Hi there! Chloe hired Gabriela Hearst 3 years ago, and she is exiting Chloe in coming September. Gabriela has her own brand too. Gabriela is into sustainable fashion, and focusing on artisan craftsmanship. I like her creations a lot.
@@tanner.leatherstein I mean I don't know what happens when she leaves the brand. But for three years she managed to obtain Corp certification on sustainability for Chloe. She uses only natural materials such as cotton, silk, leather, wool, linen, claiming that if you buy a piece made from these materials it can last for a long time, and sustainable does not always mean using alternatives to natural materials. And I agree! You should definitely dissect her own brand bags too! They are so intricate, classic, elegant, and lady-like and expensive, of course!😃
I love Chloe's leather and distinct designs, I had my croc-embossed Chloe Tess since forever. Also I admire how deliberate you are with details and how uncompromising your standard is. This channel is amazing
This bag is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The style and trimming looks eye catching. Even without any logos to flaunt the bag screams elegance and quiet luxury.
Not my style of bag, don't think I ever had a bucket bag 😬 but can't wait for more insights on Chloe's bags 😁 Your videos are always very helpful to find what's true in all the marketing the big houses do. Thank you 😊😊😊
Chloe's items are above many other luxury brands in terms of quality, both bags and ready to wear; unfortunately they are not as "up-scale" as brands like Chanel, Dior, etc, they depreciate a lot in price :(
Dior has really went to hell though under Maria Grazia Chiuri, I hate what they are doing, Monsieur Dior is rolling in his grave... He was all for ladylike elegance, not tacky giant logos and couture of ready to wear quality that goes for cultural appropriation in 2022..
Thanks for your insights in the leather the brands use. Cloe has a second line 'see by Cloe'. Its a way more affordable line. It would be interessting to see how the quality of the lesther for this line is. 🙋♀️
I owned the Chloe vintage bag , which I bought it from someone else. The leather is beautiful and durable except the water damage. I am sill learning how to keep good leather bags well.
I really your videos, they are so informative. I have a Chloe Marcie bag from 13 years ago and it has been holding up well. Would you be able to review Strathberry handbags when given the opportunity?
I get that it's good that they use the full leather and not corrected, but at this price point shouldn't they be select pieces with fewer defects? I realize no large brand is doing this, but at the price there is no reason they can't.
Please deconstruct a Hènope Italian bag. I just bought one and they are pretty good and fair price for the quality but I would be excited to hear and see your expert opinion about Hènope as a brand. Thank you, keep posting!
I always wonder after he destroys the bag...does it put it back together...I know not all...but close maybe???...Its a torture to watch lol...thanks for the videos.
How do you value design costs and capital expenditures? On design, someone had to come up with this idea for bag. They probably went through several design iterations before settling on a series of specifications for size, construction, leather quality, colors, etc. This would then lead to capital expenditures involved in setting up factories and production lines. There are, of course, other costs like packaging, shipping, and marketing. Most of these items are ready made, not made to order, so there are also costs for storage of inventory, probably at several points, i.e. at the factory, at the shipping locations, at the points of sale. I like your videos, but I just think there are more costs involved than labor for construction and materials.
Can you please do a video on the best leather backpack for everyday/casual use please? I'm a student and I have been looking for a good backpack. Love your video!!
Excellent review! I appreciate your price breakdown and also your insight into buying luxury brand prestige vs non-luxury brands which you do in a nonjudgemental, fact-based manner. 🖤🩷🖤

Demystifying the ridiculous/unnecessary markups on luxury brands AND amazing ASMR. Killing two birds with one stone. Subscribed.

They do sales during the summer. That’s why.
Hi pls deconstruct Fossil bags. They are not luxury but look well made, artisanal and priced well
a year late but seconding this!
The Chloe Marcie satchel is a classic that they likely won’t be getting rid of anytime soon, so that may be a good one to dissect

See by Chloe isn’t good. It’s like Coach. Leather is slightly thinner than Coach boutique’s bags.
YES
Love Chloes designs!
How about The Row? I know they're simple bags but curious about the quality and super simple craftsmanship
thank you for your work, it's really helpful. Could you do next the lemaire croissant bag ? I can't decide if i should buy it or not. thank you :)

Would love you to do the Longchamp box trot collection!😊
Please do Chloe Marcie Bag review, I loved that bag!
They’re my favorite luxury brand; I have a backpack from Chloe that is basically my most prized possession besides my cat
Talk about colours and dyes as well please
Hi there! Is this 6oz leather thickness for the purse?

What brand is your duffle bag 8:32. Its very nice.
Hi!
What do you do with the dismantled leather?
Do you put it back together?
Or repurpose the leather?
I always wonder after he destroys the bag...does it put it back together...I know not all...but close maybe???...Its a torture to watch lol...thanks for the videos.
What kind of duffel bag was that under your work area?
I love to use leather that has natural markings in my projects. It gives it character and uniqueness.
Do you have any videos on Quince brand bags ?
Crazy what people are paying for nothing.
Just finished watching your podcast and now found a new video 😅 my lucky day 😂😂😂
Hi: Would it be possible for you to do a review of Cole Haan's Grand Ambition Side-Cinch Satchel? Many thanks.
Nice video 👍
Please review Valentino Toile Iconographe wallet..i was thinking of getting one coz I like the design but it would be nice to know if it is worth it.
Have you considered evaluating il bisonte?
@@tanner.leatherstein Awesome! Thanks for replying:)
I wish you would do #Bally out of Switzerland

He has considered that. The question is how much are we willing to pay for everything else. The biggest costs for luxury items are STATUS.
