Absolutely! The juxtaposition of him holding his iPhone in a sock to get good audio, and the quality of his videos makes me lol! We are lucky to have him doing this on ytube.

This tutorial was so polished and to the point. Covered a wide range of info yet wasn't too dense to comprehend. I've been following BlenderGuru, Ian Hubert, CG geek, and a bunch of others but yours seems to have the best balance. Great job Jacob!! Subbed of course :)
Thanks for that feedback, Danish. I'm glad you feel like the balance is there. That's what I'm aiming for so it's good to hear whether or not I'm achieving that for you all.
Wow..... Blender is so unbelievable today. I never wanted to learn it, because it seams to be not professional enough when i started with 3D around 15 years ago.... now i watch all this videos and stay here very inpressed by all this possibilities. And thanks to you for your content! Its very easy to understand and makes it easy to step into this heavy program :)
Have been watching hundreds of Blender tutorials for last 2 years. And subscribed a few. But this one one just perfect. You got a subscriber by watching just one video!
To Be honest. i'm an absolute beginner to Blender and after literally a week on blender. i got so overwhelming because of so many things on blender. just about to give up and this video shows up and keeps me inspired and super hyped. i know and wanna learn VFX and compositing in Blender. you are Legend man!
right there. not even a minute into the video and a nugget of knowledge vital to this entire thing. i've never thought to animate the position of the object to match while tracking. and it only gets better from there. great stuff, just subbed. EDIT: damn shit just got real. rarely do I ever feel the need to click the bell on knowledge-based channels just because I hardly ever find a person's teaching so compelling and useful that I need to watch it immediately. I clicked this fak outta your bell lol. this is seriously a great tutorial.
Your tutorials (all of them) are full of precious information and they really stand out for the quality and added value. Thankfully you don't hold back information in fear of being too technical and I swear they are the clearest tutorials I could find! If I might, I suggest a detail on improving the comprehension of the relationship between each composition and the selected view layer, you can enable in the data outliner, under filter, the restriction toggles for holdout and indirect only. That way we can always clearly see what contribution each composition gives to the currently selected layer (and as a bonus you can modify them with a single click).
Thank you for that feedback and the tip! I did not know you could do that and that would be super helpful. I will certainly do this for future tutorials!
Ladies and gentlemen, next blender master is here... That is some insane tutorial, i saw your previous tutorial as well. That's some real information. Thanks man. Looking forward for more.
Damn this is the most underrated blender information/tutorial video ever. This kinda of stuff is what no one will ever touch or explain and you my man did an absolute wonderful job from start to finish. Amazing
Dud since I saw your last tutorial I wish I had known your channel for longer. Last year I was missing such great Compositing Tutorials :) I am so grateful that you make such great tutorials. !
Jacob, just a few words, your work is amazing!!! The quality of your tutorials is outstanding, don't stop, I know it have to be a lot of work but I'm pretty sure that in a few months this channel is going to be one of the top youtube's blender channels in the world, without a doubt. Blessings!!!!
UA-cam recommendations actually hit the jackpot for me! Great tut and channel. Subscribing and going to eat up all the content you have thus far. Your production value is insane.
Man, You're a Legend for making so detailed, saturated and most important - useful tutorials without talking around (yeah, I'm looking at You, Andrew :D ). Appreciate all the effort! P.s. Dat Psalm 🔥
Its so strange... you can use Blender for years and do all sorts of stuff and then watch one tutorial (like this one) and see ten subsystems you never knew existed at all and realize you will never master this whole program. Never. Good narrative voice, not too much hand-holding. Bookmarked and subscribed
Im just a Blender beginner, but this was a thing I always asked myself. Like how they do f.e. the iron man suit go around a body, if the camera doesn't know its 3D space... but now I kinda get it xD Lol thank u dude
Actually in most cases it's enough to composite a 3d object only in foreground. For example, you can "dress" actor in iron man suit simply by object tracking of his body, and then add a suit model on top of a footage.
Omgg this was the mosstt nicely explained tutorial of blender.. thankyu will help a lot 🤩🔥 After doing the work : suuupperrbb.. as i said.. helped a lott 🔥🔥
Just a quick tip, when you have the timestamps of the sections in the video, put them in the description as well. UA-cam is implementing a feature where it'll automatically divide the timeline into those sections so it's easy to skip to.
the moment i was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of tiny executive functions required, i hear: "ITS COMPOSITING TIME" thank you lmao :)
You're a fu-ck-ing wizard. I suspect the length of this tutorial signficantly belies the length of time it's going to take me to do this the first time, but I'm excited to do it!
I've never really used view layers and am questioning my workflow a little bit now haha :D I probably would have tried it with passes only :D Thanks a lot for your well structured and super understandable and viewer-friendly content. I'm looking forward to what's next :)
