing the state senator in the live action TV show if they plan on making it?
I strongly disagree with wanting Max to return. As much as I love Pricefield and will always have those two together, bringing Max back WILL NOT WORK!!
If Max returns dealing with Chloe’s death, that scraps the Sacrifice Bay ending and by bringing back Chloe (in any form honestly) scraps the Sacrifice Bae ending. No developer wants to dishonor any players’ chosen canon ending, especially when it’s at an almost 50/50 result. It’s too broad to tie everything back together into a clear tidy storyline.
Sometimes we just have to let favored characters go and not make their legacy a mess by squeezing out any crazy story that could happen. Look at where Toy Story is headed with its future 5th movie. Or how there’s nothing more to be said about Harry Potter. We need to move on; let’s continue with the anthology formula that works.

Wow, this is... a lot. I'm a big big fan of the LiS series and this article made me appreciate the hard work of the actual dev team for what they managed to accomplish with True Colors, but seeing as some specific sort of "ideas" are being sneaked into the new game, I'm gonna be cautious and stay far even after the game's release until I hear it's clear of anything bad.
Hopefully thanks to this article, some people would be looking at the game closely when it releases to find out if anyone sneaked anything hate-group-from-the-1930s-related in it.

Hold on this was the UK branch of SE specifically. SE is one of the more progressive companies in the Japanese gaming industry, to say they are "scummy" is not accurate. They do really need to make sure their employees including execs are kept in check. Definitely need that inclusion training

By watching the video now in full. I realised just how bad some game companies have gotten recently and I just hope for a huge change very soon. Both Square Enix and Deck nine are well renowned for me because of Life is Strange and I thank them for it but after hearing about the issues they have had and after this article things have to be better.

It sounds like its going to be dark...
there are maaany maaany ways chloe and max could be brought back no matter what the person chose (i chose arcadia bay in my playthrough) by having max switch from the reality where she sacrificed her, to the reality where she didn't. Maybe she's not able to tell Chloe about the switch too, it'd make it very interesting. So we're switching between two realities, two different storylines. Not sure about what the end would be.
